  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the general characteristics, work overload, work life balance, job engagement of working adolescents and the factors affecting job engagement. We examined 1,772 working adolescents under the age of 24 years in response to the fifth Korean Working Conditions Survey. Technical statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and regression analysis were used. The study results showed that men had high-level job engagement when they were professional, self-employed, 41-52 hours per week, and never experienced employment discrimination. For women, job engagement was high if they were under 19 years of age, college graduates, professions, temporary work, 41-52 hours a week, and had never experienced gender discrimination, and employment discrimination. In addition, the job engagement of both men and women was higher when work overload was less and work life balance was good. This study is meaningful in that it examined the job engagement of working youth by using the Korean Working Conditions Survey representative of Korean workers. However, it has limitations in that it does not take into account specific circumstances such as academic status or military service. Based on the study results, it can be used as basic data for developing educational programs to manage job engagement and understanding of working adolescents.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the experience and meaning of discrimination among Korean-Chinese part-time job international students. To this end, after in-depth interviews with nine Korean-Chinese part-time job international students from May to June 2022, the data were analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological research method. The findings were as follows: New challenges for living expenses and efficient adaptation, this road full of thorns, efforts to adapt beyond discrimination, growth and relationships through part-time jobs turned out to be opportunities. This experience became a process for Korean-Chinese part-time international students to grow further as well as solve economic problems. However, they are subject to multiple discrimination due to their dual status as international students and ethnic Korean-Chinese. Their Korean identity gives a more directed differential experience in the process of working part-time. But in the process, they are still overcoming difficulties. Korean-Chinese international students are growing up by accepting discrimination experiences and adapting to their international life. As a result of the above research, we need education and help to guarantee working human rights for Korean-Chinese part-time students with the development of a multicultural society in the future.

Male nurses' experiences of workplace gender discrimination, reasons of gender discrimination, and improvement strategies were presented through the key themes. Conclusion: Male nurses experienced workplace gender discrimination from patients, colleagues, and institutions. Furthermore, strategies to improve gender stereotypes and to emphasize the strengths of male nurses are necessary in order to increase the number of male nurses in the female-dominant nursing field and to reduce job turnover. These strategies will help expand the social role of nurses as professionals and improve the work environment and benefits for all nurses.

  • In this study, we analysed the impact of performing level of CSR-Labor standard index to corporate's expectation level to raise the employee's job satisfaction and morale. Using ordered probit analysis method, corporate higher level of performing CSR-Labor standard index is related with higher expectation of raising the employee's jobs satisfaction and morale on average. Also performing levels of individual index are positively related with expectation level. When using all standard indexes in the analysis, index 3 named "workplace without discrimination" and index 7 named "healthy and safe workplace" have significant coefficients. Therefore we confirmed that corporate making efforts to achieve safe workplace without discrimination has higher expectation to raise the employee's job satisfaction and morale. Finally we concluded that CSR-Labor standard index is properly constructed.
