  • Last March, the world Go competition between AlphaGo, AI Go program developed by Google Deep Mind and professional Go player Lee Sedol has shown us that the 4th industrial revolution using AI has come close. Especially, there ar many system combined with AI hae been developing including program for researching legal information, system for expecting jurisdiction, and processing big data, there is saying that even AI legal person is ready for its appearance. As legal field is mostly based on text-based document, such characteristic makes it easier to adopt artificial intelligence technology. When a legal person receives a case, the first thing to do is searching for legal information and judical precedent, which is the one of the strength of AI. It is very difficult for a human being to utilize a flow of legal knowledge and figures by analyzing them but for AI, this is nothing but a simple job. The ability of AI searching for regulation, precedent, and literature related to legal issue is way over our expectation. AI is evaluated to be able to review 1 billion pages of legal document per second and many people agree that lot of legal job will be replaced by AI. Along with development of AI service, legal service is becoming more advanced and if it devotes to ethical solving of legal issues, which is the final goal, not only the legal field but also it will help to gain nation's trust. If nations start to trust the legal service, it would never be completely replaced by AI. What is more, if it keeps offering advanced, ethical, and quick legal service, value of law devoting to the society will increase and finally, will make contribution to the nation. In this time where we have to compete with AI, we should try hard to increase value of traditional legal service provided by human. In the future, priority of good legal person will be his/her ability to use AI. The only field left to human will be understanding and recovering emotion of human caused by legal problem, which cannot be done by AI's controlling function. Then, what would be the attitude of legal people in this period? It would be to learn the new technology and applying in the field rather than going against it, this will be the way to survive in this new AI period.

  • This study was attempted to provide basic data for developing future clinical competency enhancement of long-term care hospital nurses. Data were collected from 166 long-term care hospital nurses in G-do. Analysis was done using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Multiple regression with IBM SPSS WIN/21.0. The subjects' clinical competency was positively correlated to death awareness (r=.28, p<.001). The most influential factor on the subjects' clinical competency was death awereness (β=.235, p=.002), followed by marital status 'married' (β=-.214, p=.004), and have choice in days off 'agree' (β=.235, p=.002). The explanatory power was 16.2% (F=10.528, p<.001). Therefore, educational programs raising awareness of death, consideration of fellow nurses to have days off when desired, and encouraging married nurses to work are needed to enhance the clinical competency of long-term care hospital nurses. Utilizing the results of this study as basic data for clinical competency enhancement and in working schedule adjustment of long-term care hospital nurses is expected.

Thus the results could be used to suggest the direction in the performance of industrials nurses' activities effectively. During a period from January 10 to March 31, 1994, the data were collected from 87 industrial nurses, who were working as health managers in the plants, in Ulsan city and the vicinity in Kyungnam province, using a structured questionnaire. The results were as follows : 1. The general characteristics of industrial nurses in this study were 82.8% being 30 years old or less, 60.9%, being not married, and 93.1% having eduction levels above junior college. 2. With respect to general work conditions, 94.3% were working in a separate room provided for health care division, 40.2% working under the safety and health department, and 98.9% working as common-level staffs. And 60.9% were working less than 44 hours a week, 70.1% had work experiences less than 5 years, and 50.6% had annual incomes ranging 10 to 14 million wons. 3. As work conditions related to health care activities, 49.4% performed the activities not related to health care as always or occasionally, and 87.4% answered that occupational physicians were appointed in their plant and among them, however, only 6.9% worked on full-time basis and 52.8% perform little activities as occupational physicians. For a decision related to health care activity, 69.0% discussed the problems with the supervisors, and 19.5% made decisions by themselves. 4. As for attitude and perception to their activities as health managers, 66.7% moderately recognized the importance of health manager in the workplace, with 63.2% being satisfied their wages and treatment from the company, 57.5% being satisfied with their job positions and 51.7% having positive attitudes as being health managers. 5. The degree of performance at least in one of health related activities were very high in activities such as general medical care(100%), general health examination(98.0%) and specific health examination(100%), and relatively high in health education(72%), new employee health examination(60.9%), document handling(79.3%) and activity for work environment(70.1%). However, the performance rate was very low in preparing protective equipment (20.8%). 6. The levels of activities related to health care were significantly high when making decisions by themselves, when occupational physicians not being full-time, and when satisfying their job positions, and, on the other hand, significantly decreased as work hours increased. 7. In addition to some kinds of periodic education asked by all of the nurses, 89.7% wanted a specialized licensing system for industrial nurse, and 97.4% wanted to apply for the license test. As a conclusion, it is suggested that industrial nurses should be given more authority and placed in more self-controlled system to perform health care and other activities more efficiently, and the role and function of the occupational physician should be clearly distinguished from that of the industrial nurse as a health manager to avoid an unnecessary overlapping.

  • The purposes of this study were to find out the factors affecting the continuous participation of volunteer activities for disaster relief and to provide implications for the efficient management of sustainable disaster relief volunteer activities. In order to achieve these purposes, we investigated how much individual characteristics, the volunteer attitude and motivation, and institutional characteristics, respectively, affect the duration of disaster relief volunteer activities. The research was carried out targeting 261 disaster relief volunteer workers, aged over 20, who affiliated to various volunteer centers. Data were collected by survey methodology from May 7th to May 27th, 2008. A frequency analysis and a multiple regression were utilized for analyzing data. The results of this study were as follows: the continuity of volunteer activities of the subjects are likely to be high when they are older, have a job, are highly motivated, are assigned properly to the placement and task. Based on the results of this study, some practical implications were suggested. First, since placement and task assignment managed by volunteer organizations are very important for the continuity of volunteer activities, those organizations should have developed diverse volunteer activity programs considering volunteers' characteristics and interest. Second, the managers of those organizations need to sufficiently consider the characteristics of volunteers such as age and job when dispatching volunteers in disaster areas. The managers should help their volunteers to immerse in their volunteer work. Finally, it is necessary to induce social concern and support in disaster relief volunteer activities in order to make volunteers especially with jobs be constantly active in disaster relief activities.

  • This study was conducted to use the feedback of health personnel to improve the Visiting Health Service. The data was collected from 471 Home Health Workers serving 24 local health organizations in the Kyung-Pook province. 62.5% of the respondents were men under thirty-nine years of age. 92.8% of the respondents are married. 47.1% had degrees from junior colleges. It was ascertained 52.7% of the workers visited their patients six to twelve times within a six month period. And one to three patients were visited per day by one worker. Workers of older age, higher job position, and more experience were more positive in their feedback about the program. In addition, local health center employees, including nurses, were more positive about the program. Younger workers with a higher level of education, less experience, and lower job position had more insight into the problems of the program. Deeper insight into these problems led to a more negative conception of the program. Older workers with higher ranking jobs were found to be most competent. in their jobs. Workers at the main health center were assessed higher than the workers at the health sub-center or the primary health post. In addison nurses at all centers were found to be slightly more competent than the nurses' aide. The primary health post established the highest degree of patient satisfaction. It was discovered that the more positive the workers felt about the program, the higher their patient satisfaction feedback. There was a positive correlation between management assessment and patient satisfaction. This means that better program management was found to produce higher patient satisfaction. Workers feel being more educated about patient management would lead to better service. However, they take no action to produce these results. Where the problems of the system are most commented upon, the need for further education is greatest. Through multiple regression analyses it is apparent that the assessment of patient management is the greatest variable affecting patient satisfaction of patients is dependent on the management by the visiting health worker. Therefore, the development of the visiting health program is highly dependant on the feedback of those workers with a negative conception of the program. So the development of programs, motivation, education and training must be established. These works would lead to active participation by visiting health workers in the improvement of the Visiting health program.

  • Service companies are making constant efforts to gain positive business performance such as customer satisfaction, quality improvement, and valuable management. Compared to other industries, service companies are highly dependent on workers for responding to customers and satisfying various customer needs in terms of business content and type. Thus, the attitude, given, environment, and capacity of the workers who supply service and serve customers are important factors that directly and indirectly influence customer satisfaction and performance. To enhance the performance of organizations and gain competitive advantage, it is important to provide the various forms of social support for workers as service suppliers. In this sense, active interests including the development of personal competence, support for working environment, and providing chances for the development of new services are significant. This study is a follow-up study on the influence of social support for positive psychological capital, creativity, and work performance of service workers. Among the service process matrix, this study targets the workers involved in mass service fields and seeks to examine how support for co-worker influences the performance through self-efficacy. No empirical analysis has examined workers involved in mass service fields. Thus, this study aims to take an approach different from that of previous studies and to suggest more effective human resource management strategies for enhancing the competitiveness of service companies and provide related implications.

Twelve subjects were randomly selected in half an hour interview. They were signed there's own autograph on the informed consents. The contents of the qualitative interviews were divided into two parts: students' competency required for the field practice and the system of the field practice. The first part consisted of the attitude of the field's practice, how well has accomplished the job, and demanded requirements for the better performance. And the other part was made up of duration of practice, the number of students per institution and other opinion. The results showed that most of them have positive conception about student's competency. They mentioned that many students have 'enthusiastic behavior and attitude in task performance' and 'progressive attitude and mind in duty'. While 'lack of interest in practice and sociality', 'the arrogant demeanor in the fields', and 'passive behavior and attitude in the interpersonal relationship' should be avoided for excellent competency. It is required for dental hygiene students to write daily practice record and clarify their reasons to choose the institution for better performance. In addition, it should be considered to make concrete evaluation items and students and field managers should have mutual responsibility.
