암반에 근입된 말뚝의 선단 거동 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Behavior of Toe of Drilled Shaft on the Rock Mass)

  • Despite of the increasing number of the application of the drilled shaft pile in construction site, most of the study of pile capacity has been centered side shear resistance. But it is common that the drilled shaft is socketed on the rock so as to use the bearing resistance, so prediction of the toe's movement and characteristic of the bearing capacity is important as the side shear resistance. Therefore the model tests were performed in order to study the characteristic of bearing capacity on rock mass. The material of the test blocks were the mortar which was mixed with sand, cement and water, and test block size was $240{\times}240{\times}240mm$. Load was pressed by the 45mm of diameter of miniaturized pile and plate jack and steal plate were used to the confined stress for representing the underground condition. The relation of load-displacement was measured in many different conditions of rock mass such as direction of discontinuities, spacing and strength, and q-w curves of the toe of the pile were verified in each condition.

하나원 입소 북한 이탈주민의 개인적 특성과 건강 신념이 건강 행위에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of individual Characteristics and Health Beliefs on North Korean Refugees' Health Behavior)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide base data for preparing plans that North Korean (NK) Refugees can adjust themselves to our society with a healthy mind after they get over their health problems using the Health Belief Model, knowing the relationship between individual characteristics and health beliefs, and health behavior. Methods: The subjects were 304 NK adult refugees in Hanawon. Data were collected by demographic questionnaire, health behavior scale, self-efficacy scale, perceived benefit scale, perceived barrier scale, perceived seriousness, perceived sensibility, and individual characteristics. Results: The factors influencing the health behavior of NK refugees were perceived benefits, self-efficacy, the period in the third country and experience in being expelled to NK, and these variables were describing 31.4% of the health behaviors of refugees. Conclusion: The perceived benefits and self-efficacy of health belief and specific experiences related to refugee affected NK refugees' health behavior.

여대생의 흡연 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구 (A Phenomenological Study on Smoking Experience among Female College Students)

  • Objectives: This study was to understand the essence and the meanings of smoking experience in female undergraduate students. Methods: Colaizzi's phenomenological method was used. Data were collected by in-depth interviews with six undergraduate female students. Field notes, recording under the subjects' agreement, and telephone interview were also used. Results: In the analysis, 131 significant statements, 15 themes, 7 categories emerged. The seven categories were as follows; 'the first smoking for change and adaptation', 'becoming a part of self', 'good friend without any reason', 'a bond with friends', 'gazing with bad eyes', 'unexpected guest without realizing it', 'willingness to smoke more'. Conclusion: The results of this study will help professionals to understand the smoking behavior of female undergraduate students. We should consider positive experience toward smoking in young women for considering to plan smoking cessation program.

  • Rheo-diecasting with stirring has been used in many material industries. As the 4th Industrial Revolution approaches the world, eco-friendly high-strength and light-weight materials become more important. Casting methods have been studied and used for aluminum-alloy automobile parts. This study carried out the effect analysis of the micro-structure and mechanical properties, such as yield/ultimate tensile strength, elongation, and hardness, of A356 using the 6-pole EMS (electro-magnetic stirring) casting process with a high electromagnetic force. As a result, the hardness and elongation of the A356 after T6 heat-treatment show a significant improvement, respectively, by 20% and 50%.

유출유동 및 각도진 요철이 회전하는 사각덕트 내 열전달분포에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Bleed Flow and Angled Ribs on Heat Transfer Distributions in a Rotating Square Channel)

  • The present study investigated the effects of channel rotation and bleed flow on heat/mass transfer in a square channel with $45^{\circ}$ rib turbulators. The bleed holes were located between the rib turbulators on the leading surface and those on the trailing surface case by case. The tests were conducted under the conditions of various bleed ratios (0.0, 0.2, 0.4) and rotation numbers (0.0, 0.2, 0.4) at Re=10,000. The results suggested that heat/mass transfer characteristics were influenced by the Coriolis force, decrement of main flow rate, secondary flow by angled ribs and bleed hole location. As the bleed ratio (BR) increased, the heat/mass transfer decreased on both surfaces due to the reduction of main flow rate. With increment of the rotation number, heat/mass transfer also decreased and almost the same because the reattachment of the secondary flow induced by angled ribs was weakened on the leading surface and the secondary flow was disturbed on the trailing surface by the Coriolis force.

The bleed holes were located between the rib turbulators on the leading surface and those on the trailing surface case by case. The tests were conducted under the conditions of various bleeding ratios (0.0, 0.2, 0.4) and rotation numbers (0.0, 0.2, 0.4) at Re=10,000. The results suggested that heat/mass transfer characteristics were influenced by the Coriolis force, bleed flow and bleed hole location. The heat/mass transfer on the surface with bleed flow was more increased than that without bleed flow but that on the opposition surface was decreased. Those were due to the effects of the tripping flow and the diminution of main flow rate respectively. The results also showed that the heat/mass transfer characteristics were different according to bleed hole location and channel rotation.

임상치과위생사의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Influencing factors of turnover intention in the clinical dental hygienists)

  • Objectives: The objective of the study was to investigate the influencing factors of turnover intention in the clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 415 dental hygienists in Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Kyongsang province from October 1 to December 31, 2014. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS statistics 19.0 with a significance level of 0.05. The study instruments included 9 questions of the general characteristics of the subjects, 7 questions of job related characteristics, 16 questions of job stress, 20 questions of job satisfaction, 10 questions of burnout, 15 questions of organizational commitment, 10 questions of happiness index, and 10 questions of turnover intention measured by Likert 5 point scale. Results: Turnover intention was significantly related with job stress, burnout, and organizational commitment. Conclusions: In order to reduce the turnover intention in the hospital workers, it is very important to manage the human resources through continuous development of the competence and performance activation program.

90도 요철이 설치된 회전덕트에서 유출홀이 열/물질전달에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Bleed Hole on Heat/Mass Transfer in a Rotating Channel with Transverse Ribs)

  • The present study investigates the effects of bleed flow on heat/mass transfer and pressure drop in a rotating channel with transverse rib turbulators. The hydraulic diameter ($D_h$) of the square channel is 40.0 mm. The bleed holes are located between the rib turburators on leading surface and the hole diameter (d) is 4.5 mm. The square rib turbulators are installed on both leading and trailing surfaces. The rib-to-rib pitch is 10.0 times of the rib height (e) and the rib height-to-hydraulic diameter ratio ($e/D_h$) is 0.055. The tests were conducted at various rotation numbers (0, 0.2, 0.4), while the Reynolds number and the rate of bleed flow to main flow were fixed at 10,000 and 10%, respectively. The results suggest that the heat/mass transfer characteristics in the internal cooling passage are influenced by rib turbulators, bleed flow and the Cariolis force induced by rotation. For the rotating ribbed passage with bleed flow, the heat/mass transfer on the leading surface is hardly affected by bleed flow, but that on the trailing surface decreases due to the diminution of main flow. The results also show that the friction factor decreases with the bleed flow.

가미천마구등음이 고혈압 병태모델에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Kamicheonmagudeungeum on Hypertension)

  • Kamicheonmagudeungeum(KCGE), a traditional herbal medicine, has been used as a therapeutic agent for the treatments of acute stage of hypertension. We evaluated the effects of KCGE on hypertension induced by DOCA-salt in rats. The systolic blood pressure and pulse rate significantly lowered by oral administration with KCGE. The levels of plasma hormones including dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine, and serum electrolyte were also reduced in KCGE treated rats. In addition, the production of reactive oxigen species (ROS) were greatly decreased by the treatment with KCGE in cultured bovine endothelial cells and angiotensine converting enzyme (ACE) activites were also inhibited by KCGE in a dose dependent manner. This study indicated that KCGE is a safe and effective treatment for hypertension.
