Elementary School Computer Education with the Focus on Case Study Using LOGO Programming Language and Fractal Geometry Theory (로고 프로그래밍 언어와 프랙탈 기하이론을 이용한 초등학교 컴퓨터교육 활용 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 초등학교 교육과정에서 교육목표로 다루고 있는 창의성이라는 주제와 학교현장에서 초등학생들에게 쉽게 접목시킬 수 있는 교육용 프로그래밍 언어인 LOGO 프로그래밍과 프랙탈 기하이론을 초등학교 컴퓨터교육에 활용하기 위한 방안을 제시한다. 향후 컴퓨터교육과정은 알고리즘과 프로그래밍 영역이 포함될 예정이며, 이러한 알고리즘과 프로그래밍 교육에는 교육용 프로그래밍 언어 사용이 필수적이며 이의 활용에 대한 연구가 시급한 상황이다. LOGO 프로그래밍과 프랙탈을 함께 지도함으로서 규칙성, 반복성, 유사성, 닮음 등 수학적 개념을 쉽게 이해하는 것이 가능하므로, 이를 활용하여 초등학교 수학과 교육과정에서 반드시 학습해야 할 도형, 측정, 규칙성과 문제 해결 영역과 연계하여 지도하면 좋은 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 특정 서비스군의 소비자 니즈를 신속히 파악하기 위하여 일기와 같은 자연언어 텍스트를 활용한 분류 모델을 개발한다. 목적에 맞는 감정상태군을 정의하여 필수적인 감정들로 통합한 후 주어진 데이터셋에서 해당 감정 컬럼을 추출하여 텍스트 형식을 통일한다. 파이썬의 Keras 라이브러리를 사용하여 임베딩 레이어, LSTM 레이어, 밀집 레이어 등으로 학습 네트워크를 구성한 후 추출된 텍스트로 학습한 결과는 15회의 이포크 수행으로 98%의 정확도에 도달한다.

Wittgenstein's Logic of Language and Metaphysics (비트겐슈타인의 언어 논리와 형이상학)

  • This paper deals with the problem, which logic of language and which metaphysics Wittgenstein suggests in the Tractatus logico-philosophicus. I will ultimately show how he bases the metaphysics on the logic of language. The logic of language by which Wittgenstein sets the limit to the language 'in the language' is the logical syntax of the language. And Wittgenstein extends the idea of the logical syntax to the understanding the nature of the world, i.e. to the metaphysics. The logical form the language(proposition) must have is the form of the world(or the nature of the world), and it can be determined only together with the logical syntax of the language. But what is the logical form(form of the world) 'cannot be said', since the proposition saying it is devoid of 'sense' and 'says nothing'. Therefore Wittgenstein expresses that the logical form(form of the world) 'can only be shown' in the proposition that has sense. The Metaphysics Wittgenstein wants to base on the logic of language(the logical syntax) must be mystical.

Frontotemporal Dementia (전두측두엽 치매)

  • Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is a degenerative disease characterized by the selective frontal and temporal lobe atrophy, and progressive deficits in behavior, executive function, or language. The prevalence and incidence of FTD are 15-22/100000 and 2.7-4.1/100000, respectively, in midlife. Hereditary is an important risk factor for FTD. Although there is some controversy regarding the further syndromatic subdivision of the different types of FTD, FTD is clinically classified into behavioral variant of frontotemporal dementia, semantic dementia and progressive nonfluent aphasia. FTD can be misdiagnosed as many psychiatric disorders because of similarity of the prominent behavioral features. Advances in clinical, imaging, and molecular characterization have increased the accuracy of FTD diagnosis, thus developing for the accurate differentiation of these syndromes from psychiatric disorders. We also discuss about therapeutic strategies for symptom management of FTD. Medications such as serotonin reuptake inhibitors, antipsychotics, and other novel treatments have been used in FTD with various rates of success. Further advanced research should be directed at understanding and developing new diagnostic and therapeutic modalities to improve the FTD patients' prognosis and quality of life.

React Native and Android Mobile Apps for Smart Tourism Information Service to FITs

  • We develop a smart tourism information system that provides smart tourism services to free independent tourists (FITs) through various content distribution channels such as mobile apps, Instagram, YouTube, and chatbots. The smart tourism information system provides location and storytelling-based tourism information, accommodation, restaurant information, and recommended travel products so that tourists can create a travel itinerary based on personalized situation awareness. The smart tourism information system also provides smart tourism services using commercial maps, navigation, and weather forecast APIs from the Korea Meteorological Administration to provide smart tour guide services to tourists who travel according to the travel itinerary. In this paper, we develop the React Native app that provides smart tourism services provided by the smart tourism information system. The smart tourism React Native app has implemented two methods: a method that directly connects to the smart tourism information system, and a method that provides services by interworking through the GraphQL Query Language developed by META (Facebook). The smart tourism React Native app implements OSMU (One Source Multi-use) by providing tourism information from mobile apps, photos from Instagram, and drone videos from YouTube as an integrated UI.

Social Behaviors, Psychosocial Adjustments, and Language Ability of Aggressive Victims, Passive Victims, and Bullies in Preschool Children (또래 괴롭힘 공격적 피해, 수동적 피해 및 가해 유아의 사회적 행동, 심리사회적 적응과 언어능력)

  • This study investigated prevalence rates and differences in social behaviors, psychosocial adjustments, and language ability of preschool children who engaged in bully/victim subgroups: aggressive victims, passive victims, bullies, and non-involved. The participants were 297 preschool children and their teachers in Jeju City. The teachers measured children's peer victimization, social behaviors, and teacher-child relationships. Children's language ability and self-concept were also assessed by individual interview. There were significant differences in social behaviors, psychosocial adjustments, and language ability among the bully/victim subgroups. Aggressive victims included in a high risk group characterized by a high level of aggression, ADHD, peer rejection as well as conflicted relationships with teachers. Moreover, they had limited language ability. The findings highlight behavioral heterogeneity among the bully/victim subgroups in early childhood.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between self-report, peer nomination, and teacherreport of peer group rejection among preschool children. Moreover, we examined the influence of self-concept, language skills, social behaviors, and hyperactivity on peer group rejection. The participants were 297 4 and 5 year children recruited from preschools and day care centers. Teacher completed children’s social behaviors and children were interviewed to assess their self-concept and language skills. The results indicated that teacher-report was significantly correlated with self-report and peer nomination. According to informants, the associations between peer rejection and children's characteristics were different.

  • This study aims to propose instituting the serious games of language-based cognitive enhancement for the BIF children. The program consists of 4 cognitive areas (perception, attention, working memory, knowledge inference) in 4 language dimensions (phoneme, word, sentence, discourse). 16 games of 4 areas/2 dimensions with 3 difficulty levels were implemented in a mobile station and pilot-tested to children including BIFs. The results from the pilot tests supported for the validity and effectiveness of our games: Children's game performance correlated with their IQ scores (overall and sub-areas) revealing significant differences between the groups. The stroop scores in pre-and-post training hinted the increase of children's cognitive control.

Study on the improvement plans for Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival through the survey and evaluation of satisfaction (제주국제관악제 만족도 조사 및 자체 평가를 통한 개선 방안 제안 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify and improve the satisfaction of people attending the Jeju International Wind Festival, the representative festival in Jeju. The Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival is a festival in which people communicate with each other through music. The objective of this study is to investigate user satisfaction of the International Wind Ensemble Festival and to make improvement plans. The average satisfaction rate for the event was 75.8% (Satisfaction + Great satisfaction). In addition, the average program level of the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival and average appropriateness of the event space were 86.9% (Satisfaction + Great satisfaction) and 85.2% (Satisfaction + Great satisfaction), respectively. The disadvantage is that public transportation that should be improved. According to results of the survey through the interview, the town wind ensemble festival and outside concert enabled performers to communicate with the audience through melody. In order for the Jeju International Orchestra Festival to take root as a festival for citizens, it is necessary to increase the convenience of transportation, secure personnel in charge of the secretariat, revitalize the Jeju International Orchestra Festival website, and promote volunteer activities. We present future research direction.

Development of the Rule-based Smart Tourism Chatbot using Neo4J graph database

  • We have been developed the smart tourism app and the Instagram and YouTube contents to provide personalized tourism information and travel product information to individual tourists. In this paper, we develop a rule-based smart tourism chatbot with the khaiii (Kakao Hangul Analyzer III) morphological analyzer and Neo4J graph database. In the proposed chatbot system, we use a morpheme analyzer, a proper noun dictionary including tourist destination names, and a general noun dictionary including containing frequently used words in tourist information search to understand the intention of the user's question. The tourism knowledge base built using the Neo4J graph database provides adequate answers to tourists' questions. In this paper, the nodes of Neo4J are Area based on tourist destination address, Contents with property of tourist information, and Service including service attribute data frequently used for search. A Neo4J query is created based on the result of analyzing the intention of a tourist's question with the property of nodes and relationships in Neo4J database. An answer to the question is made by searching in the tourism knowledge base. In this paper, we create the tourism knowledge base using more than 1300 Jeju tourism information used in the smart tourism app. We plan to develop a multilingual smart tour chatbot using the named entity recognition (NER), intention classification using conditional random field(CRF), and transfer learning using the pretrained language models.
