  • In this paper, a robust watermarking technique is presented by using a block-based statistics in DCT domain. First, the proposed technique calculates JND threshold value using the global statistics in DCT domain. Then watermark insertion is carried out by inserting one watermark into coefficients which are above the threshold value J within a 2${\times}$2 block. Finally, watermark is estimated by averaging the extracted watermarks from the coefficients which are above the threshold in a window. In experiments it is shown that the proposed techniques can enhance perceptual invisibility and robustness against additive noise and JPEG compression attacks by using the characteristics of JND.

  • In this paper, a novel approach which enables rapid die surface modification for sheet metal forming process is proposed. In this method an implicit surface which interpolates a given set of control points and displacement constraints is generated to compute the displacements at arbitrary points located on die surface. The proposed method does not depend on the underlying surface representation type and is affected neither by its complexity nor by its quality. In addition, the domain decomposition method is introduced in order to treat large surface model. The global domain of interest is divided into smaller domains where the problem can be solved locally. And then the local solutions are combined together to obtain a global solution. In order to verify the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method, various surface modifications are carried out fur three kinds of die surface model including polygonal surface composed of triangular and rectangular meshes, polynomial surface and NURBS surface.

  • We pay attention to a coupled problem by a penalty term which is induced from non-overlapping domain decomposition methods based on augmented Lagrangian methodology. The coupled problem is composed by two parts mainly; one is a problem associated with local problems in non-overlapping subdomains and the other is a coupled part over all subdomains due to the penalty term. For the speedup of iterative solvers for the coupled problem, we propose two different types of preconditioners: a block-diagonal preconditioner and an additive Schwarz preconditioner as overlapping domain decomposition methods. We analyze the coupled problem and the preconditioned problems in terms of their condition numbers. Finally we present numerical results which show the performance of the proposed methods.

  • The linearized buckling problem is considered for an isotropic clamped-clamped cylindrical shell with an oblique end. A theoretical solution based on the Budiansky shell theory is developed, and numerical results are determined using the differential quadrature method. In formulating the solutions, the surface of the shell is developed onto a plane, and the resulting irregular domain is then mapped, using blending functions, onto a square parent domain. The analysis is carried out in the parent domain. Convergence, validation, and parametric studies are conducted for a uniform external pressure loading. Results determined are compared with finite element results. The paper ends with an appropriate set of conclusions.

  • Let $F=R^{(n)}$ be a free R-module of finite rank $n{\geq}2$. In this paper, we characterize the prime submodules of F with at most n generators when R is a $Pr{\ddot{u}}fer$ domain. We also introduce the notion of prime matrix and we show that when R is a valuation domain, every finitely generated prime submodule of F with at least n generators is the row space of a prime matrix.

  • Given bounded pseudoconvex domains in 2-dimensional complex Euclidean space, we derive analytical and geometric conditions which guarantee the Diederich-$Forn{\ae}ss$ index is 1. The analytical condition is independent of strongly pseudoconvex points and extends $Forn{\ae}ss$-Herbig's theorem in 2007. The geometric condition reveals the index reflects topological properties of boundary. The proof uses an idea including differential equations and geometric analysis to find the optimal defining function. We also give a precise domain of which the Diederich-$Forn{\ae}ss$ index is 1. The index of this domain can not be verified by formerly known theorems.

  • In this paper, we represented the variation of heart cavity area in the space domain by 3-d rendering. We arranged the 2-d sequence of ultrasonic image acquired in the time domain as volumetric data, and extracted heart cavity region from 3-d data. For the segmentation of 3-d volume data, we extracted the cavity region using the method of expanding the cavity region that is same statistical property. By shading which is using light and object normal vector, we visualized the volume data on image plane.

  • Recently, two-port time-domain passivity approach was modified for time-varying communication delay. The newly proposed approach could achieve stable teleoperation even under the serious time-varying delay and packet loss communication condition. However, after some operation hour, the accumulated energy difference between the input energy from one port and the output energy at the other port caused unstable behavior until the passivity controller is activated. Resetting scheme is introduced for solving this problem, and stable bilateral teleoperation can be guaranteed without worrying about the accumulated energy difference.

  • It is necessary for us to maintain good the quality of products in iron and steel making process, especially in the rolling mill plants. Thus, we need check the stability criteria of control systems. In the frequency domain, the whole system including controllers can be identified using FFT analyzer. But this method is not adequete where precise identification is demanded. Thus a way to complement the defects In the frequency domain analysis using FFT analyzer is introduced. And In the time domain, to establish the stability criteria on the control systems, the assumed parameters obtained using least square method are presented in this report.

  • Seismic qualification by test is widely used as a way to show the integrity and functionality of equipment that is related to the overall safety of nuclear power plants. Another means of seismic qualification is by direct integration analysis. Both approaches require a series of time histories as an input. However, in most cases, the possibility of using real earthquake data is limited. Thus, artificial time histories are widely used instead. In many cases, however, response spectra are given. Thus, most of the artificial time histories are generated from the given response spectra. Obtaining the response spectrum from a given time history is straightforward. However, the procedure for generating artificial time histories from a given response spectrum is difficult and complex to understand. Thus, this paper presents a simple time-domain method for generating a time history from a given response spectrum; the method was shown to satisfy conditions derived from nuclear regulatory guidance.
