  • Nonlinear static analysis is used to quantify the resistance of the structure to lateral deformation and to gauge the mode of deformation and intensity of local demands. A simple method for the nonlinear static analysis of complex building structures subjected to monotonically increasing horizontal loading(pushover analysis) is presented. The method is designed to be a part of new methodologies for the seismic design and evaluation of structures. A variety of existing pushover analysis procedures are currently being consolidated under programs such as ATC 40 and FEMA 273. And various techniques have been recommended, including the use of constant lateral force profiles and the use of adaptive and multimodal approaches. In this paper a modal pushover analysis using design response spectra of UBC 97 is proposed. Proposed method is compared against the method in FEMA 273 and ATC 40, and results of time history analysis.

  • Derailment is likely to have a direct connection with human life and must be eliminated. A traveling safety evaluation method based mainly on derailment coefficient has already established. But this method is very difficult because Derailment is caused by multiple factors. To evaluate the derailment factor of running train that runs on the curved track, we make use of mechanism that wheel loads and lateral forces were affected by track and rolling stock parameter. In this paper, deal with a search on the parameter and derailment factor. According to results of computer simulation value of Q/P, running safety is connected with operation velocity, curve radius, cant, track irregularity, suspension stiffness and static wheel load ratio, etc.

부정맥(不整脈)에 대(對)한 동서의학적(東西醫學的) 문헌고찰(文獻考察) (A Investigation into Arrhythmia between East and West medicine)

  • through a literal study upon Arrhythmia between east and west medicine, the results were as follows 1. Arrhythmia is not only irregular cardiac beat but disorder of cardiac impulse making and conduction disturbance. it means almost irregularity of interval between two beat 2. In the east medicine, arrhythmia is represented various category as palpitation, continuous palpitation, dizziness, consumption which give the first consideration by the accompanied symptoms. A separate way in a diagnostics it become a base of diagnosis of diseases and decision of prognosis by the examination of pulse 3. In the west medicine, Arrhythmia is classified as disorder of heart rate, rhythm, conduction disturbance or tachycardia, bradycardia and it is concomitant with fatigue, palpitation, dyspnoea, syncope, chest discomfort 4. The diagnostic study of pulse condition which represent arrhythmia was started from $\mathbb{<}$Nae-Kyung$\mathbb{>}$ and it was revealed as pulse condition of rapid pulse, slow pulse, swift pulse, running pulse, knotted pulse, intermittent pulse etc. Out of them running pulse, knotted pulse, intermittent pulse which obviously are concomitant with irregularity of interval are clinically meaningful in a conditions of disease and decision of prognosis. and the significance of these pulse condition are transformed through the changes of the times 5. According to cause of disease it is classified by Arrhythmia(running pulse, knotted pulse, intermittent pulse) due to heat, cold, phlegm, deficiency(or insufficiency) and There are three categories of etiological factor that is, endogenous, exogenous and non-exo-endogenous factor. the endogenous factor is insufficiency of the heart Ki, deficiency of both Ki and blood, intemal stagnation of phlegm and fluid, stagnation of seven emotions. the exogenous factor is caused by stagnation of Ki and blood by six exogenous pathogenic factor and the non-exo-endgenous factors are improper diet, overstrain, traumatic injury. A cause of arrhythmia in western medicine are a organic and pathological change of the heart itself and malfunction of the autonomic nervous system.

영유아 식행동 검사도구 개발 및 타당도 검정 (The Development and Validation of Eating Behavior Test Form for Infants and Young Children)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to develop and validate Eating Behaviors Test form (EBT) for infants and young children, including eating behaviors of their parents and parental feeding practices. Methods: Draft version of EBT form was developed after a pretest on 83 mothers. It was consisted of 42 questions including 3 components; eating behavior of children, eating behavior of parents, and parental feeding practices. Using these questionnaires, the first survey was conducted on 320 infants and children, 1 to 6 year old, for exploratory factor analysis, and the second survey was collected on 731 infants and children for confirmatory factor analysis. Results: Exploratory factor analysis on 42 questions of EBT form resulted in 3 factor model for children's eating behavior, 3 factor model for parents' eating behavior, and 1 factor model for parental feeding practices. Three factors for children's eating behavior could be explained as follows; factor 1, pickiness (reliability ${\alpha}=0.89$; explanation of variance=27.79), factor 2, over activity (${\alpha}=0.80$, explanation of variance=16.51), and factor 3, irregularity (${\alpha}=0.59$, explanation of variance=10.01). Three factors for mother's eating behavior could be explained as follows; factor 1,irregularities (${\alpha}=0.73$, explanation of variance=21.73), factor 2, pickiness (${\alpha}=0.65$, explanation of variance= 20.16), and factor 3, permissiveness (${\alpha}=0.60$, explanation of variance=19.13). Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed an acceptance fit for these models. Internal consistencies for these factors were above 0.6. Conclusions: Our results indicated that EBT form is a valid tool to measure comprehensive eating and feeding behaviors for infants and young children.

청소년의 식행동과 심리적 요인이 피곤 자각도에 미치는 영향 (Contribution of Food Behavior an Psychological Factor to Perceived Tiredness in Adolescens)

  • The relationship among food behavior, psychological factor(life strees) and perceive tiredness was investigated in 514 adolescents. Tiredness was measured in four cases: in lessons, before school, in the early evening and at weekends. Adolescents felt most tired in lessons and before school, and leat at weekends. Irregularity of meal times and skipping breakfast were positively correlated with tiredness in lessons and befor school. Consumption of some foods was related to perceived tiredness. High sugar or fat containing ice-cream, hamburger of fizzy drinks in boys, and crisps and cookies in girls were positively associated with tiredness. Whereas beans and mushrooms were negatively associated with tiredness in girls. Life stress(by scholastic problem and personal problem) of adolescents was positively related to tiredness. The contribution of stress to tiredness was much greater than of food behavior according to multiple linear regression .There was no relationship between nutrients intake and tiredness in lessons and before school which were more strongly influenced by stress, whereas the relationship was found at weekend without influences of stress. The more tired, the lower NARs(nutrient adequacy ratio) of energy, phosphorus, vitamin A, vitamin B$_2$, and niacin were. In conclusion, some eating behavior and psychological factor can cause tiredness in adolescents, but tiredness in school and before school had more of a psychological cause than at weekend. Predicting Successful Defibrillation in Ventricular Fibrillation using Wave Analysis and Neuro-fuzzy

  • The purpose of this study was to predict successful defibrillation in ventricular fibrillation using parameters extracted by wave analysis method and neuro-fuzzy. Total 15 dogs were tested for predicting successful defibrillation. Feature parameters were extracted for return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) and non-ROSC by wave analysis method, and these parameters are an irregularity factor, spectral moments, mean power of level-crossing spectrum, and mean of alpha-significant value. Additionally, two parameters by analyzing method of frequency were extracted into a mean of power spectrum and a mean frequency. Then extracted parameters were analyzed in which parameters result to have high performance of discriminating ROSC and non-ROSC by a statistical method of t-test. The average of sensitivity and specificity were 62.5% and 75.0%, respectively. The average of positive predictive factor and negative predictive factor were 61.2% and 75.8%, respectively.

수직비정형과 비틀림비정형을 동시에 가지는 저층 RC 건물의 내진성능에 관한 연구 (Study on the Seismic Performance for Low-rised RC Building with Vertical and Torsional Irregularities)

  • Korean piloti-type buildings are comprised of pilotis in the first story and shear walls in the upper stories. This vertical irregularity causes excessive lateral plastic deformation on the first story while the upper stories stay elastic. Meanwhile, asymmetric position of structural components such as core walls and columns of RC piloti-type buildings tends to produce torsional irregularities of the structures. Korean Building Code(KBC2016) requires the special seismic load and torsional amplification factor to apply to the piloti-type buildings lower than six-story or 20m if it has vertical and torsional irregularities when the building corresponds to seismic design category C or D. Many Korean low-rised RC buildings fall into the class. Therefore, the special earthquake load and torsional amplification factor are often applied to a building simultaneously. However, it has not been studied enough how much influence each parameter has on buildings with vertical and torsional irregularities at the same time. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of factor special seismic load and torsional amplification on seismic performance of irregular buildings. In this study, a damaged 4th story piloti-type building by the Pohang earthquake was selected and the earthquake response analysis was carried out with various seismic design methods by the KBC 2016. The effect of the design parameters on seismic performance was analyzed by the dynamic analysis of models with special seismic load and torsional amplification factor based on the selected building. It was concluded that the application of the torsional amplification factor to the reference model to which special seismic design was applied, does not significantly affect the seismic performance.

방진체결장치에 작용하는 수직하중 평가를 통한 성능시험하중 평가 (Evaluation of the Performance Test Load through the Estimation of Vertical Loads on Vibration-Proof Fastening Systems)

  • 본 연구에서는 도시철도에 사용되는 방진체결장치가 현장에서 부담하는 하중의 체계적 평가를 통하여 방진체결장치의 성능시험하중에 대한 기준이 정립되었다. 방진체결장치가 가질 수 있는 동적 강성 범위를 알아보기 위하여 국내에서 공급 가능한 3가지 유형의 방진체결장치들에 대하여 동적 시험을 수행하였다. 이들 방진체결장치에 작용하는 하중을 평가하기 위하여 동적 강성을 변화하면서 차량-궤도 상호작용해석을 수행하였다. 해석의 중요 입력요소인 궤도틀림은 측정자료를 토대로 도출된 궤도틀림 PSD(Power Spectral Density) 회귀 함수로 고려하였다. 도시철도의 다양한 운영환경을 고려하여 방진체결장치에 작용하는 하중을 평가한 후, 평가된 하중을 토대로 방진체결장치의 성능시험하중에 대한 기준을 제시하였다.

차체의 유연성을 고려한 고속철도 차량 승차감 해석 (Ride Comfort Analysis of High-Speed Train with Flexible Car Bodies)

  • 고속철도 개발에 있어 승차감은 차량의 품질을 결정하는 중요한 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 고속철도 차량의 강체 및 유연체 모델 각각에 대해 속도증가에 따른 고속철도 차량의 승차감을 평가하였다. 가진원은 휠/레일 불균일에 의한 상하 진동만을 고려하였다. 속도 증가에 따른 차체의 진동을 계산하기 위해 강체 및 유연체 모델의 고유진동수와 모드형상을 계산하였다. 복잡한 형상의 압출재로 구성된 차체를 유연체로 모델링하기 위해 등가 물성치를 산출하여 등가 쉘로 모델링하였다. 계산된 차량의 진동으로 승차감을 평가한 결과, 강체 모델로 예측된 고속철도의 승차감은 고속에서 오히려 좋아지는 불합리한 결과가 도출 되었다. 반면 차량의 유연체 모드까지 고려하여 평가한 고속철도의 승차감은 속도 증가에 따라 승차감이 나빠지는 당연한 결과를 보여 주었다. 따라서 고속에서의 철도차량 개발은 차체의 유연체 특성을 고려해야함을 확인하였다.

치기공과 재학생의 건강관련 심신 자각증상에 관한 연구 (A study of the psychosomatic self-reported symptoms of the dental technology students)

  • Purpose: This study aims to present a database for the development of a healthcare management program based on the survey and analysis of self reported psychosomatic symptoms among the current dental technology students. Methods: Subjects of our study are 480 dental technology major students enrolled in a third year college located Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Gangwon province. Using a random sampling, we conducted a self-report survey from August 30, 2011 to October 28, 2011 and 418 reports were collected as feedback and we put an analysis on them. Results: 1. The average physical self symptom was 20.49, which is higher than the average mental self symptom(18.54). Of the subcategories of psychosomatic self symptom, we observed multiple subjective symptoms as the highest one(37.77), and aggression as the lowest(13.77). 2. As to gender, both physical and mental self symptom were statistically significant with the scale score of(p<.001). The scale score of subcategories is as follows; multiple subjective symptoms(I, p<.001), eye and skin(B, p<.001), digestive(C, p<.001), impulsiveness(H, p<.001), lie scale(L, p<.001), mental instability(J, p<.001), depression(K, p<.001), aggression(F, p<.001), irregularity of life(G, p<.001), mouth and anal(D, p<.05), nervousness(E, p<.05). 3. As for obesity, statistical significance was shown with the scale scores of physical self symptom(p<.001), multiple subjective symptoms(I, p<.001), digestive(C, p<.001), aggression(F, p<.001), depression(K, p<.01), irregularity of life(G, p<.01), respiratory(A, p<.05), eye and skin(B, p<.05), impulsiveness(H, p<.05), mental instability(J, p<.05). The scale scores in the environmental quality and life satisfaction were shown as follows; depression(K, p<.001), lie scale(L, p<.01), and irregularity of life(G, p<.05). 4. We employed multiple regression analysis to take account of general factors affecting psychosomatic self symptoms, and drew that the explanatory power of the model was proved with the scales of physical self symptom(4.1%) and mental self-symptom(3.6%). Obesity was a factor that affects physical self symptom with the scale score of(p<.01), and environmental quality and life satisfaction(p<.01) and obesity(p<.05) affect mental self symptom. Conclusion: In this analysis we observed obesity of dental technology students can influence their psychosomatic self symptoms. In this sense, it would be reasonable to develop a healthcare management and education programs that help the students maintain a healthy weight and promote their health.
