뒷채움재로 이용한 고로 수쇄슬래그의 토압특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Study on Earth Pressure Properties of Granulated Blast Furnace Slag Used as Back-fill Material)

  • 고로 수쇄슬래그는 선철의 제철과정에서 생산되는 부산물로서 자연 해성모래와 유사한 입자형상을 가지고 경량이며 큰 전단강도와 투수성을 나타낸다. 특히, 고로 수쇄슬래그는 시간경과와 더불어 경화하는 잠재수경성을 가진다. 따라서 고로 수쇄슬래그가 안벽이나 옹벽의 뒷채움 재료로 사용 되어졌을 때, 경화에 의한 전단강도의 증가로 토압감소가 기대되며, 결과적으로 항만구조물의 건설비용이 감소하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 모형토조를 이용하여 고로 수쇄슬래그와 Toyoura sand에 대해 토압, 벽 마찰력, 가동벽체 표면에서의 토압분포를 측정하는 모형실험을 실시하였다. 실험에서 상대밀도는 25%, 55% 및 70%로 설정하였으며 벽체는 저점을 중심으로 주동 및 수동토압측으로 회전시켰다. 벽체 상부에서의 최대 수평변위는 ${\pm}2mm$로 설정하였다. 모형실험 결과, 고로 수쇄슬래그에서 얻어진 주동토압이 Toyoura sand보다 작음을 알았다.

중학생의 혈액 중 중금속 모니터링 (The Monitoring of Heavy Metals in Human Bloods of Middle School Students)

  • 1 혈액 중 중금속 분석방법을 확립하기 위하여 GF-hAS를 이용하여 microwave digestion 방법과 혈액희석법의 검출한계 및 회수율을 비교 검토한 결과 혈액희석법이 검출한계 및 회수율이 우수하였으며, 표준시료(CRM)를 이용한 시험방법에 대한 검증에서 만족스런 결과를 나타내었음. 2.중학생 300명을 대상으로 혈액 중 중금속함량을 GF-AhS를 이용하여 측정한 결과 납과 아연에서 남학생이 여학생에 비해 유의적으로 높은 수치를 보였으며,납의 함량은 남학생 약 4 ug/dL, 여학생 약 3 u즈d트으_로 WHO의 권고치 20 uUdL, 미국질병관리센터의 어린이에 대한 권고치 10 ug/dL에 미달하는 수준이었음. 3. 카드윰은 남, 여 모두 평균 0.06 ug/dl으로 WHO의 일반인 권고치 0.5 ug/dL보다 훨씬 낮은 수치를 나타내었음. 4. 또한 아연의 경우 남학생 약 106 ug/dL, 여학생 약 93 ug/dL으로 혈청 정상치인 64-118 ug/dL에 해당하는 수치이었음 5. 구리는 남 $\cdot$ 여학생 모두 약 99 ufdL로 혈청 정상치인 80-121 ug/dL범위내로 나타났음. 6. 남$\cdot$녀 학생 중 빈혈집단과 정상인과의 중금속함량을 분석한 결과 여학생의 빈혈 집단에서 정상집단 보다 납 함량이 다소 높게 나타났음(P>0.05). 7. 혈액 중 납과 철분 간에 음의 상관관계가, 납과 아연간에는 양의 상관관계가 관찰되었음(P<0.001).

  • 제철용 고로구조물의 안전성 위협 요인으로는, 고로자중이나 철광석 낙하 둥과 같은 기계하중 외에도 구조물 내부 온도가 최대 $1700^{\circ}C$에 이르는 고온 환경을 들 수 있다. 이러한 고온의 작업 환경은 고로 구성부재들의 크립손상, 열피로 문제 등을 야기시키기 때문에 이들 고열에 의한 영향평가는 고로의 안전성 평가에 있어 필수요소로 거론되고 있다. 일반적으로 고로의 단면을 구성하고 있는 내화재, 냉각판, 철피 등의 냉각시스템을 거치면서 내부의 고온 환경은 고로 외피에 이르는 동안 온도강하가 이루어진다. 급격한 온도강하는 나타나지 않지만 장기간 고로 가동에 있어 상시하중으로 작용하는 이 열원에 의해 고로 각 구부위에는 열응력이 발생하고 이 열응력과 나머지 기계적 하중의 조합에 의해 크립이나 열피로 등과 같이 고로 구조물 안전성 위해요인들이 발생한다고 분석되어 진다. 따라서 본 연구에서는, 고로 안전성 평가를 위한 첫 번째 단계로서 범용유한요소해석 프로그램인 ANSYS를 이용한 열응력 해석을 수행하여 잠재적인 안전성 위해요인으로 알려진 열응력 발생 특성을 분석하고, 고로 건전설계 및 보수 유지 관리지침으로 활용할 수 있는 기반기술을 개발한다.

The Effect of Boronizing on the Magnetization Behaviour of Low Carbon Microalloyed Steels

  • The change of saturation magnetization in boronized low carbon microalloyed steels was investigated as a function of boronizing time. Specimens were boronized in an electrical resistance furnace for times ranging from 3 to 9 h at 1123 K. The metallurgical and magnetic properties of the specimens were investigated using optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). A boride layer with saw-tooth morphology consisting of FeB and $Fe_2B$ was observed on the surface, its thickness ranged from 63 ${\mu}m$ to 140 ${\mu}m$ depending on the boronizing time. XRD confirmed the presence of $Fe_2B$ and FeB on the surface. The saturation magnetization decreased with increasing boronizing time. This decrease was attributed to the increased thickness of the FeB and $Fe_2B$ phases. Cracks were observed at the FeB/$Fe_2B$ interfaces of the samples. The number of interfacial cracks increased with increasing boronizing time.

철강 공정의 일정계획을 위한 혼합정수계획 모델 (Mixed-Integer programming model for scheduling of steelmaking processes)

  • This paper presents a short-term scheduling algorithm for the operation of steelmaking processes. The scope of the problem covers refining of the hot iron transferred form a blast furnace, ladle treatment, continuous casting, hot-rolling, and coiling for the final products that should satisfy the given demand. The processing time at each unit depends on how much the batch amount is treated, and te dedicated intermediate storage with finite capacity between the units is considered. Resource constraints and initial amount of each state are incorporated into the presented scheduling model for the algorithm of on-line scheduling. We propose amixed integer linear programming (MILP) model with two objectives for the scheduling. The first is to maximize the total profit while atisfying the due date constraint for each product. And the second is to minimize the total processing time, makespan, while satisfying the demand for each product. Especially, we observe the effect of penalizing the intermediate storage and the inventory level of the final product on the scheduling results.

Properties of reduced and quenched converter slag

  • Converter slag has some compositional similarities to portland cement. But it has no hydration properties due to it's quite high concentrations of FeO(20-35%), MnO(4-6.5%). So it is needed to reduce the concentrations of iron and manganese of converter slag to use as cement additives by enhancing it's hydration properties. In this study, converter slag was modified it's composition by mixing of silica, alumina and quenched BF slag and reduced in induction furnace and quenched in running water. The hydraulic properties and structures of modified and quenched converter slag are significantly changed depend on the amount and kinds of additives. The addition of alumina up to 10% and BFQ slag up to 20% by weight on converter slag was effective to enhance the hydraulic properties of modified and quenched slag. The addition of reduced and quenched converter slag up to 20% by weight in replacement of portland cement in mixing of concrete mortar were shown higher compressive strength than 100% cement concrete mortar.

갈바어닐링온도변화가 합금화용융아연코팅의 합금상과 마찰특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Galvannealing Temperatures on Iron-Zn Intermetallic Compounds and Friction Characteristic of Galvannealed Coatings)

  • This paper is aimed to understand the effect of different galvannealing temperatures on the frictional properties and Fe-Zn intermetallic phases of the galvannealed (GA) coatings on steel sheets. Their galvannealing treatments were conducted at 465, 505, 515 and $540^{\circ}C$ for about 10s in the additional heating furnace of an industrial continuous hot-dip galvanizing line. The mechanical and the frictional properties of the coatings were estimated using nanoindentation, nanoscratch, micro vickers hardness tests and flat friction tests, which were performed at contact pressures of 4, 20 and 80MPa. Also, the correlation between the microstructure and the frictional properties of the GA coatings were investigated by SEM observation for the cross-section of the GA coating after and before flat friction tests. The results showed that the mechanical and the frictional properties of the coatings are strongly dependent on their phase distributions and microstructure. Especially, in low contact pressure of 4MPa the frictional properties of the coatings were dependent on the surface phases and morphology, while in high contact pressure of 80MPa it was influenced by their mechanical properties based on the dominant phase distributions.

  • An interlocking equipment of railway signalling systems is manufactured with electrical devices and electrical interlocking equipment has been substituted for existing interlock equipment(relay sequential logic type). But interlock conditions are still generated from rail diagram and used to make Interlock Table manually. In order to make EIS(Electrical Interlock System) operate, we should write interlock data which is made from interlock table. But, as the station is larger and more complicated, handwork may becomes a very tediou work and makes more mistakes. Therefore the development of CAD system for Interlocking System is very significant, if CAD can reduce the mistakes from handwork and help the configuring the interlocking system. In this paper, we first arrange some rules which can be used to extract route information automatically from rail diagram and interlocking rules. And then we propose "Search-And-Rollback" algorithm to extract route information and individual interlocking rules. The proposed algorithm is implemented and tested through the signal design process of the Hyundai-Steel private railway to carry melted pig iron from the blast furnace to the steel-making workshop. some cases. It shows that CAD for Interlocking system is very helpful in time saving aspect and system reliability.

함철 폐기물의 용융환원 공정에 관한 분석연구 (An Analysis of Simulation Model for Smelting Reduction Process of Waste Containing Iron Oxide)

  • The computer simulation model was established to verify the applicability of smelting reduction concept to treatment of industrial wastes which becomes issue on the enviromental and recycling view point. Computer simulation model provides as following results. The increase of post combustion ratio(PCR) and heat transfer efficiency of PC energy(HTE) is effective ways to save energy. But, in order to increase PCR, recovery efficiency of post combustion energy(HTE) have to be higher than 85% HTE considering refractory life and saving energy together. Coke is most useful fuel source because it shows lowest dependence of PCR and low hydrogen content. The quality of hot metal of current process would be expected to the similar level with that of blast furnace. The utilization of scrap and Al dross can be also possible to maximize the advantages of current process which is high temperature and chemical dilution with hot metal and slag. In case of scrap, energy consumption was slightly increases because of heating up energy of scrap. Consquently, current process concept provides the possibility of intergrating recycles of industrial wastes materials such as EAF slag, coke oven dust, life terminated acidic refractory, aluminium dross and scrap by smelting reduction process.

Prediction of compressive strength of GGBS based concrete using RVM

  • Ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) is a by product obtained from iron and steel industries, useful in the design and development of high quality cement paste/mortar and concrete. This paper investigates the applicability of relevance vector machine (RVM) based regression model to predict the compressive strength of various GGBS based concrete mixes. Compressive strength data for various GGBS based concrete mixes has been obtained by considering the effect of water binder ratio and steel fibres. RVM is a machine learning technique which employs Bayesian inference to obtain parsimonious solutions for regression and classification. The RVM is an extension of support vector machine which couples probabilistic classification and regression. RVM is established based on a Bayesian formulation of a linear model with an appropriate prior that results in a sparse representation. Compressive strength model has been developed by using MATLAB software for training and prediction. About 70% of the data has been used for development of RVM model and 30% of the data is used for validation. The predicted compressive strength for GGBS based concrete mixes is found to be in very good agreement with those of the corresponding experimental observations.
