  • The structure of the IoT can be divided into devices, gateways, and servers. First, the gateway collects data from the device, and the gateway sends data to the server through HTTP protocol, Websocket protocol, and MQTT protocol. The processing server then processes, analyzes, and transforms the data, and the database makes it easy to store and use this data. These IoT services are basically centralized structures with servers, so attacks on the entire platform are concentrated only on the central server, which makes hacking more successful than distributed structures. One way to solve this problem is to develop IoT that combines blockchain. Therefore, the proposed research suggests that the blockchain is a distributed structure, in which blocks containing small data are connected in a chain form, so that each node agrees and verifies the data with each other, thereby increasing reliability and lowering the probability of data forgery.

  • Recently, as aging progresses rapidly around the world, studies using light (UV-LED, etc.) as a method which is harmless to the human body and less burden on the treatment are continuously being carried out. Especially, in some fields, it is not used in a limited way but it is advantageous to be used in various medical fields such as dermatology, dentistry, otorhinolaryngology, etc. In many advanced countries, various studies using it have been carried out. However, Are far behind in developed countries. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a technology that can provide good quality services to human patients by effectively controlling light module that can be used for medical use by using IoT crawler-based middleware platform.

  • The Internet of Things is valuable as a means of solving social problems such as personal, public, and industrial. Recently, the application of IoT technology to the healthcare industry is increasing. It is important to ensure reliability and security in IoT-based healthcare services. Communication protocols, wireless transmit/receive techniques, and reliability-based message delivery are essential elements in IoT healthcare devices. The system was designed and implemented to measure body temperature and activity through body temperature and acceleration sensors and deliver them to the oneM2M-based Mobius platform.

  • In this paper, we present design and developing method for EMS(environment monitoring system) of micro data center. This developing EMS monitors operating environment of micro data center and analyze sensing data through IoT(Internet of things) sensors in real time. Firstly we present configuration method of IoT sensing package and design method EMS hardware platform. Secondly we design data collector software for data collection of IoT sensor with different protocol and develop monitoring software of EMS. The data collector software consists of sensor collector module and collector manager module. Also we design EMS software which has micro service architecture structural style and component based business logic.

  • This study focuses on the new teaching assistance robot platform and the cloud-based education service model to support the server. In the client area we would like to use the teacher assistant robot in elementary school classrooms to utilize the language education service platform. Emerging IoT technology will be adopted to provide a comfortable classroom environment and various media interfaces. Extensive precedent review and case study have been conducted to identify basic requirements of proposed service platform. Embedded system and technology for image recognition, speech recognition, autonomous movement, display, touch screen, IR sensor, GPS, and temperature-humidity sensor were extensively investigated to complete the service. Key findings of this paper are optimized service platform with cloud server system and possibilities of potential smart classroom with intelligent robot by adopting IoT and BIM technology.

  • Public key cryptography (PKC) is the basic building block for the cryptography applications such as encryption, key distribution, and digital signature scheme. Among many PKC, elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) is the most widely used in IT systems. Recently, very efficient Montgomery-Twisted-Edward (MoTE)-ECC was suggested, which supports low complexity for the finite field arithmetic, group operation, and scalar multiplication. However, we cannot directly adopt the MoTE-ECC to new PKC systems since the cryptography is not fully evaluated in terms of performance on the Internet of Things (IoT) platforms, which only supports very limited computation power, energy, and storage. In this paper, we fully evaluate the MoTE-ECC implementations on the representative IoT devices (16-bit MSP processors). The implementation is highly optimized for the target platform and compared in three different factors (ROM, RAM, and execution time). The work provides good reference results for a gradual transition from legacy ECC to MoTE-ECC on emerging IoT platforms.

  • In this paper, we propose a electrical safety management architecture based on IoT (Internet of things) platform, especially IoTivity which is open source platform organized by OCF. With the advent of various ICT technologies, researches on convergence between power facilities and ICT technology are actively under way. The application of ICT technology to high voltage electrical equipment has been studied in terms of improving power efficiency and measuring accurate usage in real time. We focused on safety data and described the components of the electrical safety architecture, the requirement of reference interface, and available services. We defined the data profile for the electrical facilities subject to electrical safety management and examined feasibility through testing.

  • Recently, through the emergence and convergence of Internet services, the unified Internet of thing(IoT) service platform have been researched. Currently, the IoT service is constructed as an independent system according to the purpose of the service provider, so information exchange and module reuse are impossible among similar services. In this paper, we propose a operation based service classification algorithm for various services in order to provide an environment of unfied Internet platform. In implementation, we classify and cluster more than 100 commercial IoT services. Based on this, we evaluated the performance of the proposed algorithm compared with the K-means algorithm. In order to prevent a single clustering due to the lack of sample groups, we re-cluster them using K-means algorithm. In future study, we will expand existing service sample groups and use the currently implemented classification system on Apache Spark for faster and more massive data processing.
