저역통과 LC필터를 가진 전브리지형 인버터로 구동되는 3상유동전동기의 속도제어 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Speed Control System of a 3 phase Induction Motor driven by the Full Bridge Inverter with a Low Pass LC Filter)

  • The variable frequency and variable voltage AC source made by a conventional inverter which is composed of power semi-conductors includes much noises in sine wave due to high frequency switching of DC source. In this paper the 3rd low pass LC filter for a variable speed 3 phase induction motor driven by a full bridge inverter is introduced to solve the EMI problem by serious noise current. The utility of a modified 3rd order Butterworth LC filter is confirmed through FFT analysis of sine waves and noiseless ACsource can be obtained by the proposed LC filter. The speed of a 3 phase induction motor driven by a full bridge inverter with a LC filter is satisfactorily controlled by a digital PID controller under the condition of stepwise load and setpoint changes.

  • The fundamental digital control of utility-connected PV inverter are presented with detailed analysis and simulation and experimental results. PLL controller using virtual two phase detector, current controller of DC-DC converter, dc link voltage controller and inverter current controller are discussed. The novel PLL controller using virtual two phase detector can detect the information of utility voltage instantaneously and is not sensitive to the noise. Current controller of DC-DC converter, dc link voltage controller and inverter current controller are the conventional methods. We have constructed utility-Connected PV Inverter and applied to those controllers. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate an excellent performance in the single-phase grid-connected operation.

  • The HVAC(Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) system is only controlled by turn on/turn off operations against to AC 380V input. Therefore, the efficiency of the system is reduced and noise occurs. Also, the blower is shut down at the AC power failure. In this paper, the inverter system with UPS function for the A/C(Air Conditioning) blower is proposed. Proposed inverter system which is powered from the AC and DC voltage can control speed, operation mode, and soft-start time using CAN communication. In case of the CAN communication failure, RS-232 communication could be used to control the hardware directly by the engineer that can solve existing problems. To verify the validity of proposed inverter system, simulations and experiments are carried out.

  • In power electronics applications which switching frequency is below audible frequency, the acoustic noise and vibration design of magnetics are as important as the efficiency. In the case of the powder core, which is widely used in grid-connected inverters, many researches have been progressed in terms of efficiency. However, there are only few research have been progressed related with acoustic noise and vibrations. In this paper, the Sendust(Fe-Si-Al) powder core material which has low magnetostriction and low core loss is analyzed in terms of acoustic noise and vibration induced by Maxwell force and magnetostriction. Three building structures such as, rectangular, toroidal, and oval shape are designed for 4kW grid-connected inverter, because magnetic properties and the audible noises of the inductor are varied by magnetic core building structures. The effects of the Maxwell force and magnetostriction behaviors varied with core shapes are analyzed by finite element method and experiments. In addition, experiment results of the inductor efficiency are presented according to core building structures.

무인차량용 단거리 라이다 시스템을 위한 멀티채널 트랜스임피던스 증폭기 어레이 (Multi-channel Transimpedance Amplifier Arrays in Short-Range LADAR Systems for Unmanned Vehicles)

  • 본 논문에서는 0.18um CMOS(1P6M) 공정을 이용하여 무인차량용 단거리 라이다 시스템을 위한 멀티채널 트랜스임피던스 증폭기(TIA) 어레이 회로를 구현하였다. 트랜스임피던스 증폭기 어레이 구조는 전압모드 $4{\times}4$ 채널 Inverter TIA 어레이와 전류모드 $4{\times}4$ 채널 Common-Gate(CG) TIA 어레이 두 가지를 설계했으며, 전체적으로 $4{\times}8$의 32-채널을 갖도록 설계하였다. 먼저, Inverter TIA는 피드백 저항을 가진 Inverter 입력구조와 CML 출력버퍼단으로 구성되어 있으며, 저잡음 및 저전력 특성뿐 아니라, virtual ground를 갖도록 설계함으로써 DC 전류조절이 가능하여 이득과 출력 임피던스 컨트롤이 가능하도록 하였다. 또한, CG-TIA는 on-chip bandgap reference로부터 bias 전압을 이용하고, 소스팔로워 출력버퍼를 사용하여 고주파수 이득을 높였으며, 기본적인 구조 상 CG-TIA는 채널당 칩 면적이 Inverter TIA에 비해 1.26배 작게 설계되었다. 포스트 레이아웃 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안한 Inverter TIA 어레이는 각 채널당 57.5-dB${\Omega}$ 트랜스임피던스 이득, 340-MHz 대역폭, 3.7-pA/sqrt(Hz) 평균 잡음전류 스펙트럼 밀도, 및 2.84-mW (16채널 45.4-mW) 전력소모를 가졌다. CG-TIA 어레이는 채널당 54.5-dB${\Omega}$ 트랜스임피던스 이득, 360-MHz 대역폭, 9.17-pA/sqrt(Hz) 평균 잡음전류 스펙트럼 밀도, 4.24-mW (16채널 67.8-mW) 전력소모를 가졌다. 단, 펄스 시뮬레이션 결과, CG-TIA 어레이가 200-500-Mb/s 동작속도에서 훨씬 깨끗하게 구분 가능한 출력펄스를 보였다.

  • In variable speed driving system of three phase induction motor controlled by an inverter, because of the switching of semiconductor devices in inverter, an appreciable amount of harmonic components of voltage waveform can cause the motor to generate losses, torque ripple, acoustic noise and oscillation of semiconductor devices. In this paper a new PAM type PWM inverter using IGBT is described. The output waveforms in the proposed PAM type PWM inverter are investigated both theoretiically and experimentally. The line-voltage waveform is composed of fundamental component and the sidebands of carrier frequency. The lower order harmonics are not included in the output wave form. As each inverter arm does not operate during two-thirds period, the heats, generated in the devices are reduced. That is, the size of the inverter system can he minimized because of the reduction in the heat dissipating equipment.

  • The next generation domestic high speed railway system is a power distributed type and uses vector control method for motor speed control. Nowadays, inverter driven induction motor system is widely used. However, recently PMSM drives are deeply considered as a alternative candidate instead of an induction motor driven system due to their advantages in efficiency, noise reduction and maintenance. The next-generation high-speed train is composed of 2 converter units, 4 inverter units, and 4 Traction Motor units. Each motor is connected to the inverter directly. In this paper, the effects of IPMSM parameter variation to the system operation characteristics of the multi inverter driven high speed train system are investigated. The parallel connected inverter input-output characteristics are analyzed to the parameter mismatches of the IPMSM in 1C1M control using Matlab/Simulink, then the reliability of the simulation results are verified through experimental results.

  • The RPWM (Random· Pulse Width Modulation) is a switching technique to spread the voltage and current harmonics over a wide frequency area. By using randomly changing switching frequency of the inverter, the power spectrum of the electromagnetic acoustic noise can be spread to the wide-band area. The wide­band noise is much more comfortable and less annoying than the narrow-band one. So, the RPWM has been attracting interest as an excellent method for the reduction of acoustic noise on the inverter drive system. In this paper a new RPPWM (Random Position Space Vector PWM) is proposed and implemented. Each of three phase pulses is located randomly in each switching interval. Along with the randomization of PWM pulses, the space vector modulation is also executed in the C167 micro-controller. The experimental results show that the voltage and current harmonics are spread to a wide band area and that the audible switching noise is reduced by the proposed RPPWM method.

  • 본 논문에서는 Ka-band 위성 중계기용 국부 발진기에 사용하게 될 전압제어 발진기의 EM(Engineering Model)을 비선형 방법으로 설계하였다. 전압제어 발진기의 위상잡음을 개선하기 위하여 공진기로 사용되는 유전체 공진기와 결합하는 마이크로스트립 라인을 high impedance inverter로 구현함으로써 공진회로의 quality factor를 우수하게 유지하여 능동소자에 전달되도록 하였다. 개발된 전압제어 발진기는 0~12 V의 제어전압으로 9.7965~9.8032 GHz의 튜닝범위를 가지며 공급전력은 8V, 17mA를 필요로 한다. 제작된 전압제어 발진기의 위상잡음은 -96.51 dBc/Hz ⓐ10 KHz와 -116.5 dBc/Hz ⓐ100 KHz의 특성을 나타내며 출력전력은 7.33 dBm을 얻었다.

저전력 오디오 응용을 위한 Class-C 인버터 사용 단일 비트 3차 피드포워드 델타 시그마 모듈레이터 (A Single-Bit 3rd-Order Feedforward Delta Sigma Modulator Using Class-C Inverters for Low Power Audio Applications)

  • 본 논문에서는 오디오 애플리케이션을 위한 단일 비트 3차 피드포워드 델타 시그마 변조기를 제안한다. 제안된 변조기는 저전압 및 저전력 애플리케이션을 위한 클래스-C 인버터를 기반으로 한다. 고정밀 요구 사항을 위해 레귤레이티드 캐스코드 구조의 클래스-C 인버터는 DC 이득을 증가시키고 저전압 서브쓰레스홀드 증폭기 역할을 한다. 제안된 클래스-C 인버터 기반 변조기는 180nm CMOS 공정으로 설계 및 시뮬레이션되었다. 성능 손실이 없으면서 낮은 공급 전압 호환성을 가지도록 제안된 클래스-C 인버터 기반 스위치드 커패시터 변조기는 높은 전력 효율을 달성하였다. 본 설계는 20kHz의 신호 대역폭 및 4MHz의 샘플링 주파수에서 동작시켜 93.9dB의 SNDR, 108dB의 SNR, 102dB의 SFDR 및 102dB의 DR를 달성하면서 0.8V 전원 전압에서 280μW의 전력 소비만 사용한다.
