  • Design criteria far a block code which guarantees minimized PAPR of the OFDM signals are proposed in this paper. Encoding procedure of the minimum PAPR codes (MPC) is composed of searching a seed codeword, circular shifting the register elements, and determining codeword inversion. It is shown that the PEP is invariant to the circular shift of register elements and codeword inversion. Based on such properties, systematic encoding rule for MPC is proposed. In addition proposed encoding rule can reduced greatly the size of look up table for MPC.

  • In this letter, a block code that minimizes the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals is proposed. It is shown that peak envelope power is invariant to cyclic shift and codeword inversion. The systematic encoding rule for the proposed code is composed of searching for a seed codeword, shifting the register elements, and determining codeword inversion. This eliminates the look-up table for one-to-one correspondence between the source and the coded data. Computer simulation confirms that OFDM systems with the proposed code always have the minimum PAPR.

  • Inversion therapy has been used to relieve backpain, decrease pressure on the discs between vertebrae and stretch musdes as early as 400 BC. Gravity Guidance Inversion Table was introduced in 1960's and has been commercialized mostly for relieving backpain. in United States. But this machine needs to adjusted and possible sudden movement can cause severe injury to the users. In the 1990's, motor assisted inversion cram was introduced in Germany. But this inversion cram is too heavy and inconvenient to be used at home. In these days, the inversion machine become popular equipment in fitness clubs and health care places for relieving backpain as well as stretching muscles. And there is a growing need for home use version of motorized inversion machine. In this study, the motorized inversion machine was developed to be used for stretching exercise at home. The design became compact, simple and foldable as the results of adapting the wabble mechanism. And the machines are optimally designed by analyzing the torques applied to the machine by diverse physical size of users.

  • This paper develops algorithms of element generation, addition, multiplication and inversion based on GF($2^m$). Since these algorithms are implemented by general purpose computer, these are more efficient than the conventional algorithms(Table Lookup, Euclid's Algorithm) in each operation. It is also implied that they can be applied to not only the normally defined elements but the arbitrarily defined ones for constructing multi-valued logic function.

  • A new RS(Reed Solomon) Decoder design method, using Galois Subfield GF($2^4$) Multiplier, is described. The Decoder is designed using Normalized error position stored ROM. Here New Inverse Calculator in GF($2^8$) is designed, which is simpler and faster than the classical GF($2^8$) direct inverse calculator, using the Galois Subfield GF($2^4$) Arithmatic operator.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient finite field computation method for Rainbow algorithm, which is the only multivariate quadratic-equation based digital signature among the current US NIST PQC standardization Final List algorithms. Recently, Chou et al. proposed a new efficient implementation method for Rainbow on the Cortex-M4 environment. This paper proposes a new multiplication method over the finite field that can reduce the number of XOR operations by more than 13.7% compared to the Chou et al. method. In addition, a multiplicative inversion over that can be performed by a 4x4 matrix inverse instead of the table lookup method is presented. In addition, the performance is measured by porting the software to which the new method was applied onto RaspberryPI 3B+.

  • In this paper, we present a DSP-based high dynamic performance torque control scheme of variable reluctance motors(VRM's) for DD(Direct Drive) robots via function inversion technique. The VRM with our controller behaves like DC motors, and hence developed torque tracks given torque command accurately with no torque ripples. Furthermore, our torque control algorithm ensures the production of maximum constant torque under maximum current limitation, minimizes power loss in each phase resistance, and takes magnetic saturation effect into account. Also, since our control algorithm is represented in the form of look-up table, it can be easily implemented with simple digital circuits and this tabular design method is computationally more accurate and simpler compared to the prior methods.

  • In this paper, we propose efficient masking methods for ARIA and AES. In general, a masked S-box (MS) block can be constructed in different ways depending on the implementation platform, such as hardware and software. However, the other components of ARIA and AES have less impact on the implementation cost. We first propose an efficient masking structure by minimizing the number of mask corrections under the assumption that we have an MS block. Second, to make a secure and efficient MS block for ARIA and AES, we propose novel methods to solve the table size problem for the MS block in a software implementation and to reduce the cost of a masked inversion which is the main part of the MS block in the hardware implementation.

  • Matrix multiplication is an important problem in linear algebra. its main significance for combinatorial algorithms is its equivalence to a variety of other problems, such as transitive closure and reduction, solving linear systems, and matrix inversion. Thus the development of high-performance matrix multiplication implies faster algorithms for all of these problems. In this paper. we present a quantitative comparison of the theoretical and empirical performance of key matrix multiplication algorithms and use our analysis to develop a faster algorithm. We propose a Hybrid approach on Winograd's and Strassen's algorithms that improves the performance and discuss the performance of the hybrid Winograd-Strassen algorithm. Since Strassen's algorithm is based on a $2{\times}2$ matrix multiplication it makes the implementation very slow for larger matrix because of its recursive nature. Though we cannot get the theoretical threshold value of Strassen's algorithm, so we determine the threshold to optimize the use of Strassen's algorithm in nodes through various experiments and provided a summary shown in a table and graphs.
