  • With the development of game technology, the realistic game graphics, interface technology, and various content services with immersion are being required in the content area. NUI has been developed through CLI and GUI. Unlike the conventional methods, it is an interface that could be the intuitive and realistic interface for human as a natural action realized. we propose a boxing simulation game using leap motion of it. Providing a realistic 3D experimental environment through VR headsets game, we also propose a method that can be calculated the scores if the user-controlled interface (fist) could be to punch the target (sandbag) of the internal in accordance with changes of the angle of target impact with the physical characteristics.

  • We propose an intelligent interface algorithm using hand gesture recognition information based on artificial intelligence. This method is functionally an interface that recognizes various motions quickly and intelligently by using MediaPipe and artificial intelligence techniques such as KNN, LSTM, and CNN to track and recognize user hand gestures. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, it is applied to a self-made 2D top-view racing game and robot control. As a result of applying the algorithm, it was possible to control various movements of the virtual object in the game in detail and robustly. And the result of applying the algorithm to the robot control in the real world, it was possible to control movement, stop, left turn, and right turn. In addition, by controlling the main character of the game and the robot in the real world at the same time, the optimized motion was implemented as an intelligent interface for controlling the coexistence space of virtual and real world. The proposed algorithm enables sophisticated control according to natural and intuitive characteristics using the body and fine movement recognition of fingers, and has the advantage of being skilled in a short period of time, so it can be used as basic data for developing intelligent user interfaces.

  • The aim of this study is to find out the user's needs of a 3D hand gesture interface in the smart home environment. To find out the users' needs, we investigated which object the users want to use with a 3D hand gesture interface and why they want to use a 3D hand gesture interface. 3D hand gesture interfaces are studied to be applied to various devices in the smart environment. 3D hand gesture interfaces enable the users to control the smart environment with natural and intuitive hand gestures. With these advantages, finding out the user's needs of a 3D hand gesture interface would improve the user experience of a product. This study was conducted using a diary method to find out the user's needs with 20 participants. They wrote the needs of a 3D hand gesture interface during one week filling in the forms of a diary. The form of the diary is comprised of who, when, where, what and how to use a 3D hand gesture interface with each consisting of a usefulness score. A total of 322 data (209 normal data and 113 error data) were collected from users. There were some common objects which the users wanted to control with a 3D hand gesture interface and reasons why they want to use a 3D hand gesture interface. Among them, the users wanted to use a 3D hand gesture interface mostly to control the light, and to use a 3D hand gesture interface mostly to overcome hand restrictions. The results of this study would help develop effective and efficient studies of a 3D hand gesture interface giving valuable insights for the researchers and designers. In addition, this could be used for creating guidelines for 3D hand gesture interfaces.

  • The in put system using the touch screen directly makes the input signals by the contact on the screen without the assistance of peripherals such as a pen or hands. These kinds of input systems using the flexible hands is maximizing suppleness and intuition of the input rather than those systems using a keyboard or a mouse which are moving a cursor or typing a word. However, using hands for an input may give rise to a mistake in control. And there are few interfaces utilizing the touch screen. Incorrectness and insufficiency of the interface are the weak point of the touch screen systems. In this paper, we propose the dial menu user interface for the mobile devices using touch screen for an efficient input. In this method, it consists of 2 states(Inactive states, Active states) and 4 actions(Rotation, Zoom in, and Zoom out, and Click). The intuitive control utilizing the suggested method overcomes the incorrect pointing, weak point of the touch screen system, and boosts the searching menu by utilizing the drag function of the touch screen.

  • In this paper, we proposed a tangible RealBook based on the interface of TouchFace-V which is able to recognize multi-touch and hand gesture. The TouchFace-V is applied projection technology on a flat surface such as table, without constraint of space. The system's configuration is addressed installation, calibration, and portability issues that are most existing front-projected vision-based tabletop display. It can provide hand touch and gesture applying computer vision by adopting tracking technology without sensor and traditional input device. The RealBook deals with the combination of each advantage of analog sensibility on texts and multimedia effects of e-book. Also, it provides digitally created stories that would differ in experiences and environments with interacting users' choices on the interface of the book. We proposed e-book that is new concept of electronic book; named RealBook, different from existing and TouchFace-V interface, which can provide more direct viewing, natural and intuitive interactions with hand touch and gesture.

  • In this paper, we propose the framework of a visual language named VIOLA(VIsual Object-oriented Language for Multimedia Applications), which is developed for web authoring. VIOLA supports the user to construct HTML documents and CGI programs even if he/she doesn't know exact HTML tags and CGI programming. VIOLA, a user interface building part and a programming logic building part are combined by the data-flow model. the user interface building part provides direct manipulation and a WSIKWYG interface, and the program logic building part provides more intuitive interface by using predefined classes and the data-flow model. thus, even a novice user can construct sophisticated applications by simply moving or clicking the mouse. several classes which generate CGI codes are predefined, and they are represented with highly abstracted visual components, By reusing predefined classes, CGI codes are automatically generated. In VIOLA, all major steps in builidng generated wit HTML documents and Java CGI programs.

  • Multi-touch technology with the development of IT technology, various forms of recognition technology is positioned as the technology is one. A computer and a human action virtualization technology needed to design a natural interface while haneundedo influence. Human-computer interaction possible through intuitive to many users being able to reach without having to learn the sensory capabilities, will be useful if you could use. This paper presents the design of interfaces to the smart table environment to a conventional multi-touch touch-based, real so that you can use your finger to all the purposes. Growing day by day through the ubiquitous electronic blackboard, desk, furniture and electronics industry is actively being made by IT to incorporate multi-touch based interface because the design is expected to be important. Not far in the future, new ways of learning environment by combining modernization and smart table for meeting various IoT not only affect the environment looks anticipating.

  • A script language, which represents and controls avatar behaviors in a natural language style, is especially remarkable, because it can provide a fast and easy way to develop an animation scenario script. However, the studies that consider avatar behavior interactions with various virtual objects and intuitive interface techniques to design scenario script have been lack. Therefore, we proposed a context-based avatar-object behavior model and layered script language. The model defines context-based elements to solve ambiguity problems that occur in abstract behavior interface and it provides user interface to control avatar in the object-based approach. Also, the proposed avatar behavior script language consisted of a layered structure that represents domain user interface, motion sequence, and implement environment information at each level. Using the proposed methods, the user can conveniently and quickly design an avatar-object behavior scenario script.

  • We have developed a biologist-friendly, Java GUI application (GoBean) for GO term enrichment analysis. It was designed to be a comprehensive and flexible GUI tool for GO term enrichment analysis, combining the merits of other programs and incorporating extensive graphic exploration of enrichment results. An intuitive user interface with multiple panels allows for extensive visual scrutiny of analysis results. The program includes many essential and useful features, such as enrichment analysis algorithms, multiple test correction methods, and versatile filtering of enriched GO terms for more focused analyses. A unique graphic interface reflecting the GO tree structure was devised to facilitate comparisons of multiple GO analysis results, which can provide valuable insights for biological interpretation. Additional features to enhance user convenience include built in ID conversion, evidence code-based gene-GO association filtering, set operations of gene lists and enriched GO terms, and user -provided data files. It is available at http://neon.gachon.ac.kr/GoBean/.
