The purpose of this study was to discover differences between mathematically gifted students (MGS) and non-gifted students (NGS) when making probability judgments. For this purpose, the following research questions were selected: 1. How do MGS differ from NGS when making probability judgments(answer correctness, answer confidence)? 2. When tackling probability problems, what effect do differences in probability judgment factors have? To solve these research questions, this study employed a survey and interview type investigation. A probability test program was developed to investigate the first research question, and the second research question was addressed by interviews regarding the Program. Analysis of collected data revealed the following results. First, both MGS and NGS justified their answers using six probability judgment factors: mathematical knowledge, use of logical reasoning, experience, phenomenon of chance, intuition, and problem understanding ability. Second, MGS produced more correct answers than NGS, and MGS also had higher confidence that answers were right. Third, in case of MGS, mathematical knowledge and logical reasoning usage were the main factors of probability judgment, but the main factors for NGS were use of logical reasoning, phenomenon of chance and intuition. From findings the following conclusions were obtained. First, MGS employ different factors from NGS when making probability judgments. This suggests that MGS may be more intellectual than NGS, because MGS could easily adopt probability subject matter, something not learnt until later in school, into their mathematical schemata. Second, probability learning could be taught earlier than the current elementary curriculum requires. Lastly, NGS need reassurance from educators that they can understand and accumulate mathematical reasoning.
Objectives : The awareness of health care need increasing attention from the public along with changing professional human-resources activity. As there are increasing social demand for the roles and professionalism of dental hygienists, the purpose of this study was to examine the job performance, creativity and organizational climate of dental hygienists by their own self-diagnostic evaluation in an attempt to help enhance their work ability. Methods : According to the data released as August 2008 by the Dental Association and public health centers in Gwangju, 735 dental hygienists worked at 425 dental clinics. The subjects in this study were 156 dental hygienists at 85 dental clinics who were selected by proportionate sampling method from among the dental hygienists. After an interview survey was conducted in person, the answer sheets from 132 respondents were analyzed except 24 incomplete ones. The questionnaire used in this study consisted of 49 items. A five-point Likert scale was used and SPSS 12.0 program was analyzed the data. Results : 1. As a result of checking the types of works, treatment cooperation(54%), and oral health education often(45%), They weren't responsible for preventive treatment(42%). 2. When they made a self-diagnostic evaluation of creativity and organizational climate, they put the highest value on their autonomy(2.21), followed by positive attitude(2.10). Out of seven organizational climate, challenging spirits(2.81) ranked highest, followed by reliability(2.66). 3. Major management eopmubyeol individual creativity compared with three business relationships and a positive attitude in the case of the high group received oral health education and care management services in a group doing the most was General office work and office assistance work in the medical assistance group that was doing business primarily. 4. In the relationship between self-assesment score and three performance duties, Positive difference was noted in the group with positive attitude and elevated autonomy in terms of performing oral health education. Conclusions : As a result, individual creativity and organization of the atmosphere, each detail, through analysis of the self-assessment model, developed guide on the investigation by doing a dental hygienist, a unique business promotion and Enlargement of the study suggested the need to be considered is.
This study is fulfilled from September 1st to December 31st in 1999 and the object of investigation are all 289 students belong to 5 universities managing amateur Ssirum team in Kyungnam, Kyungpook. Pusan and Seoul(158 people) and 6 high schools(131 people). And these results were derived from percentage and cross analysis of Person Chi-square test ann interview and 47 questioned paper based on this purpose of study. 1. There were no significant differences between high school students and university students in the comprehension of physical therapy and injury occurrence by technique. 2. According to the relation between satisfaction of life as a player and injured part, the injury of soft tissue ranked high among satisfied and unsatisfied people. and the satisfaction or unsatisfaction of practicing place also derived same result. 3. $46.8\%$ of Ssirum players got the injury of soft tissue during practice. the articular injury and bone injury in regular sequence. But there were no relations between the time of injury and the sort of injury. 4. There were no statistical differences ortho sort of injury by technique.(p=0.399). 5. According to the part of injury by using techniques, the injury of soft tissue ranked high$(50.0\%)$, articular injury ranked high$(42.6\%)$ in the leg technique, bone injury ranked high in the leg technique, and nerve injury ranked high in hand technique. 6. The injury of soft tissue ranked high during the practice$(46.8\%)$, practice on the purpose of a match$(50.0\%)$ and match$(41.7\%)$ but there were no relations between the time of injury and son of injury. 7. The part of injury by technique ranked high in the soft tissue$(50.0\%)$, articular injury by leg technique$(42.6\%)$, bone injury in leg and waist technique and nerve injury in hand technique high. 8. The time of injury ranked high during the practice$(65.7\%)$, and $66.1\%$ of injury occurred in the afternoon. 9. During the practice, the cold weather ie related on the rate of injury because $67\%$ of injury occurred in winter, but there are no statistical significance. 10. There were no relations between the satisfaction of place far practice and time of injury. 11. The particular part of injury occurred very much during the match between defense and offense. 12. In the relation between the degree of understanding of physical therapy and the experience of physical therapy, the people who know physical therapy had much experiences of physical therapy(p=.000) And independent of the physical therapy experiences, the effectiveness of physical therapy therapy to players was $48.8\%$, no idea was 42.65 and no effectiveness was $8.7\%$(p=.000). 13. $59.6\%$ of the people admitting the physical therapy effectiveness answered they would follow the order of the doctor and $56.6\%$ of the people not admitting the physical therapy effectiveness answered no.
The purpose of this study is to survey the community support program of Green Belt from 2001 to 2011 and propose the improvement of the institution. For research method, the projects were analyzed by year, area, and category using statistical data. The improvement of the institution was drawn through the opinion survey of the interest group such as residents and public servants. For 10 years, 2007 community support projects were carried out and the total amount of government expenditure was 583.9 billion won. Among the support items, life convenience projects comprise 96.7%. For area, metropolitan area comprise 32.5%. There is a bias in items and areas. According to the survey of the residents and public servants, the satisfaction for the community support program is increasing. But it is necessary to enlarge the direct life cost support, activate community involvement and develop new project type. Proposed new projects are such as making characteristic village for income creation, planning for the landscape preservation using historic and traditional resources, making leisure space for nearby residents, and projects for the aged people. And it is proposed to give incentive to the characteristic village projects through competition.

This paper describes implementation of IPv6-IPv4 transition toolbox named as 6TALK(IPv6 TrAansLator of Krv6) and some scenarios using 6TALK which enables IPv6 island to connect other IPv6 island or IPv4 island seamlessly. 6TALK implements some transition mechanisms suggested in NGTrans Working Group of IETF. Those mechanisms are composed of basic mechanism, tunneling, and applied mechanism such as DSTM. 6TALK provides functions which enable IPv6 network at the edge of existing network to communicate with IPv4 network by using these transition mechanisms. As major transition mechanisms in 6TALK we adopt NAT-PT/SIIT and DSTM/DSTM options and as implementation environment we use Linux Kernel 2.4.18 and Netfilter framework. Software modules implemented in Linux kernel was ported to hardware box using Motorola MPC 8260 processor. The transition mechanisms used in 6TALK are the ones predicted to be used in initial transition step to IPv6.
This research is to investigate phatic communication by puting the purpose in maintaining and strengthening social relationship among people in groups in Korean residential community space. Phatic communication is the activity for friendship, expressing and sharing the tastes, expectations, and common features of residents by inducing the participation of residents in all sorts of events, meetings, and activities in residential space. Through this pathic activity, the range of communication age, the time of communication, the selection of location, and the topic of communication discourse are examined. The investigation methods of this research were taken two ways: First, it carried out the observation of participation and in-depth interview by the participation of researcher in a way of life as a member. In order to prove more objectively, it enhances the reliability of data by adding the questionnaire survey through the convenience sampling of 150 residents of three communities. Moreover, $x^2$; chi-square test was conducted in order to verify the difference in heterogeneous groups. Accordingly, this research will bring about the great development in cultural studies by exploring a way of Korean life, based on the communication of Korea community in residential life space, which can unify the community through sharing the meaning, interacting and delivering the message.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the STS (science-technology-society) contents in chemistry chapters of middle school science textbooks standardized by 7th national curriculum, and to investigate chemistry teachers' perception of STS education. This study was based on 8 essential elements in STS education suggested by Yager and 9 activities in SATIS (science and technology in society). The questionnaire and interview were used to investigate chemistry teachers' perception. As a result of this study, the average value of the STS contents in chemistry chapters of 7 kinds of middle school science textbooks was 22.4%, and the STS contents were preponderated to essential elements of science application and local and community relevance. And STS contents showed that science 2 textbooks were the most of all and in order of science 1 textbooks and science 3 textbooks. As a result of analysis by activities in SATIS, most activities were practice activity, problem-solving and decision making, and structured discussion. Chemistry teachers' perceptions of STS education were following. There were many responses that STS education was necessary for educational efficiency. On the other hand STS education was unnecessary because there were few effective teaching-learning method related with STS education. From these results, middle school science textbooks have to be complemented because 2 essential elements of the STS contents were preponderated in the science textbooks. And the teaching-learning method connected with STS education will have to be developed for the efficiency of STS education.

Purpose: Rollover motor vehicle crashes have a higher injury severity and fatality than other motor vehicle crash types. From a left-quarter turn rollover accident of 25-passenger bus, we intend to assess the injury of the occupant and the injury severities according to the occupants' position. Methods: We carried out the 3 steps investigation of occupants' interview, visiting the repair shop and using the police report. We analyzed injuries sustained by occupants, and compared injury severities considering column, row in occupant's position and passenger interaction Results: The rollover involved 14 passengers in the bus who were all old women except a man driver. The most common injury was in the upper extremity, with six occurrences being a left clavicle fracture. Major injuries including hemothorax and pneumothorax were diagnosed at left side of the occupant. In the comparison of injury severity among driver's column (left side), mid column and passengercolumn, ISS of passenger column was the highest ($9.9{\pm}7.4$, $8.8{\pm}5.5$, and $10.3{\pm}4.0$, respectively, p>0.05). The injury severity of multiple occupants by row was higher than that of single occupant (10.8 vs. 3, p<0.05). Conclusion: An occupant must fasten their seat belt to prevent an injury by passenger interaction in the left-quarter turn rollover accident of a bus.

This study aims to provide basic information about the policy and system improvements relevant to single elderly men, through an investigation concerning the use and needs of activity spaces near their housing environments. Eighteen single elderly men over 60-years-old living in Gunsan city of Jeonbuk province in Korea participated in in-depth interview, and the data were qualitatively analyzed. The results of the study are as follows: The social networks of the participants were focused on friends or colleagues, while mutual exchanges with their children were intermittently undertaken. Natural networks of the elderly were formed mainly in third places, such as parks, restaurants, or community facilities, and about a half of the elderly participants had no spatial needs, and the rest required spaces for meal services, the elderly living community, jobs, leisure/hobby activities, or facility improvements. The elements influencing use of activity spaces were access from the residence, health, social networks, and economic conditions. The results suggest the following: Exercise or leisure facilities supporting elderly mobility should be set up close to their residential environments. Senior facilities centered on systematic supports and shuttle buses circulating around the places that the elderly visit frequently should be considered. On the other hand, regular maintenance and education on residents' proper use of the facilities, and sufficient information and fee discounts for the general programs are needed so that the elderly could interact with the younger generation. From a public perspective, a rational system and policy based on understanding single elderly men's needs should be prepared for provision and management of the activity space.

Despite the continuing emphasis on the importance of scientific inquiry, research studies have commented that authentic scientific inquiry is not implemented in school science classroom due to a lack of understanding of scientific inquiry by the teacher. The purpose of this study is to investigate understanding of scientific inquiry developed by beginning teachers through open-ended questionnaire and semi-structured interview. They voluntarily set up the goal of inquiry-based classes, planned inquiry-based classes, shared and reflected their teaching experience in professional learning community for more than a year. It appeared that participant teachers understood scientific inquiry as 'what scientists do', 'process how students do science' and 'science teaching methods.' All teacher participants described scientific inquiry as 'what scientists do', and understood 'the process of doing scientific investigation to solve problems related to natural phenomenon' and 'the process of constructing scientific knowledge using scientific practice.' Two participant teachers seemed to understand scientific inquiry as a 'teaching method' based on the understanding of the process how scientists or students do science. Participant teachers had a limited understanding of scientific inquiry that it is the same as laboratory works or hands-on activities prior to engaging the professional learning community, but they developed an understanding of scientific inquiry that there are various ways to conduct scientific inquiry after engaging in professional learning community.
