The purpose of this study is to identify how tales are accepted and embodied as a new work in dance as performing arts, which are getting attention for its rapid growth in the area of cultural industries. Major performances of recently created and performed ancient tales including Baridaegi, Chun-Hyang story, Yeonohrangseohnye are analyzed here. With acceptance of tales into dance, vitality of creation by the eternal word of mouth, rich information contained in each tale and the variety of interpretation showed the possibility of a new interpretation based on the existing perspectives. There are three kinds of acceptances: diversification of narrative techniques of the subject, adoption of the issue of moral values as a topic, and acceptance of tradition and national consciousness. To satisfy the fundamental concern about the universe and human, and to create both worldwide and Korean dance contents, the images of tales are being reinterpreted into a new dimension beyond the boundary of time.
The purpose of this study is to verify the applicability of concept mapping in the process of planning of network outcomes in social welfare. Planning and evaluation of network outcomes involve many stakeholders. Recognizing the value and range of individuals' perspectives in the creation of a common framework is one of the biggest methodological challenges for planning of network outcomes. Concept mapping is a kind of methodology that creates a stakeholder-authored visual geography of ideas from a group. It uses both a quantitative and qualitative approach, including brainstorming, structuring the statement, specific analysis and data interpretation methods to produce maps that can then be used to guide planning and evaluation efforts on the issues that matter to the group. 13 network managers who work in the social welfare centers in Busan are core participants. The 50 statements on network outcomes from brainstorming session fell into six distinct clusters. After the interpretation session these clusters were rated according to the seven rating scales. This paper explores applicability of concept mapping in the process of planning of network outcomes in social welfare. Concept mapping helps stakeholders with different value and ideas about network outcomes to consensus on common conceptual framework. In addition, a multidimensional conceptualization of network outcomes was made. It will assist in designing future outcomes evaluation and guide the evaluators through a selection of key activities and outcomes.
Background: Understanding the history of human papilloma virus (HPV) infection is important for interpretation of a positive HPV DNA screening test, future work-up and treatment. We investigated the transition of HPV DNA test results in Korean women, and analyzed the association of cytology result with transition type. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed annual HPV DNA test results for 5,274 subjects between January 2005 and December 2012. Each subject had a minimum of five annual tests over the eight-year period. Based on the pattern of results, the transition type for each subject was assigned to one of the following: negative, persistent, latent, transient, and unclassifiable. Associations of cytology results with the HPV DNA transition types, number of positive results, and the durations of positive results were also analyzed. Results: The proportion of abnormal cytology findings decreased in the following order of transition patterns: persistent, latent, transient, and negative. Among transient patterns, a duration of three years or more significantly correlated with cytology results of non-high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL; p<0.001). In the persistent group, duration of five years or more correlated with both non-HSIL and HSIL (p<0.001). Latent group showed no correlation with duration. Irrespective of patterns, having five or more positive results was significantly associated with HSIL (p<0.001). Conclusions: Our findings may contribute to better understanding of HPV infection, interpretation of HPV DNA screening results, and prediction of prognosis according to transition type.
The audience of the performing arts enacted on the stage appreciate acting of the characters in a play to understand its plot, identify with the characters, and comprehend the message and subject matters of the play. Stage make-up in particular should assist audience in comprehending the story without overpowering or distracting the script. Stage make-up is a crucial means to visualize occupation, class, personality, and age of the characters. Thus it is an essential means in producing a high quality performance. The aim of the study is to examine character-emphasis make-up for a play by reviewing theories on the concepts and methods of the stage make-up. The methodology of the study was to analyze character make-up of the adopted play The Madwoman of Chaillot (La Folle de Chaillot) translated from the original French, as a case study. The technique and features of the character make-up of the play were examined, and functions of each factor of the character make-up depending on a role were also examined. The results of the study are as follows. The stage make-up for creating and expressing a distinctive personality of the characters in a play must integrate environmental factors external to a performance such as lighting and scale of a venue. Moreover the stage make-up must adopt and reconstruct internal factors of the play such as interpretation of the original work, subject matters, interpretation of the script, character analysis based on the discussion with a director, and design setting.

The purpose of this study is to find out what the implications for communication in the Untacted era are through interpretation of works created by researchers for communication and relationship using traditional Hanji materials as a new communication method to cope with the situation of Corona 19. This work uses an in-depth interpretation of the motivations, intentions, and meanings of researchers who are challenged with their experience, knowledge, and intuitive insights. The works and interpretations that were originally exhibited for the purpose of human relations and communication using Hanji materials representing traditional Korean beauty are as follows. First, creative activities that utilize traditional materials for human relations and communication through overcoming the limitations of the untact era, such as Corona 19, are helpful for mutual understanding and finding meaning. Second, the use of traditional materials for the formation of relationships and communication between people in the same ethnicity, language, and space can be a medium for forming a common perception. The findings will provide motivation for the use and expansion of human relationships and communication in disaster situations as basic data.
The purpose of this study is to discover the possibility to expand the aesthetic interpretation of dance works. For this purpose, this study analyzes Maguy Marin's (1981) because it shows Sigmund Freud's concept of uncanny and grotesque images well. The theoretical framework of this study was centered on previous academic studies, and Hoffman's Der Sandmann(1816) was presented as an example to help the conceptual understanding of uncanny and grotesque. The analysis of of Magi Marin was divided into stage space, dancer's movements, costumes, and voice. As a result of this study, it was discovered that is a work with an experimental spirit that deviated from the stereotypes of traditional stage aesthetics. And it was implemented as uncanny and grotesque images in the choreography structure. In addition, as the changes of the times have a great influence on the creation of dance works, it is thought that the discourse of various aesthetic interpretation methods in dance works can provide various directions for dance creation in the future. Therefore, this study will be helpful in raising the aesthetic value and status of dance art.
This thesis aims to study the space concept of the constructive mode in the work space of the postmodernism artists since 1970s. According to the changing view of the world artists, they are searching for the characteristics of having the parameter of formative organization on how they are related to the constructive system which represents the work styles. First, this study searches for the theoretical approaches of the constructive system and parameters that were studied by Le Corbusier - the module concept as the meaning of order system being used for the basic formative construction Second, when it is regarded as a formative construction in making art as the'principles of organization'(the law of living form), which was defined by Suzanne Langer in the formative theory as the organized structure shown in growth structure in mu and ecological system, the principles governing the module rules were arthmetically analysed art-work space through the dynamic symmetry of Jay Hambidge. Therefore, this study shows the principles working on the parameters for new formative organization as follows: First, the module in the work space should be designed and built from the dynamic symmetry. Second, the module should satisfy the human needs that it must be acceptable, efficient, flexible, which are the necessary and sufficient condition for the dynamic symmetry. Third, the dynamic symmetry which has the principle of Reciprocity and the principle of Complement as its primary construction principle has the common properties and the reciprocity in the construction of the work space and when it has the self similarity, it segments organically the total space without damaging the continuum.
Many presentations of documents are rejected because credits have been incorrectly issued. One reason of rejecting the documents is related with error in application stage of L/C. Errors may take the form of mismatches between the terms of the sales contract and the provisions stipulated in the credit. Thus, Article 5 encourages applicants to make their contribution to the smooth running of the letter of credit process by being unambiguous and brief. Another reason that the banks reject the documents relates to the ambiguity of the term "International Standard Banking Practice" That is to say, UCP500 Art.13 introduced the term "International Standard Banking Practice"(ISBP) without the definition so that one wonder what ISBP is or how ISBP apply in daily work of bankers, examination of documents. From hence, International Chamber of Commerce(ICC) started the work to document ISBP at May 2000, finally approved the result last year and published the publication titled "International Standard Banking Practice for the examination of documents under documentary credits." By applying ISBP in document examination stage, I expect that the freqency of rejecting the documents grow less and bankers' work of examination become easy. On the other hand, ISBP is supplement to UCP500 so that the interpretation of ISBP is made on the basis of understanding of UCP and its underlying principles. So, I reviewed each paragraphs of ISBP on this basis and tried to indicate contradiction between ISBP and UCP500. But because of reading not enough, I failed to search the connotative sense many paragraphs have.
The objective of this study is to understand bodily extension and identity in contemporary fashion art through the analysis of 'the fashion acting on the body' among the fashion theory excluding body and the conspicuous works on the opening and covering images as a fashion art as a body-space'. This study also investigated identity problems where there are poles apart in opening and closure their bodies and body-space in which its clothing types were distorted by being de-bodilization out of the traditional and ideological expression method in contemporary fashion art from a opening and closure point of view. Image of opening and closure among body-space in fashion art can be classified into opposing structure of opening and closure. Destroying the boundary between bodily opening and closure for a primary function of clothing and dismantling the role and boundary between body and clothing, opening body-space in appearance as a reemergence of body image or the border between inner and outer are being ambiguous because of transparent material. Being representative work of this study opening body-space was expressed as an opening space image using transparency. On the contrary, closure body-space was isolated from external environment and confined in the certain space, which could limit or restraint body- action. Excluding boundary of body and clothing on the whole or in part, boundary of work becomes body-space. However, these were appeared to be a work inducing unlimited curiosity and meaning from the audience. The interpretation of artistic and body-space in fashion art are indicating the role and function of the fashion art exceeding the suggestible dimensions in the every day life of fashion. The body-space of fashion art showing similar aspect of body art today could be understood that it is substituted into an metaphorical, critical space by seeing it as a symbol system connected with social space. Therefore, contemporary fashion art should be interpreted as an equivocal space looking at the body-space with open mind.
This study is about expressive aspects of subversive mimesis found in architectural design under 2nd Modernity. Architectural works under 2nd Modernity are described based on pseudo-scientific positivism and philosophical ontology of Deleuze. However, subversiveness found in works of arts by architects such as Rem Koolhaas present a few complexities to relay on such a description. This is about 'subversiveness' which absorbs the positive and negative factors of modernity which has been multi-layered as 'cultural capital'. This study aims to identify meta-phenomenon as well as the specific correlations between expression and purposes of any work of art that is presented in the form of subversiveness. To achieve this aim, this study approached with the concepts of appropriation and detournment based on Adorno's subversive mimesis concept. Meta-phenomena of architectural design methods occur from relations of three, which are social reality, artist, and work of art. This was connected to productivity of mimesis practice of self-reference and self-examination, which was then, summed up from the perspectives of appropriation in pure arts and d$\acute{e}$tournment of situationalists. Based on this work, subversive expressive characteristics of architecture under 2nd Modernity were framed from the perspectives of the absorption of cultural capital, reflection and negation, autonomy, instrumentality, and meta properties. In this way, this study found that Adorno's subversiveness should be effective for creative and methodological systemization in terms of interpretation of cognition, practice, and effect after materialization.
