  • This study aimed to investigate the potential of Art Therapy to be part of Liberal Arts programs for university students. The study is based on the examination of the effect after the program. The program was combined with Art Therapy theory and with a practical part for students to have a psychological understanding of self development(ego-identity, self-esteem and interpersonal relationship). The subjects were 38 students who were registered in the Art Therapy course at N university. It was a two hour-course and was offered every week. The first 40 minutes of the class were used for explaining Art Therapy theory, and the last 80 minutes were given for practice. To analyze the effect of the program, the index of ego-identity, the index of self-esteem and the index of interpersonal relationship were used. Frequency, percentage and standard deviation were calculated with SPSS 12.0, and a paired t-test was followed. According to the results, this art therapy program has an effect on the subjectivity and future-confidence of students, which includes the sub-categories of self-identity. However, there was no effect found in the category of self-esteem. Comprehension, which is under the interpersonal relationships category, showed statistically meaningful differences after the program was done. Based on this study, it was revealed that Art Therapy as a part of the Liberal Arts programs, which incorporates a large number of students, can have a similar effect on people compared to the Group Art Therapy, which incorporates a relatively smaller number of people.

  • This study attempted to develop a scale that Interpersonal Caring Behavior Measurement Tool, based on Kim's Interpersonal caring theory, and confirmed its reliability and validity. The items were used as 50 items of 10 concepts based on the Su-ji Kim's interpersonal care theory in Korea developed by Seon-hee Yun. Subjects were nurses working at a general hospital or higher, who agreed to participate in this study. As a result of the study, 50 questions in 10 concepts of the first were derived from active listening, accepting, complimenting, noticing, and companioning through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, and criterion validity and reliability were verified. This tool is meaningful in that it can measure Caring Behavior from the perspective of the subject and family, and can be used as an index to visualize the quality improvement of nursing care by quantifying it.

  • Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) has been noted as a significant risk factor for possible suicide attempts. According to the Interpersonal Psychological Theory of Suicide, individuals can attempt suicide after they have acquired the capability to commit it. The acquired capability for suicide can be defined as one's habituated level to the pain and fear associated with suicidal behaviors. This is obtained through constant exposure to painful and provocative events, NSSIs being a prime example. This article reviews prior related studies to determine the extent to which the acquired capability for suicide can be utilized as a predictive factor for fatal suicide attempts following NSSIs. Our review finds a total of 11 studies that directly or indirectly support the claim that the acquired capability for suicide should be considered as a relevant factor linking NSSIs and suicide attempts. Given that NSSIs are most frequently observed in clinical settings, our findings suggest that the acquired capability for suicide will be a useful indicator for clinicians to predict the risk of future suicide attempts by patients.

  • The purpose of this study was to verify a Structural Equation Model that constructed the causations among the leisure constraints, leisure. motivation, and leisure participation. This model posits that constraints determine motivation to participation. Concretely, structural and interpersonal leisure constraints(contextual factors) will affect interpersonal leisure constraints in the light of ecological perspective. Also, leisure constraints will affect leisure motivation based on self-determination theory that may influence leisure participation indirectly. A survey questionnaire was administered to 301 elderly in an institution for the elderly. A measurement model and a structural equation model estimates by Maximum Likelihood method(ML method) utilizing LISREL 8.0 ver. The analysis showed that a goodness of fit is good of structural equation model presented in the study. And, all hypothesis adopted about causations among the leisure constraints, leisure motivation, leisure participation.

In order to accomplish the study purpose, research model and hypothesis were established based on the previous research. As a result of the analysis, it was found that attitude and Perceived Behavioral Control had a positive effect on the safety behavioral intention. Triandis theory shows that social factors and habits have a positive impact on safety behavioral intention. In addition, A comparison of the two models confirms that both psychological processes of recognition and emotion are accompanied by the relationship between safety information awareness and safety behavioral intention.

And also it is to verify dual mediating effect between optimism and quality of relationship. Data for this study were collected through the use of a survey instrument completed by 405 interpersonal traumatic experience, 30-60 age group. Collected data were analysed by AMOS program, Structure Equation Model(SEM) was implemented to verify the mediating effect between optimism and quality of relationship. Finally, Phantom Variable was utilized for verification of indirect influence of a multi mediating effects. The findings of this study were as follows, First, the result shows that the higher level interpersonal traumatic experience, the higher posttraumatic growth they have. Second, it shows that optimism and quality of relationship have partial mediating effect between interpersonal traumatic experience and posttraumatic growth. Third, it was analyzed that optimism and quality of relationship had double mediating effect. • Recently, personal information leakage incidents with increased usage of mobile services are increasing. Personal information leakage incidents can have a significant impact on an individual's mobile banking services. Accordingly, we examine relationships among individual's psychological characteristics, intention and behavior regarding compliance in an individual's perception on personal information leakage incidents in mobile banking contexts. In this study, for explaining our research model and understanding with personal psychology and behavior in mobile banking contexts, we adopted two theories, theory of interpersonal behavior and stimulus-response theory. We collected the 55 data using online surveyor and then analyzed structural equation model in order to find causal relationships among research variables. The results of this study should be useful to the mobile banking services companies in promoting service users to follow the information privacy policies.

  • The strategic plan of nutrition education intervention was established to improve nutritional status and reduce nutrition-related diseases for Korean adults. Nutritional problems and risk factors of the nutrition-related diseases were identified to set the long-term goal and objectives for the intervention. The social learning theory and theory of diffusion of innovation served as theoretical basis for this plan. Mass media and interpersonal channels were used to educate the whole adult population and specific target groups. The outline of the educational contents was developed for the whole adult population and slightly modified according to characteristics of the target groups. This plan can serve as a guideline for the operational plans for the future nutrition education intervention.

  • Purpose: This study presents the findings of various research on human intelligence and Multiple Intelligence Theory and suggested the implications of Multiple Intelligence Theory-based approach to the nursing education for the ill children. Method: Research objectives were accomplished by conducting a literature review. The main areas of the literature review included the Multiple Intelligence Theory, and it's application case for the children with learning disorder. Results: Dissatisfaction with traditional IQ tests has led to the development of a number of alternative theories, all of which suggest that intelligence is the result of a number of independent abilities that uniquely contribute to human performance. Among them, Multiple Intelligences Theory led to break intelligence down into at least eight different components: logical, linguistic, spatial, musical, kinesthetic, naturalist, intra-personal and interpersonal intelligences. In addition, Multiple Intelligence Theory and it's application case believes that every topic can be effectively taught and achieved using six entry points framework. Conclusions: The educational implications of Multiple Intelligence Theory in view of the health education and education in the children's hospital school should be considered for the ill children2's better education in a hospital setting.
