As the environmental paradigm is the major issue today, the guideline of the ecological design in the interior architectural field is needed. One on the knowledge necessary to plan the ecological interior architecture as a designer is the spectification related factors for planning, which should be applied in materialistic matters. In this paper, the knowledge of materials and products needed to design interior space considering the ecological factors is studied. And, a guideline for the eco-design is investigated for the expression of the environmentally friendly perception.

Today, the growing number of international architects enters the open market of South Korean architecture and interior from exhibition spaces such as art galleries to buildings of major companies. Establishing new local landmarks, their works have a considerable influence on the development of architecture. Among many, French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte has worked consistently in South Korea. The purpose of this study is to analyze and put together the expression characteristic of the interior design in his exhibition spaces including Gana Art Gallery. Jean-Michel Wilmotte has designed based on the history, culture, society, and arts in France and other European countries, and is influenced by architects like Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Josef Hoffmann, and Carlo Scarpa. Such an influence is shown in the form of contrast between verticality and horizontality as well as the fortification in his modern classical characteristic, which is one of his expression characters. In his work of improving the ancient architecture, Wilmotte is good at creating a modern space through contextual expression, and the textural contrast between materials of the past and the present. Thus I performed an analysis of the expression characteristic of the interior design in National Museum of Contemporary Art of Chiado in Lisbon, Cognac Hennessy Museum in France, Gana Art Gallery in Korea, Mus$\acute{e}$e du Pr$\acute{e}$sident Jacques Chirac in Sarran, France, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) in Beijing, and lastly Mus$\acute{e}$e d'Orsay in Paris. The results show that he maintains the spatial context by applying contemporary design to the preserved existing structure, continues the flow of exhibition through the lightings in the corridors and on the ceiling, and seeks for a balance by adding vertical or horizontal elements to the elevation. In the interior, the staircase and exhibition structure are turned into objects, and the contrasting texture of the wall vitalizes the space. Wilmotte redesigns the space of the past and the present by using indirect joint that allows an organic connection of the old and new structures, and by minimizing the conflict between the two elements through prefabrication. The expression character of his interior design will be potential resources for architects and interior designers to develop their own design languages.

The aim of this study is to forecast characteristics of dynamic expression in the architecture design by analyzing characteristics and trends in dynamic expressions of the architecture classified by period. The various architectural trends, even in the transition of new paradigm after collapse of the CIAM, consistently expresses dynamics of architecture. In this study, it regards the inherent characteristics of the architecture design as expression of space organization and modelling and it views dynamic expression is important element of the architecture design. The case study shows that the architecture of passed 50 years, the key element of the dynamic expressions are expression of new technology and expression of one's experience. Also, it shows that the dynamic expressions of architecture in 1990's are expression of new technology which consists of lightness, fragmentation, and symbolism that reflects the trend of arts in 1990's.

After Industrial Revolution, new thought system is needed to subdue multi-chanties and complexities of society. Nowadays under 'system theory', these efforts are theorized and organized in fields of science, philosophy and others. From Industrial revolution, before establishing the system theory, system has been needed by the expression methods. From that time, as it could be done, standardization, has been continued. Finally these conclusion reached at the systematic expression methods and when the system was build up, this theory was come true in Art such as De Stijl, Neo-Pasticism, Russian Suprematism and Constructism. For that reason, formal solution to achieve mass reductions was found in Art, so people connected Industry with Art at that time. Systematic expression methods in Art have characteristics of system and reflect mathematics and geometry theory which is based on the system theory. This study analyzes the systematic methods in contemporary interior space through the concept of systematic expression methods in Swiss Allianz's works which used the systematic expression methods and also inquires how the common meaning of system after recent times effect to contemporary design.

The purpose of this study is to draw out the features of expressions about Nature in Korean interior design, because the Nature has been being very important theme in the interior space. So, the 68 cases of domestic famous interior designers' works during last ten years were selected from authorized design magazines like as INTERIORS, MARU and so on. And next, the cases were analysed in according to interior image style, design elements used for effect of Nature and the direction of expression(directly or indirectly), As the results, composite expressions with a few elements were found in modern, hi-tech, elegant, minimal and casual styles, while direct expressions with many elements were found in natural and ethnic styles. And main elements for effect of Nature were trees and stones. Among many elements, water and stones became more important elements after 2000 than before. In the meantime the use of composite expressions was being increased and so appeared even in natural and ethnic styles.

The purpose of this study is providing a usage of exterior, interior finish materials and color scheme for architectural design and the actual texture and pattern plans of finish materials from Le Corbuisier's work, Chapel Ronchamp. Chapel Ronchamp was analyzed to support the study for the interaction between texture usage and color expression. As a powerful design tool, texture, pattern and color of finish materials are very effective to alter the perception of the facade in the building. Most of architectural buildings, shapes and materials of elevations are monotonous and uniform. This study should be considered by details in the elevation of Chapel Ronchamp. As the part for developing and planning of architectural design, researching color plans and finish material is very important on real expression in the architectural space. As a result, this study will benefit in planning both the exterior and interior environments of color and finish material with texture and pattern.

This study analyzes the new possibility of design through the research for the expression of cladding design architectural materials, and applies to connection with creative design concept. In these modern days, architectural materials became the subject of expression as itself thanks to the development of new technology and materials. The physical properties of materials and their beauty value made possible the variety and possibility of expression in space design. The expressional properties of materials can lead mutual communication between commodity and brand by association, presenting brand image and the distinction of its value. Therefore, the trends of designed material expression in space design according to modern aspect can offer the possibility of material space design for ahead. This study suggest an alternative idea for revitalizing design by materials.

Recently, Townhouse has emerged as a blue ocean of real estate market in Korea. In designing town houses, which are luxurious suburban houses centered around the capital area, the construction companies are using 'designer marketing' in which they hire interior designers and architects and express various styles of design in the interior space of the town houses. Therefore, this study examined the unit-family cases of Korean townhouses and analyzed the expression characteristics of design in the interior space of the town houses built after 2000 in terms of their spatial, morphological, material, and color aspect. "The extensibility of space" and "variableness of space" seem to have the same meaning, but they turned out to be not related to each other due to the particularity of houses. "The extensibility of space" turned out to show its characteristics via "the use of transparent materials." "Minimal form" utilizes the unified "achromatic and simple colors" to emphasize the simplicity and in some cases, highlights the use of original colors. The interior space of the townhouses expresses the traditional or heterosexual oriental image through "the use of natural materials," and they point out the "oriental form" through the controlled beauty expressed by using oriental components and "achromatic and simple colors."

Architecture should deviate from euclidean ideas of abstract space while helping to accommodate individual perceptions and experiences of a given space. Concepts for making space should be cognitively processed. The process of gathering information from the environment represents a new spatial concept as expressed in the cognitive structural relationship between the environment and the individual as the subject of architecture. Additionally, the cognitive experience of space is primarily perceived visually, and visual perception is the basis for information-gathering and decision-making. Therefore architecture should be excluded from the conceptual focus on the existing space design rules, being expressed instead in experimental architectural spaces connected to subjective human experience. While some research has been done on this topic regarding architecture, further study is required in the area of interior design. This study proposes the possibility of composing effective living space through an investigation of cognitive space concept theory and expression elements, and includes a case study of Interior architectural spatial analysis.

This study is a understanding on technological specific expression to reflect of a research institute in modern architecture. For this study, it separately reduce space program, plan program, design elements of elevation, structural system, mechanical system, building material program to its expressional elements of research institute. Also, it's arranged about a specificity that is expressed for technology each plan elements of a research institute. As a result, elements what is expressive of technology on research institute are influenced an aesthetic expression, expression of an arrangement system, structural expression, expression of architectural organization, and it influences more getting feels technological specificity expressed an aesthetic, structural system, architectural composition, mechanical distribution system in order of their magnitude. This is offered suggestion what must be an achievable complex both a simply technological expression and aesthetic expression.
