A number of the retail and traditional market customer is decrease, whereas that of the supermarket in department-store customers is increase. This case suggests that customers have a preference for much more comfortable and pleasant shopping places And making a reasonable purchase in the supermarkets where we can find various goods and price zone, is now garden variety. It is a current course that once the manager ask an architect for multi-functional space design in department-store and then the architect compose a team and start to design. Of course, the team of planner thinking manage give the design team the basic material data such as commerce analysis and the use of each layer in the department store but, the design team solve the assignment by architectural form, functional space plan and the limited architecture law, After establishing general design for architecture, we can ask shopping-mall distribution, products display and interior design of the interior design team. so it is inevitable that the interior design team concerning M$\cdot$D can find lots of complementary factors with architecture design. The purpose of this study is analyzing the differences of architecture design, which has to accept the limited law and interior design concerning M$\cdot$D, satisfying the structure and the law in the future design for the department-store. Also the purpose of this thesis is suggestion the items architects and interior designers research into together to make the inner space ideally.

The purpose of this study was on suggesting what is the image and image formation factor of interior landscaping plants. For this purpose, the sixty interior landscaping plants were selected. Selected plants were classified into 9 groups by similar characteristics of plants, for example, leaf color and leaf pattern. Data analysis were performed by semantic differential scale method, mean score and multiple regression algorithm. The results are as follows, 1. Comparing with image assessment, group 9 got the highest score in all aspects. 2. Comparing with the image assessment of interior landscaping plants, the "impressive" image was obtained the highest score and "bright", "cool", "beautiful" and "fresh" were followed. 3. Multiple regression analysis was performed to clarify influence degree of the adjectives related to the beauty. The next adjectives were significant check points on assessing the beauty of interior landscaping plants. Also, Guzmania magnifical was investigated to have the most beautiful image with the results of preference analysis. Vriesea splendens, Cordyline terminalis Kunth 'Lilliput' and Peperomia sandersii were identified as considerably preferred plants. were identified as considerably preferred plants.

This study is investigation into the number of major subjects and computer-using subjects in department of interior architecture-related in 2008 & 2010 year. We arranged and analyzed collected data by searching homepages of subjects to survey and was able to reach conclusions as follows : Firstly, the number of department of interior architecture-related has decreased in colleges and universities at the same time in 2010 than 2008. Secondary, computer-using subjects tended to open lower grades than higher grades, so students used to control computer softwares easily. Thirdly, the purposes of computer-related subjects divide to four parts, 2dimensional-drafting, 2dimensional presentation, 3dimensional design, 3dimensional presentation(modeling and rendering included). Fourthly, from average 4.7 to 4.3 subjects have opened each the two year(2008, 2010) in college and from average 4.7 to 2.5 subjects in universities. and each 4(or5) subjects in college and 2(or 3) subjects in universities are opened mostly. Fifthly, Computer-related subjects tend to decrease the number of opening those subjects in universities, however it is necessary to be opened four computer-related subjects at least in order to design by using computer softwares.

This plan is to express a Image and Symbol in the Church Architecture by analogy and metaphor. The Church was spiritual sympathy of the god and a human being. So, symbolic image is important in church architecture at present. These symbolize express to wishful message, persecution, miracle and Noah's Ark. The purpose of this study was investigating the managers' consciousness on the interior landscape in coffee shop, the actual measurement of the space size and greenary spaces of coffee shop for grasping the actual condition of interior landscape. The coffee shop was made and object of this research was 100 cases in the center of Taegu city. The major results of actual measurement of the ratio greenary and spaces are as follows; 1. The ratio greenary spaces in the indoor plants was account for 2.06% of the coffee shop area. 2. The managers recognized that the spaces area of the interior plantscape were narrow comparison with whole spaces area about the interior landscape. 3. A major arrangement type of the interior landscape was the dispersion type. 4. A major plants used for the interior landscape were foliage plants and also most of managers prefered foliage plant. 5.Generally, managers were high interested in the interior landscape but the experience knowledge and investment in the interior landscape were not sufficient.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the interior characteristics of Philips Exeter Academy library by Louis I. Kahn. Kahn's main thoughts of 'what it wants to be ' and 'how it was done' play a important role in this research because these statements act as a clue to understand this library. 'What it wants to be' means the essence and existence of architecture and 'how it was done' shows the tectonic of architecture and construction process to enhance its presence. Most of his works inform that Kahn had consistently applied his thoughts into design process. The thoughts of the essence of library leads Kahn to configurate 3 layers of interior space. The emphasis of tectonic expression is also the characteristics of interior in that structure is the logical part of whole building system rather than concealing object for the exterior of buildings. In Exeter library, interior characteristics are summarized as 3 layers of interior configuration, the order in dynamics, the visualization of construction process, and the relationship between structure and space.

One of the most important thing in studying the form of the interior architecture is to set up the methodology of the morphological of the morphological analysis. This article tries to introduce one of such attempts namely, that of Dr. Hisao Koyama, professor of Tokyo University , by applying it to one of F.L. Wright's works, the Robie residence . Professor Koyama has outlined a new methodology of morphologically analyzing the interior architectures, by shifting his focus of analysis from the external conditions of a form, such as functional personal and social traits and traits of the time, to the internal conditions of the form as itself. The outcome of the analysis clearly shows that the Robie Residence , classically known by its horizontality, does have a coexisting factor of verticality. This implies that such a method is useful in revealing the aesthetic compounds of the interior architectures, this time that of F.L. Wright , in a more concrete way. Such an outcome can hopefully be applied to the practices of designing the interior architectures.

The theory of Place is based on the relations of human being, environment and architecture in the view of the existentialism and phenomenology. A place has two respects, the one is Natural place as landscape and the other is Man-made place as city, public building , private house. These properties of place are appeared through axis , directions, boundaries, centers , enclosures that are basic elements in architecture . Therefore these elements embody sense of place as orientation , identification , identity. imageability, stabilitas loci, heirarchy. And these sensually compositional elements of poace concretize district, landmark, node, path, edge that ceate a setting into work and place in architecture & interior design.

There has been preconceived assumption that, in good architecture, exterior and interior have to be harmoniously related to each other. However, in contemporary architecture, it is easy to witness that this harmonious relationship between exterior and intoner is severely challenged and various exterior surfaces have multi-faceted roles. Rem Koolhaas explained this sort of new situation in the light of 'lobotomy' that is a surgical method for mental disorders, based on the high-rise buildings in the early Manhattan. This study is started with the Rem Koolhaas' lobotomy concept and how this concept is applied to his projects. The multiple roles of exterior surface can be also found in many contemporary architects' projects. Among them, Jacques Herzog & Pierre do Neuron and Toyo Ito's recent projects are discussed to further analyze the new roles of surface and compared with Rem Koolhaas' case. Although the architects discussed present very limited scope of what is happening on the surface of comtemporary architecture, it is hoped to disclose some examples of new relationship between exterior and interior.

The modern architecture has to find more essential configuration order rather than the spatial order in the reasonable feint. In other side, paintings and sculptures as a part of the building in the past become a pure art and develop an abstract art. Also they make many affects on the modern architecture as a paradigm. New material has brought to the new forms and the changes of the overall culture and art. One of the new changes has made the object that is one of unique culture symptoms in the 20C and the general part of the modem art includes it. The wall that limits the inside area through mass and volume before the recent times had treated as the object to express the special mean and character. However, the wall has developed as a component that consists of the internal space through surface and volume rather than mass or structure since the recent times. Now, I survey the objective tendency of the wall in the modem interior architecture mainly focused on the relation between object in the abstract art and wall inside.
