This paper aims to provide pragmatic application guidelines of the interior finish materials for apartment houses with newly-established evaluation methodology of the sustainable degree of interior products. With reference to the standards and criteria of domestic eco-labeling accreditation schemes for sustainable products in the area of architecture which focus on the sustainable elements classified as the health, recyclability, durability, and energy efficiency, in this study, a systematic evaluation method has been established for interior finish products with quantifiable indicators for sustainable performance. Base on the evaluation system introduced here, most interior finish products can be classified into a database and applied effectively to the realities from the perspective of the sustainability. There are the necessities of enforcement issues with the idea of revising or taking remedial measures of the current performance criteria of domestic eco-labeling accreditation to bolster their reliability. As well as already-commercialized products, hereafter, continued efforts are needed to control the whole process of manufacturing new interior finish products from their designing, constructing, consuming, recycling and to dismantling in terms of sustainability, which promises more pragmatic follow-up measures for the detail embodiment of the environment-friendly spaces.

It is difficult to understand the interior of complex facilities such as general hospital. Because interior spatial composition in hospital tends to be focused on function. So it is important to find out how people understands the structure of interior spaces. Therefore, this study aims to analyze how interior space affects the legibility of space making use of puzzle map method. The subjects of this investigation are two general hospitals which have typical plans in Korea. ; One is corridor type and the other is hall type.

In a modern society, as the architectural materials have become main subject of the interior design expression, their influence on architecture is becoming substantial. There are multiple ways of using architectural materials. The aesthetic value is greatly enhanced by the fact that the architectural materials can be used to create unrestricted and new expression. The modern time is uncertain and rapidly changing. In this era of chaos and diversity, the materialism is being superseded by idealism. Speedy exchange of information among the countries with development of new technology and materials increases the possibility of new expressions. Each new material that adds new value influences on the other art as well as the architecture. These characteristics of new expressions could be viewed as having close relationship with current idealism. Therefore, the study on the expressive trend of architectural materials will provide better understanding and translation on expression of interior design. At this point, this study has a purpose in not only understanding architectural materials but also researching for the characteristics of expression on interior design with consideration of paradigmatic variation in modern times.

Recently, As the construction industry has been growing in size and complexity, the utilization of BIM is increased to improve effective management and integration of information. BIM (Building Information Modeling) has been focused on architecture, engineering, construction and maintenance field. However, There is a lack of BIM research on Interior Architecture fields. So It needs more research in this area. Through a previous study that review on BIM applicability of building interior design, this study propose a process of Plan and utilization planning for building Interior design based on BIM. As a result of this, BIM library, 3D simulation, automation for quantity estimation and information management can improve efficiency of business and help decision making for plan.

This Study aims to evaluate the interior atmospheres of atrium by glass colours. For the purpose, the 1/50 scale model of one-sided atrium was made and images of interior atmospheres were pictured under clear sky conditions. And then, questionnaire surveys were conducted on K university students in department architecture engineering. The survey results were analyzed by SPSS program. Frequency and correlation analysis were performed. As results, clear glass is chosen as the most preferred glass colour in any seasons. And, green and blue glasses are preferred in the order. And then, it is revealed that the main variables affecting satisfaction of interior atmospheres are a little changed by thermal senses of seasons. These variables are "bright", "neat", "warm", "comfort", "stable", "active", "static", "elegant" and "cool" through correlation analysis.

The purpose of this study is to classify the epistemological critique between philosophy and architecture. Although there are various interpretations and criticism about the architecture, the fundamental critique of architecture is difficult. It is necessary to approach by the philosophic paradigm rather than architectural one. Therefore the procedure and method of study is to define the epistemology within philosophy and architecture, and present the classification viewpoint and the architecture case. The conclusions of this study based on purpose and process are as follows : The First, the philosophic epistemology is to mean the unity of subjective and objective. And the epistemological viewpoint of architectural philosophy is to define the construction's universality. The second, the architectural philosophy is a kind of the philosophy of art, and It is associated with the basis of aesthetics. Thus, the category of architectural philosophy like the aesthetics is classified with function directivity and form directivity, content directivity. The Last, epistemological critiques between philosophy and architecture are as follows ; 1) subject-object-integrated recognition critique (function directivity), 2) object-oriented recognition critique (form directivity), 3) subject-oriented recognition critique (content directivity).

Current architecture can receive support of and command various ways of expression by more advanced technology of the present time, this means the formation of changeable external design of building, and has the tendency to be interactive non-rheological shape. Accordingly surface of building is decorated not only by the basic function and the expression of information, but also by complex narrative image structure or text, so far as recognizes human as the subject of communication, and is trying the artistic expression interacting with the general public. In various expressive tendency of current architecture surface design, such an approach from a view of an interactive art trying the communication between architecture, art, and human has the meaning of suggesting the direction of directing emotional architecture giving a present to the morderners who are growing more and more an earnest desire for experiencing culture and art in their daily life.

In a word, Behnischs architecture can be said to be the architecture of humanism based on an interpretation of the human being. The architecture of Behnisch in which it is not space but people that becomes the subject in architecture is newness or novelty, which is proceeding to position itself as one architectural style representing the times. He refrain from the environment that is defensive and oppressive, and destructive and disruptive in composing his architecture and instead is directed towards the continuos, creative and open environment. With such an architectural language, he is pursuing a minimum of the best rather than quantity based on trust and respecting for man and nature as his unchanged theme. That is, he is seeking for the purpose of architecture that does not disregard individuality such as consumers wants and needs. As can be seen from it, his architectural work has aroused freshness and stimulus to the architectural environment that can not be boring, allowed us to look back on the architectural world and triggered our interest. His architecture has the human energy that moves us.

In the present architectural culture of Korea, the expression of Korean values and the contemporary trends of global architectures are not identified and arranged distinctly, so diverse tendencies are applied to the architectures of Korea recklessly. In this situation, minimal architecture is significant, which pursues the essence of architecture through the minimal materials. This thesis analyzes the characteristics of minimal architecture seeking after the essence of architecture by minimalization and examines Seung, Hyosang's architectures showing expressional traits similar to those of minimal architecture in the modem architectures of Korea, so this study can show the expressional characteristics and materials of minimal architecture. Nevertheless, it does not mean that all the Seung, Hyosang's works have the tendency of minimal architecture and that he has to be classified as a minimal architect, but it means only that the values and thoughts like the expressional traits of minimal architecture are seen in his architectural opinions! and works, which will be the subject of this study.

As the world becomes more globalized thanks to the fast development of the Internet, a national identity becomes more important than ever before. Based on this, the study searches for the identity of modern American architecture through exploring the influence of modem American fine arts on the contemporary architecture. It was found that the concepts and the attributes of modern American fine arts obviously transferred into the contemporary architecture. The main concept was elimination of any kind of illusion for maximization of reality, and it was rooted Into American culture, the way of life and thinking. With the concept, the attributes were divided into two extreme poles: materiality and morphology: the former was evolved from Abstract Expressionism and Post-Minimalism and transferred into Los Angeles Avant-Garde architecture; the latter was from Pop Art and transferred into Postmodern architecture and Pop Architecture.
