  • 본 논문에서는 유연성 있는 신호처리 방법으로 디지털 로직을 컴퓨터 논리연산 명령으로 구성하여 외부에서의 입력신호에 대응하는 논리연산의 결과를 입출력 채널을 통해 외부로 출력해 줄 수 있는 드라이브에 관한 연구이다. 이는 Decoder IC Multiolexer & Demulti Plexer, 기본 로직 IC 등의 가상구현 및 BIT출력이 가능한 디지털 신호원으로서의 기능이 가능하며 일반 산업체에서 유용하게 사용될 수 있으리라 사료된다.

  • Expert systems have a variety of potential applications in process control. The application domain ranges from the entire plant system to a single loop system. Both, off-line and real-time problems may be realized. In this paper, expert system is employed as a part of a single control loop of PID Controller with self-tuning. The goal of expert system in the present study is to build up the necessary process knowledge required for efficient control. In order to achieve this process, the development of an expert system and a prototype model is carried out. OPS5, a rule based production system, is utilized in experiment, and common LISP is used for man-machine interface.

  • Ubiquitous computing is a vision of our future computing lifestyle in which computer systems seamlessly integrate into our everyday lives, providing services and information in anywhere and anytime fashion. Augmented reality (AR) can naturally complement ubiquitous computing by providing an intuitive and collaborative visualization and simulation interface to a three-dimensional information space embedded within physical reality. This paper presents a service framework and its applications for providing context-aware u-car maintenance services using augmented reality, which can support a rich set of ubiquitous services and collaboration. It realizes bi-augmentation between physical and virtual spaces using augmented reality. It also offers a context processing module to acquire, interpret and disseminate context information. In particular, the context processing module considers user's preferences and security profile for providing private and customer-oriented services. The prototype system has been implemented to support 3D animation, TTS (Text-to-Speech), augmented manual, annotation, and pre- and post-augmentation services in ubiquitous car service environments.

A Gateway Protocol Architecture for Zigbee Based Wireless Sensor Network Interconnecting TCP/IP Networks

  • This paper investigates protocol architecture for a web-sensor gateway interconnecting internet and wireless sensor network, in which Zigbee sensors are connected over the IEEE802.15.4 communication protocol standard. The web-sensor gateway is to deliver data between TCP/IP and Zigbee/IEEE802.15.4 protocols, transparently. Since the gateway provides a means to remotely control and aggregate sensor data over the internet, it needs to be designed in the view point of users and in their convenience. In accordance, the common gateway interface technology satisfying users on the web browser to efficiently manage and query the sensors in the wireless sensor networks, ubiquitously, is also introduced. Finally, a simulation prototype for the web-sensor gateway is proposed and verified using OPNET simulation tool.

SATS: Structure-Aware Touch-Based Scrolling

  • Non-linear document navigation refers to the process of repeatedly reading a document at different levels to provide an overview, including selective reading to search for useful information within a document under time constraints. Currently, this function is not supported well by small-screen tablets. In this study, we propose the concept of structure-aware touch-based scrolling (SATS), which allows structural document navigation using region-dependent touch gestures for non-sequential navigation within tablets or tablet-sized e-book readers. In SATS, the screen is divided into four vertical sections representing the different structural levels of a document, where dragging into the different sections allows navigating from the macro to micro levels. The implementation of a prototype is presented, as well as details of a comparative evaluation using typical non-sequential navigation tasks performed under time constraints. The results showed that SATS obtained better performance, higher user satisfaction, and a lower usability workload compared with a conventional structural overview interface.

대형 기계 설비의 사고 대응을 위한 훈련 시뮬레이터 프레임워크 (Framework of a Training Simulator for the Accident Response of Large-scale Facilities)

  • For the proper decision making and responsibility enhancement for an unexpected accident in large-scale facilities, it is important to train operators or first responders to minimize potential human errors and consequences resulted from them. Simulation technologies, including human-computer interaction and virtual reality, enables personnel to participate in simulated hazardous situations with a safe, interactive, repetitive way to perform these training activities. For the development of accident response training simulator, it is necessary to define components comprising the simulator and to integrate them for the given training purpose. In this paper, we analyze requirements of the training simulator, derive key components, and design the training simulator. Based on the design, we developed a prototype training simulator and verified the simulator through experiments.

  • This paper illustrates the process of developing and configuring the prototype Computer Analysis System for Controlling Occupational WORKload (CAS-COWORK). The software interface between the database and expert system was attempted. The database is used for storing and retrieving series of data entered by general users and the expert system is used for identifying and solving occupational problem areas. Two theories were applied in developing the algorithm base of CAS-COWORK that were used to calculate overall workload stress level. The fuzzy set theory was introduced to capture the subject‘s workload stress perception. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was introduced to estimate the importance of the task and workplace variables. The purpose of the system development is for future prediction and problem solving which would be highly valuable to the industrial engineer.

  • 본 연구에서는 <네이버 영화> 페이지의 리뷰 데이터를 수집하여, 출현 빈도가 높은 단어를 중심으로 영화 관람객의 반응을 시각화하는 작업을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 총 6편의 영화를 선정하여 데이터 수집 및 정제과정을 거쳤으며, 의미연결망 분석(Semantic network analysis)을 활용하여 단어 간 관계성을 파악하고자 하였다. 데이터 시각화 작업에는 UCINET과 함께 패키지화된 NetDraw가 사용되었다. 본 연구의 시사점은 문장으로 작성된 영화 관람객의 리뷰를 키워드 중심으로 시각화하여, 소비자들의 반응을 한 눈에 확인하는 리뷰 인터페이스 구현이 가능한지 탐색하였다는 점이다.

  • In this study, a measuring system for performance of pantograph was developed. The measuring system was installed on the prototype high speed train and measurement has been conducted during running on the test track. The measuring system is composed of video monitoring system and telemetry & data processing system. It can monitor the hazard behavior of pantograph and measure acceleration and vertical force of the pan head. Owing to the measuring system, performance of pantograph and safety of interface system of pantograph and catenary is evaluated.

SPAX 병렬 컴퓨터에서의 온라인 무간섭 네트워크 성능 감시기 (An on-line non-invasive network monitor for the SPAX parallel computer)

  • This paper describes the design and test of an on-line non-invasive network performance monitor (hardware portion) for the SPAX parallel computer. The SPAX parallel computer supports up to 256 intel P6 processors with 4 P6 processors constituting a processign node. The nodes are interconnected with a dual two-level crossbar network calle dXcent-net. Since the performance of the SPAX parallel computer is highly dependent on the proper and efficient operation of the network, an on-line non-invasive network performance monitor (with hardware components) has been developed to aid in the monitoring and tunign of the Xcent-net. Successful testing of a prototype node monitor board and PC interface system shows that our monitor design provides a low-cost practical solution to this problem.
