An Interesting Story of Four Gamma-ray Bright AGNs by the iMOGABA

  • A Korean VLBI Network key science program, the Interferometric Monitoring of Gamma-ray Bright AGNs (iMOGABA) program continues to reveal the nature of the gamma-ray flares in active galactic nuclei (AGNs). Here in this presentation, we would like to introduce an interesting story about four gamma-ray bright AGNs - BL Lac, 1633+382, 3C 84, and M87 - based on the recent results of the iMGOABA. The results will include a) a sad story of an 'orphan' gamma-ray flare from BL Lac, b) a position offset of 40 pc for a gamma-ray flaring site from the radio regions in 1633+382, c) a position alignment of a gamma-ray flaring site with a central engine region in 3C 84, and d) a flat millimeter spectrum of a core in M87 revealed by the iMOGABA.

  • The aim of this research note is to evaluate two generalized integrals involving the product of generalized Bessel function and Jacobi polynomial by employing the result of Obhettinger [2]. Also, by mean of the main results, we have established an interesting relation in between $Kamp{\acute{e}}$ de $F{\acute{e}}riet$ and Srivastava and Daoust functions. Some interesting special cases of our main results are also indicated.

  • Integral transforms and fractional integral formulas involving well-known special functions are interesting in themselves and play important roles in their diverse applications. A large number of integral transforms and fractional integral formulas have been established by many authors. In this paper, we aim at establishing some (presumably) new integral transforms and fractional integral formulas for the generalized hypergeometric type function which has recently been introduced by Luo et al. [9]. Some interesting special cases of our main results are also considered.

  • In the theory of hypergeometric and generalized hypergeometric series, classical summation theorems have been found interesting applications in obtaining various series identities for ${\Pi}$, ${\Pi}^2$ and ${\frac{1}{\Pi}}$. The aim of this research paper is to provide twelve general formulas for ${\frac{1}{\Pi}}$. On specializing the parameters, a large number of very interesting series identities for ${\frac{1}{\Pi}}$ not previously appeared in the literature have been obtained. Also, several other results for multiples of ${\Pi}$, ${\Pi}^2$, ${\frac{1}{{\Pi}^2}}$, ${\frac{1}{{\Pi}^3}}$ and ${\frac{1}{\sqrt{\Pi}}}$ have been obtained. The results are established with the help of the extensions of classical Gauss's summation theorem available in the literature.

  • This paper is to provide a provision, in the system of virtual studying on the base of web, that can be used when learners(student) don't feel interesting anymore in the situation of unit studying and wanders in virtual space. No doubt, It's possible to provoke learner's interesting with providing such as fine multi-media, graph, and animation. But This study propose a method for learner who is apt to tired of studying although activity program is developing.

  • By establishing a new summation formula for the series $_3F_2(\frac{1}{2})$, recently Rathie and Pogany have obtained an interesting result known as Kummer type II transformation for the generalized hypergeometric function $_2F_2$. Here we aim at deriving their result by using a very elementary method and presenting two elegant results for certain terminating series $_3F_2(2)$. Furthermore two interesting applications of our new results are demonstrated.

  • We extracted English expressions that appear in Japanese sentences in newspaper articles and on the Internet. The results obtained from the newspaper articles showed that the preposition "in" has been regularly used for more than ten years, and it is still regularly used now. The results obtained from the Internet articles showed there were many kinds of English expressions from various parts of speech. We extracted some interesting expressions that included English prepositions and verb phrases. These were interesting because they had different word orders to the normal order in Japanese expressions. Comparing the extracted English and katakana expressions, we found that the expressions that are commonly used in Japanese are often written in the katakana syllabary and that the expressions that are not so often used in Japanese, such as prepositions, are hardly ever written in the katakana syllabary.

Reduction Formulas for Srivastava's Triple Hypergeometric Series F(3)[x, y, z]

  • Very recently the authors have obtained a very interesting reduction formula for the Srivastava's triple hypergeometric series $F^{(3)}$(x, y, z) by applying the so-called Beta integral method to the Henrici's triple product formula for the hypergeometric series. In this sequel, we also present three more interesting reduction formulas for the function $F^{(3)}$(x, y, z) by using the well known identities due to Bailey and Ramanujan. The results established here are simple, easily derived and (potentially) useful.

  • This paper describes an image segmentation technique for the object-oriented coding at very low bit rates. By noting that, in the object-oriented coding technique, each objects are represented by 3 parameters, namely, shape, motion, and color informations, we propose a segmentation technique, in which the 3 parameters are fully exploited. To achieve this goal, starting with the color space conversion and the noise reduction, the input image is divided into many small regions by the K-menas algorithm on the O-K-S color space. Then, each regions are merged, according to the shape and motion information. In simultations, it is shown that the proposed technique segments the input image into relevant objects, according to the shape and motion as well as the colors. In addition, in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed technique, we introduce the notion of the interesting regions, and provide the results of encoding the image with emphasizing the interesting regions.
