This study examined the knowledge and practices of scientific inquiry displayed by three student teachers and two beginning teachers at secondary levels. Observations using the instrument of OTOP designed by the research team of OCEPT (Oregon Collaborative for Excellent in the Preparation of Teachers) generalized similar teaching strategies of scientific inquiry between student and beginning teachers, such as using group work for students' first hand experience, using concrete materials for experimentation or visual tools for demonstration, using questions for factual knowledge mainly without opportunities to understand how scientific knowledge is constructed. Those scientific inquiry activities were very confirmative ones to follow the steps without opportunities of understanding nature of science or nature of scientific inquiry. However, all participants in this study hold knowledge of scientific inquiry envisioned by the National Science Education Standards [NSES] (NRC, 1996), where students identify their hypothesis, use critical and logical thinking, and consider alternative explanations through argumentation as well as experimentation. An inconsistent relationship between participating teachers knowledge and practices about scientific inquiry resulted from their lack of pedagogy skills of implementing it in the classroom. Providing opportunities for these teachers to reflect on their beliefs and practices about scientific inquiry was recommended for the future study. Furthermore, increasing college faculty interest in new teaching approaches for upgrading the content knowledge of student teachers and beginning teachers was recommended as a solution, since those teachers showed evidence of influence by college faculties at universities in their pedagogy skills.
In this study, a 27 class hour prescribed program for the fourth grade students is to be developed and applied by extracting the contents associated with basic operations studied prior to the fourth grade level of mixed calculations. After analyzing the results of the research, the following conclusions are obtained. First, the prescribed program for mixed calculations brought about the improvement in the mixed calculation problem solving ability of the students. Second, applying the prescribed program for mixed calculation resulted in an increase in students' interest and concentration on problem solving. In synthesis of the above conclusions, the development and application of the prescribed program for mixed calculation improved the students' concentration on the problem and the students' problem solving ability.
The purpose of the study was to investigate how the use of graphing calculators influence on forming students' mathematical concept of algebra, students' mathematical connection, and attitude toward mathematics. First, graphing calculators give instant feedback to students as they make students compare their written answers with the results, which helps students learn equations and linear inequalities for themselves. In respect of quadratic inequalities they help students to correct wrong concepts and understand fundamental concepts, and with regard to functions students can draw graphs more easily using graphing calculators, which means that the difficulty of drawing graphs can not be hindrance to student's learning functions. Moreover students could understand functions intuitively by using graphing calculators and explored math problems volunteerly. As a result, students were able to perceive faster the concepts of functions that they considered difficult and remain the concepts in their mind for a long time. Second, most of students could not think of connection among equations, equalities and functions. However, they could understand the connection among equations, equalities and functions more easily. Additionally students could focus on changing the real life into the algebraic expression by modeling without the fear of calculating, which made students relieve the burden of calculating and realize the usefulness of mathematics through the experience of solving the real-life problems. Third, we identified the change of six students' attitude through preliminary and an ex post facto attitude test. Five of six students came to have positive attitude toward mathematics, but only one student came to have negative attitude. However, all of the students showed positive attitude toward using graphing calculators in math class. That's because they could have more interest in mathematics by the strengthened and visualization of graphing calculators which helped them understand difficult algebraic concepts, which gave them a sense of achievement. Also, students could relieve the burden of calculating and have confidence. In a conclusion, using graphing calculators in algebra and function class has many advantages : formulating mathematics concepts, mathematical connection, and enhancing positive attitude toward mathematics. Therefore we need more research of the effect of using calculators, practical classroom materials, instruction models and assessment tools for graphing calculators. Lastly We need to make the classroom environment more adequate for using graphing calculators in math classes.
G-learning, based on online game, virtual reality activities and communities, is considered as a fresh, differentiated idea at learning which drives learners' interest and attention. The paper is to analyzed effectiveness of G-learning at the mathematics classes in elementary school. Fourth, fifth and sixth grade students in Seoul are selected as an experimental groups and their achievement scores are measured. The difference between G learning group and textbook group was significant. This result shows that G-learning has a positive effect on learning.

Recently, researches and projects of companies based on artificial intelligence have been actively carried out. Various services and systems are being grafted with artificial intelligence technology. They become more intelligent. Accordingly, interest in deep learning, one of the techniques of artificial intelligence, and people who want to learn it have increased. In order to learn deep learning, deep learning theory with a lot of knowledge such as computer programming and mathematics is required. That is a high barrier to entry to beginners. Therefore, in this study, we designed and implemented a web-based deep learning platform called DeepBlock, which enables beginners to implement basic models of deep learning such as DNN and CNN without considering programming and mathematics. The proposed DeepBlock can be used for the education of students or beginners interested in deep learning.
Recently, interest in Edu-Tech, which applies new technologies to the educational field, is growing. Edu-Tech is now being naturally used in schools, allowing both teachers and students to adapt to these changes. Particularly, there's significant attention on using Edu-Tech to bridge the educational gap through various teaching and learning strategies. This study focuses on the importance of self-directed task management by students for supplementary learning. It developed and utilized a math learning platform that enables teachers to easily provide and manage necessary tasks for students. Initially, the study developed "Sussam-MathTeacher" a problem-based learning application for middle school students, aimed at enhancing problem-solving abilities. This platform operates as a task management system, allowing teachers to assign or recommend problems to either the entire class or individual students. It aims to improve students' problem-solving abilities through a process that includes presenting necessary tasks, monitoring their own progress in solving problems, and self-assessing growth. Through this study, students demonstrated improved problem-solving skills by tackling tasks suited to their levels using "Sussam" highlighting the critical role of teachers in the digital educational environment.
J. Bernoulli first discovered the method which one can produce those formulae for the sum $S_n(k)=\sum_{{\iota}=1}^n\;{\iota}^k$ for any natural numbers k. After then, there has been increasing interest in Bernoulli and Euler numbers associated with Riemann zeta functions. Recently, Kim have been studied extended q-Bernoulli numbers and q-Euler numbers associated with p-adic q-integral on $\mathbb{Z}_p$, and sums of powers of consecutive q-integers, etc. In this paper, we investigate for the historical background and evolution process of the sums of powers of consecutive q-integers and discuss for Euler zeta functions subjects which are studying related to these areas in the recent.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and diagnose the type of errors indicated by the students in the process of calculation of the fractional multiplication and division, and to propose teaching methods, to effectively correct errors. The results obtained through this study are as follows. First, based on the results of the preliminary examination, 6 types of errors of the fractional multiplication and division has been organized. In particular, the most frequent types of errors are algorithm errors. Therefore, a teacher should explain the meaning and concept of fractional multiplication and division. Second, 4 prescription methods are proposed for understanding fractional multiplication and division. Third, according to the results of this study, it was effective to diagnose underachievers' error types and give corrective lesson according to the cause of the error types. Throughout the study, it's concluded that it is necessary to analyze and diagnose the error types of fractional multiplication and division, and then a teacher can correct error types by 4 proposed prescription methods. Also, 5 students showed interest while learning, and participated actively.

Currently, information society is rapidly changing and demands innovation and creativity in various fields. Therefore, the importance of mathematics, which can be the basis of creativity and logic, is emphasized. The purpose of this paper is to develop a math education application that can further expand the logical thinking of mathematics and allow voluntary learning to occur through the use of readily available teaching aid for children to form motivation and interest in learning. This paper provides math education applications using a smartphone and blocks for children. The main function of the application is to shoot with the camera and show the calculated values. When a child uses a block to make a formula and shoots a block using a camera, you can directly see the calculated value of your formula. The preprocessing process, text extraction, and character recognition of the photographed images have been implemented using OpenCV libraries and Tesseract-OCR libraries.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the discourse structure of teachers that can help students participate in class by using mathematical metaphors that can arouse students' interest and motivation. In order to achieve this goal, we observed a semester class of a career teacher who practiced pedagogy that connects students' experiences with mathematical concepts to motivate students to learn and promote participation. Among the metaphors that the study target teachers used in a variety of mathematical concepts and problem-solving processes during the semester, we extracted the two class examples that can help develop teaching methods using metaphors. Representatively selected two classes are one class example using metaphors and, the other class example using metaphors and expanding and applying problems. As a result of analysis, the structure of teacher discourse that uses metaphors and expands and applies problems by linking students' experiences with mathematical content was found to help solve a given problem and elaborate mathematical concepts. As a result of the analysis, the discourse structure of teachers using mathematical metaphors based on communication with students could provide implications for the development of teaching methods for the recovery of mathematics education.
