  • This study examined the effects of a tablet PC-based music-making program on the executive function of adolescents with intellectual disabilities. Four adolescents with intellectual disabilities participated in this program. Each participant received 45-minute individual sessions twice a week for a total of 16 sessions. The music-making program was designed in the sequence of planning; learning table PC operations; exploring musical elements; making rhythm, melody, and lyrics; composing loop sections; and presentation of the completed music. The Stroop test, Children's Color Trails Test, and Digit Span and Letter-Number sequencing tests were measured at pretest, midtest, and posttest in order to examine changes in executive function. The participants showed increased scores on all three tests. The participants' attention span also increased and their attempts to correct errors during tasks occurred more frequently at posttest. This study supports the effects of the technology-based program on the executive function of adolescents with intellectual disabilities and presents its expanded applicability for adolescents who show low cognitive function and limited motivation for cognitive engagement.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect on intellectual wellness between the physical and emotional wellness of the caregivers of children with disabilities and to provide the relevant data necessary for the response of the caregivers of disabled children. The study subjects were 177 caregivers of children with disabilities, and data were collected from June 2019 to November 2019. Data analysis was performed using the PROCESS macro. Independent sample t-test and one-way batch analyses were conducted to analyze the general characteristics and variables of the collected data. Through this, Scheffé's post-test was performed for variables with statistically significant differences. The relationship between variables was analyzed by Pearson correlation and hierarchical multiple accounting analyses. The results of the study indicate that the physical and intellectual wellness of the main caregivers of children with disabilities provide a direct effect on their emotional wellness as well, and that intellectual wellness provides a mediating effect between physical wellness and emotional wellness. It was found that the influence of the physical environment of children with disabilities is also important, but emotional wellness can be improved only when the main caregivers are provided with an appropriate and sufficient intellectual education. Therefore, the expansion of various educational programs for the main caregivers of children with disabilities could contribute to the improvement of their own overall wellness.

  • The purpose of this study is to argue that religious maturity is necessary for the healthy life of the aged of Korean churches in the rapidly aging society. It is also to suggest educational method for the formation and development of a positive image of God for relations with God, which is essential factor in religious maturity. To this end, this study argues that the direction and task of senior education should be religious maturity through the search for prior research on church education of senior citizens. This study also looked at the variables involved in how religious maturity affects many areas of human life. To achieve the task of religious maturity, the biblical and theological concept of maturity and religious psychological concepts of maturity are summarized, and the concept of God's image for relations with God, which is important in religious maturity, and the variables related to mature human life are examined. This study was proposed methods of church education for the formation and development of a positive image of God in order to have the right relationship with God for the religious maturity of the elderly on intellectual, emotional and behavioral levels. In the intellectual aspect, it was proposed to educate the concept of biblical and theological God and and to educate the elderly to recognize themselves as beings that need to grow and mature in order to constantly establish relationships with God. In the affective aspect, it was proposed to educate the elderly to reflect on and identify the origin and formation process of God's image and to heal their distorted God's image with an educational counseling approach. In the behavioral aspect, it was suggested to educate their roles of faith education for the next generation as parents and grandparents and to educate using educational methods that induce them to practice their relationship with God to appear in daily life.

  • It is a truism that mathematics is about relations (cf. [Halford, G. S. (1999). The properties of representations used in higher cognitive processes: Developmental implications. In: Sigel, I. E. (Ed.), The Development of Mental Representation: Theories and Applications (pp. 147-168). Mahwah, New Jersey: Erlbaum]). In this article we are considering few problems related to the Viviani's and Routh's Theorems. All Problems are connected by the relation which exists between the distances of the point inside the triangle to it sides. We show how reasoning about the relations could lead the student's problem solving process and give easy to understand solutions of the problems. Among the problems being considered are the proof of the Converse to Viviani's Theorem, the formulas for areas of all figures formed by the sides of triangle and its cevians.

  • Generating fractal images by graphing calculators such as TI_92 combines several important features, which convey the excitement of a living, changing mathematics appropriate to secondary or post-secondary students. The topic of fractal geometry can be illustrated using natural objects such as snowflakes, leaves and ferns. These complex and natural forms are often striking fantastic and beautiful. The examples highlight the fact that complex, natural behaviors can result from simple mathematical rules such as those embodied in iterated function systems(IFS). The visual splendor beauty of fractals, in concert with their ubiquity in nature, revels the intellectual beauty of nonlinear mathematics in a compelling way. The window is now open for students to experience and explore some of the wonder of fractal geometry.

  • The study investigated the continuing education program desirable for the academic librarian under digital circumstances. For this purpose the study investigated the education programs provided by the National Library of Korea, the American Library Association, and the Association of Research Libraries, and also undertook a questionnaire survey of academic librarians in Korea. As a result the study suggested user instruction, information retrieval, electronic licensing etc. as programs needed most by the academic librarians. And also suggested intellectual freedom, disaster planning, cooperation with faculty, presentation and teaching skill as desirable to be included in the continuing education program.

The digital Storytelling which effective anger to be educational of traditional Storytelling was combined with came into being in these changes. As I provide together multi-media element such as a screen and sound digital Storytelling jumps over the existing Storytelling, and to move, I easily cause an interest of student, and I stimulate intellectual faculties various of a schoolchild, and I make bidirectional enemy interaction possible. Therefore, I extract whether it is the education that it can apply on-site an elementary school of a cow in this study after analyzing digital Storytelling, and digital Storytelling designs the class that it is possible, and I will present it.

  • The 7th curricula of computer education as a general subject for secondary schools in Korea has relatively stressed on the application softwares as a learning tools. Such approach might be very successful in terms of ICT literacy education, but it is not enough to teach fundamental concepts and principles of information technologies and computer science and it has also limitation to apply such knowledge to expand students' intellectual capabilities. Therefore, in this paper we first investigates the reason of introducing computer science principle education according to IT fluency and show appropriate direction of computer education curricula for secondary schools.

  • The central proposal of this essay is that religious education in Catholic schools is to educate for living faith and not simply for instruction about Catholic or other religious traditions. For long this claim was taken for granted. Now, however, and for various reasons, there is growing sentiment that formation in faith is exclusively the work of family and parish, whereas religious education in Catholic schools is to proceed solely as an academic discipline, teaching religion as one might teach mathematics or science or any other subject. This essay proposes that we resist this diminution of religious education in Catholic schools (hereafter RECS) and precisely to honor the nature, purpose, and ways of knowing that are inherent to Christian faith, and likewise to reflect the Christian intellectual tradition.

  • Whitehead proposed that the education proceed through the rhythmic cycle on the basis of his metaphysical philosophy and educational philosophy. 'The Rhythm of Education' means that the intellectual levels of learners are elevated through the rhythmic cycles of stages of romance, precision, and generalization over and over again. As a result of these cyclic repetitions, the learners become truly free of inner prejudice. This study is to seek a method to apply Whitehead's proposition to mathematics education. I devise the curriculum constructing methods to experience Whitehead's three stages meaningfully, the teaching methods interplaying freedom and discipline rhythmically, and the teaching examples which adopt all these.
