This study aims to analyze the multicultural content of the Korean Elementary School Textbook revised in 2015. This study abstracted the framework of multicultural factors for analysis of multicultural contents from the research on "Revision Guidelines by Analysis of Multicultural Factors in Secondary Curriculum and Textbook". The analyzed textbook is the integrated winter textbooks for both the first and second grades revised curriculum in 2015. Several findings were represented as follows: first, the frequency of multicultural content displayed five times in first grade and nineteen times in second grade respectively. Second, the analyzed textbooks did not include contents directly associated with multiculturalism. Activities and experience is important in the acceptance of unfamiliar cultures Thus, multicultural contents' frequency of within textbooks is very crucial. Finally, the revised curriculum focused on activities and experiences about the theme and content in the textbook and was developed around block chassis. For teaching the textbook content, teachers must perfectly understand textbooks through teacher training. The textbooks of reflecting right values on multiculturalismIn. this respect, elementary school curriculum and textbook content should be improved by supplementary revision fitting for the growth of humanity in the multicultural era.

본 연구에서는 교과서전문도서관의 활성화를 위해 교과서전문도서관의 서비스를 통합하여 제공할 수 있는 포털사이트의 구축방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내 외 교과서전문도서관 및 포털사이트 구축 운영 관련 선행연구 관련사례를 조사 분석하였고, 이를 기반으로 설문을 개발하여 교과서 관련 정보의 이용자를 대상으로 설문을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 교과서종합목록 및 각종 콘텐츠 구축, 소장자료의 디지털화 프로젝트 수행, 교과서관련 각종 참고자료 수집 및 제공, 주제별 교과서정보 데이터베이스 구축, 교과서 관련 연구출판물의 통합수집 및 제공, 교과서 관련 기관과의 협력네트워크 구축, 포털사이트의 적극적인 홍보 등이 교과서관련 전문도서관의 활성화를 위해 요구되는 사업으로 분석되었다.

초등학교 학생들에게 컴퓨터를 지도할 때 일반적으로 컴퓨터의 기능만 가르치므로 인성 교육 부재, 창의력 제한, 자기 주도적 학습 능력 부족 등 여러 가지 문제점이 발생한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 컴퓨터의 기능을 공부하면서 인성과 창의력을 기를 수 있고, 교육과정 내용을 익힐 수 있는 주제 통합 교재의 개발이 필요하다. 주제통합교재는 기능교육을 위해 교육과정을 접목하는 방법과 교육과정의 문제를 해결하기 위한 도구로 기능을 익히는 방법이 있다. 이에 맞추어 전자는 운영체제인 '윈도우 98'의 내용을 주제별로 나누어 각 주제에 맞는 인성 요소, 창의적인 요소, 그리고 교육과정 내용을 추출하여 구성을 하고, 후자는 '한글97'을 내용으로 교육과정에서 주제를 추출하여 '한글97'로 해결하는 과정으로 구성하였다. 또한 웹의 동적인 특징을 살려 상호작용이 가능한 주제 통합 교재를 개발함으로써 웹만이 갖고 있는 장점을 살려 학습할 수 있게 하였다.

The purpose of this study was to grasp the characteristics of composition regarding the material-centered integrated unit of environmental and natural studies, a science subject in Finland, to investigate a need for applying the material-centered integrated unit to the science curriculum of Korea. For the purpose, the study made an analysis on contents, inquiry activities, and visual materials (the most important in the elementary science curriculum and textbook composition), and it brought following results: First, as a result of analyzing the area of contents, the bicycle material-centered integrated unit comprised a large proportion of 44 pages (25.3%) of the whole 174 pages from the environmental and natural studies textbook for the third grade. The contents included such various concepts as traffic rules, safety, environmental protection and pollution, recycling and separate collection, tubes and triangular structures, wedges and screws, leverage, wheels, axles, gears, elasticity (spring), friction, and so on. Second, as a result of analyzing contents related to the thinking ability of inquiry activities, "expecting or confirming expectations" and "application" are included in every lesson, and one lesson is composed in such a way that students can study on bicycles as a practical material for their daily life and they can improve various thinking abilities. Third, as a result of analyzing the circumstances of inquiry activities, daily circumstances made up eight lessons (80.0%) and technical and social circumstances made up two lessons (20.0%) by focusing on bicycles, a material related to students' daily life. Fourth, as a result of analyzing visual materials, the percentage of pictures and photos was high at 53.4% and 45.2% respectively. As a result of analyzing the role of visual materials, the percentage of the illustrative role and explanatory-complementary role was high at 52.1% and 47.9% respectively. Lastly, as a result of analyzing from the epistemological view to interpret the relation between visual materials and students and the position of visual materials, the visual textbook materials were provided toward a way that students can decrease their feeling of epistemological separation in the three fields of ideational metafunction, interpersonal metafunction, and textual metafunction.

This study aims to explore the direction of high school statistics education in Korea through a comparative analysis between the revised 2022 Korea mathematics curriculum and the IBDP Mathematics: Application & Interpretation Standard Level (IBDP AI SL) Curriculum and textbooks. The study seeks to investigate the Statistics unit of the two curricula, compare chapter structures and content elements of textbooks, and explore exercises on modeling and utilization of technology tools. The results are as follows: First, the IBDP AI SL statistics covered a broader range of topics. Second, exercises in Korean high school textbooks typically inquire about one or two questions in each topic, whereas the IBDP AI SL textbook's exercises present a real-life scenario on all relevant topics through sub-questions. Third, the Korean textbook guides the utilization of technology tools only in exercises presented after completing the entire chapter or where the calculation is complex. Also, there were only a handful of modeling exercises in the Korean textbook in contrast to most of the lessons and exercises were modeling exercises in the IBDP AI SL textbook. If these findings can be integrated into teaching practices in Korea, it will provide a direction for statistics education in Korean high schools.

The purpose of this study was to analyze elementary school students' attitudes through field-experience teaming activities program for the integrated textbook on the environment issues. This study was conducted after implementing the field environmental education for fifth graders with the teaching-teaming plan applied to the field education and was based on the analysis of environment-related education for the fifth graders. A total of 64 elementary students, 32 in the experimental group and 342 in the control group, were involved in this study. The study used the instrument consisting of 36 Likert-type questions on attitudes toward environment. After going over the influences of the field environmental education program on the students, we found out the positive development in the pre-test and post-test, concerning all environmental themes, especially in the field of protection of animals, environmental pollution, and environment in general.

본 연구의 목적은 2022 개정 과학과 교육과정에 의한 통합과학 교과서를 개발하는 저자들이 교육과정을 이해하고 적용하는 과정에서 느낀 고민과 어려움을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 교육과정에 제시된 용어 및 서술어의 이해, 학습 내용의 구성, 탐구 및 활동, 학습내용의 수준과 범위 등으로 범주로 교과서 저자들의 의견 89개를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 교과서 저자들은 학습 내용의 수준과 범위를 정하는데 가장 많은 어려움을 나타내었다. 그리고 용어와 서술어의 중의적 표현과 모호함에 대해 많은 고민과 어려움을 나타내었다. 학습 내용의 구성 측면에서는 성취기준의 반복적 기술, 성취기준의 배열 순서가 학습의 흐름과 일치하지 않은 점과 관련한 어려움이 제시되었으며, 탐구 및 활동과 관련해서는 체험하거나 실제 구현하기 어려운 탐구 활동 제시, 학습량 적정화에 따른 활동 구성의 제약 등과 관련하여 교과서 집필의 어려움이 제시되었다. 국가적으로 양질의 교과서 개발은 양질의 과학 교육을 위해 필요하기 때문에, 교육과정 개발 주체와 교과서 저자와의 교육과정 이해를 위한 소통이 필요하며, 교과서 개발을 위한 지원 체제가 요구된다

The purpose of this study is to investigate how elementary school student understands or students understand the illustrations on the phase change of the Moon in science textbook and to find out how textbook illustration helps students form the conception of the phase change of the Moon. To identify this purpose, we selected illustrations on the phase change of the Moon in the science textbook revised in 2007 and 2009 revised science textbook. For this study we selected and interviewed 20 students in the fifth grade. We integrated all data collected through interviews and created a transcription and a protocol and then, confirmed scientific conceptions related to the phase change of the Moon in students' illustration reading. The result are as followings: First, students read more scientific conceptions related to the phase change of the Moon in illustration of the 2009 revised science textbook which is presented with the universal observer's view point and the earth observer's view point. Second, students who find meaning in the various elements of the illustration and interpret with the integration of the various elements, get a lot of relevant information from illustration. All students have no differences recognizing the elements presented in illustration. But there are differences of contents of illustration reading depending on how students interpret the illustrations with integration of the various elements and if students cannot figure out the four scientific concepts needed to understand the phase change of the Moon, they ignore the information provided by illustration or analysis in their own way according to information provided by illustration. So misconception appears in this process.

The purpose of this study is to provide implications for improvement of mathematics textbook based on discursive approach to textbook analysis that complementarily combines a communicational approach to cognition and social semiotics. For this purpose, we reconstructed an analytic framework for discursive approach to written discourses of Korean textbook and CMP, and applied it to our analysis. Results show that several characteristics in meanings were developed by the use of words and visual mediators. First, in the case of ideational meaning, there were qualitative and quantitative differences between vocabularies used and between information addressed by visual mediators. Second, in the case of structural meaning, an offer and application of procedure was emphasized in a Korean textbook, whereas expectation and selection experiences of diverse possibilities for problem solving was underlined in CMP. In the case interpersonal meaning of student-author, imperative instructions were paid attentions in a Korean textbook. In contrast, students' interdependence and active participation were stressed in CMP. Therefore, this study addressed ideas about how to analyze mathematics textbooks based on integrated meanings developed by the use of words and visual mediators. In addition, it distributes implications for improvements of Korean mathematics textbooks through the analytic framework of both mathematical meanings and interpersonal meanings of student-author.

본 연구의 목적은 2015 개정 교육과정으로 개발된 고등학교 교과서의 읽기자료 특성을 조사하여 향후 독서교육 발전 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국어, 수학, 영어, 통합과학, 통합사회 주요 교과를 대상으로 고등학교 교과서의 읽기자료를 분석하였고, 읽기자료의 분석 기준은 주제 유형, 목적, 학생 활동이었다. 연구 결과, 고등학교 통합사회와 통합과학 교과서에는 인간, 자유, 문화, 환경, 지구 등 다양한 주제의 읽기자료가 각 단원의 개념과 연관되어 제시되고 있었다. 특히 국어교과는 한단원에만 '한 학기에 한권의 책 읽기'라는 단원이 신설되어 있었다. 그러나 대부분 읽기자료가 효과적인 독서 전략이나 독서 방향에 대한 안내가 없으며, 읽기자료의 양이 부족하고 확장적 독서를 위한 자료나 정보가 부족함을 알 수 있었다. 교과서의 읽기자료가 각 단원의 학습 내용을 단순하게 보충하거나 개념 이해를 위한 단편적인 단서로만 제시되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 교과의 읽기자료 제시가 나열식으로 단순하게 전개되어 있으며, 읽기자료가 학생들의 독서 흥미, 독서의 내면화 그리고 독서 확장을 위한 도구로는 미흡함을 알 수 있었다. 본 논문은 고등학교 교과서의 확장을 위한 읽기자료의 보조 자료를 제안하고, 교과서 구성 측면과 수업 방법 측면에 대한 제안을 통해 교과서와 독서교육의 발전적 관계를 모색해보았다.
