  • This study investigated the perceptions and the characteristics of elementary teachers on teaching science-arts integrated activities. Twelve elementary teachers who have taught in the third to sixth grade science lessons participated in this study. Data was collected by individual interviews lasting 60 to 90 minutes. Interview questions were composed of three aspects: 1) how elementary teachers perceive science-arts integrated activities, 2) in what ways elementary teachers address science-arts integrated activities, and 3) what difficulties elementary teachers experienced in addressing science-arts integrated activities. The results showed that, first, elementary teachers agreed that science-arts integrated activities have educational value in science learning. Second, most teachers focused on improving understanding of science knowledge through teaching science-arts integrated activities, while several teachers put emphasis on having experience of arts as well as understanding of science knowledge. And third, teachers experienced difficulties due to insufficient teaching materials and time to prepare for teaching science-arts integrated activities. Based on the results, we suggested educational implications for utilization of science-arts integrated activities in elementary education.

  • In order to investigate the effects on school age children's emotional intelligence and happiness from the perspective of Korean medicine, integrated arts therapy was conducted for children participating in the Education Welfare Priority Support Project. This study randomly assigned 20 children with educational welfare priority to 10 students in the experimental group and 10 students in the control group. The experimental group conducted an integrated arts therapy program once a week for a total of 12 sessions at S Elementary School in Busan, and the control group maintained their daily lives. For statistical analysis, the Mann-Whitney U test was used to test the homogeneity of the two groups, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to analyze the pre- and post-program figures. The integrated arts therapy program had a significant effects on the emotional intelligence and well-being of children receiving Education Welfare Priority Support. Integrated arts therapy, which is part of Korean medicine's mind-body medicine intervention, is an organic relationship in which the body and mind are interdependent, and maintains a state of balance between yin and yang opposition, which has a positive effects on children's emotional intelligence and well-being.

  • The study is to analyze the success strategies of the Cooperative Integrated Arts Activities in Seoul and to explore ways to implement it to the local public school. According to research, Cooperative Integrated Arts Activities fulfill the purpose of providing universal arts education by being implemented in the school curriculum. They are also characterized by active administrative and financial support and interactive participatory arts education with assured diversity. Therefore, when applying to a local public school, it is necessary to consider factors such as active administrative support, sustainable allocation of human and material resources, customized arts education that engages the all students and reflects their unique characteristics, social distribution through sharing, and continuous monitoring.

  • The purpose of this research are to develop patterns for integrated culture and arts education program in libraries. In order to conduct the research, I analyzed the status of the culture and arts education programs in domestic and U.S. libraries. The basic aim of the culture and arts education program in libraries is based on a nature of the library. I presented the patterns of a integrated culture and arts education programs (experience-understanding-communication). Also, I presented a various culture and arts education programs in based cultural facilities of a region.

  • In this paper, we consider the stabilization problem of nonstandard singularly perturbed systems by using state feedback. Different fro the existing sequenetial designn procedures, we propose a parallel design method to construct the stabilizing controller. The method involves solving two completely independent algebraic Riccati equations.

  • Objectives: This study explored the effectiveness and feasibility of an integrated arts therapy program for improving the mental health of patients with mental disorders. Methods: Thirty patients with mental disorders undergoing outpatient treatment at rehabilitation facilities were randomly assigned to either an intervention group, which received 10 integrated arts therapy sessions (once weekly), or a waitlist control group. Self-efficacy, the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, the Beck Depression Inventory-II, and the Core Seven Emotions Inventory-Short Form were administered pre-intervention, post-intervention, and at a four-week follow-up. Participants were also asked to describe their subjective experiences and feelings in program satisfaction surveys conducted post-intervention. Results: The intervention group exhibited significantly lower scores for state and trait anxieties (p<0.01) compared to the control group. There was a significant increase in joy (喜) after the intervention (p<0.01) and at follow-up (p<0.05). Conversely, sorrow (悲) decreased significantly after the intervention (p<0.01) and at follow-up (p<0.01). Thought (思) (p<0.05), depression (憂) (p<0.05), and fear (恐) (p<0.05) exhibited a notable decline at follow-up in the intervention group, in contrast to the control group. The results of the subjective surveys indicated that participants reported favorable physical, emotional, and cognitive changes. Conclusions: This study suggests that integrated arts therapy may be a feasible and effective intervention for improving self-confidence and positive emotions, while alleviating anxiety and negative emotions in patients with mental disorders. These results can inform the design of future large-scale trials.

  • In this study, it was intended to explore a way to build a DB which links the resources and areas and regions already registered as cultural assets in connection with a project which is newly building local culture and arts resources. Towards this end, this study first identified the type and scale of existing local culture and arts resources that could be linked. Following which, to link the local cultural resources and collected cultural assets, this study investigated the websites such as the Cultural Heritage Administration's National Cultural Heritage Portal, municipal and provincial tangible cultural festivals, municipal and provincial intangible cultural assets, and Gyeonggi Memory. Furthermore, this study identified the amount of information sources to be built and the current status of each information source to identify detailed information sources. Finally, the metadata of local culture and arts resources were presented by classifying them into material and publication data metadata, document metadata, audiovisual metadata, oral recording metadata, village information metadata, and personal information village information metadata.

  • This paper is concerned with the problem of robust stabilization of uncertain single-input and single-output nonlinear systems. Based on the input/output linearization approach for nonlinear state feedback synthesis in conjunction with Lyapunov methods, a stabilizing state feedback controller is proposed. Compared with the controllers reported in the control literature, instead of uniform ultimate boudedness, the controller proposed in this paper can guarantee uniform asymptotic stability of nonlinear systems in the presence of uncertainties. The required information about uncertain dynamics in the system is only that the uncertainties are bounded in Euclidean norm by known functions of the system state.

  • This paper deals with the BK-AK property of the integrated rate space ${\int}{\ell}_{\pi}$. Importance of ${\delta}^{(k)}$ in this content is pointed out. We investigate a determining set for the integrated rate space ${\int}{\ell}_{\pi}$. The set of all infinite matrices transforming ${\int}{\ell}_{\pi}$, into BK-AK space Y is denoted $({\int}{\ell}_{\pi}:\;Y)$. We characterize the classes $({\int}{\ell}_{\pi}:\;Y)$. When $Y={\ell}_{\infty},\;c_0,\;c,\;{\ell}^p,\;bv,\;bv_0,\;bs,\;cs,\;{\ell}_p,\;{\ell}_{\pi}$. In summary we have the following table:
