LabView 기반 부분방전 분석장치의 설계 및 제작 (Design and Fabrication of a LabView Based Partial Discharge Analyzer)

  • This paper dealt with the fabrication of a partial discharge (PD) analyzer for insulation diagnosis of power facilities like transformers, cables and gas-insulated switchgears. An analytic algorithm for the phase (${\phi}$), the magnitude (q), and the pulse count (n) of PD pulse was designed and a time-frequency (TF) map algorithm was applied in the system to eliminate noises by analyzing the time and the frequency component of signals. All the algorithms were operated by a LabView graphical program. The detection circuit consists of a coupling capacitor, a detection impedance, and a low noise amplifier. A plane-plane and a point-plane electrode system were fabricated to simulate different types of insulation defects. In the experiment, we could easily understand the characteristics of PD pulses using the prototype PD analyzer.

  • 본 논문에서는 유침절연에 대한 열열화와 전기적열화 실험을 실시하여 유중가스분석법을 이용한 유침절연의 고장원인 진단에 대한 신뢰성을 향상시키는 방안에 대하여 연구하였다. 유침절연의 고장원인에 대하여 주도가스법과 탄화수소가스의 구성률, CO/$CO_2$비와 같은 진단요소를 단독으로 사용하는 것보다는 진단요소들의 상호관계를 이용하는 것이 유침절연의 고장원인을 신뢰성 있게 진단하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The generator on-line diagnosis system has been developed. This system monitor the insulation condition of stator winding by on-line measurements of partial discharge and the shorted-turn condition of rotor winding by on-line measurements of slot leakage flux. Sensor, such as SSC(Stator Slot Coupler) and flux probe are used for generator on-line diagnosis.

  • The preventive diagnosis technique for power system is being highlighted as a research area for deterioration of insulation in machinery because of high-voltage power system. We make efforts to develop not only diagnosis of aging state but also detection of defects in the initial stage from preventive diagnosis technique. Especially, partial discharge is actively studied as a non-destructive diagnosis technique and very useful because partial discharge measurement reduces damage than conventional diagnosis technique. The loaded stress during this test is smaller than that of other diagnosis techniques. But the continuous research for various complicated analysis method is required because partial discharge has very small signals and its signals have complex forms. In this paper, the measurement of partial discharge was investigated and studied on many specimens with void. We made samples having artificial voids and measured partial discharge. In order to use as a practical diagnosis technique, we studied ways of measurement, measured illustrations and types of partial discharge which could be used in order to diagnose defects of power machinery.

  • When faults occur in the power equipment that is used a great deal in industrial sites, it may lead to fatal accidents that cause losses both economically and in manpower. In this paper, the effect of particle impact on the partial discharge of $SF_6$ gas was measured by simulating a partial discharge following the type of fault found in the GIS using $SF_6$ insulating gas as the insulating material. A spectrum analysis was performed on the radiate electromagnetic waves emitted upon partial discharge by using the UHF insulation diagnosis method. This subject of this study is insulation diagnosis by the measurement of radiate electromagnetic waves when particles exist in the GIS and power equipment insulated with $SF_6$ gas.

  • This paper offer fundamental ones about insulation diagnosis with electromagnetic wave, when discharges occurred. To simulate Partial-Discharge(PD), It is used needle-plane electrode in air. As the voltages applied, measure the electromagnetic wave with monopole antenna and analysis its fundamental characteristics, then, acquired data were operated. The results presented as the form of graph, and the magnitude of charge when occurred PD simultaneously. In conclusion, when the magnitude of charge over 100[pC], the electric field strength changed, and then the magnitude of charge and the electric field strength increased samely.

  • This paper offer fundamental materials about Partial Discharge(PD) detection by electromagnetic waves. All spectrum data-usually used as grape- can be used as numbers. And then the average of background noise spectrum strength was made. Average value subtract from every data. Then average value appeared, graphed. The graph was compared with the magnitude of charge. The shape of changes is similar, and the change of electric field strength could be seen in one sight. When the magnitude of charge is over than 100[pC], antenna can detect partial discharge. So this method will be very useful to diagnosis of insulation. It the performance of the antenna used in this experiment is analyzed, good results can be obtained.

  • In this work, the correlation between the PD Patterns and the electrical tree propagation has been investigated by use of the specimen removed from the insulation of the real 154 kV XLPE underground power cables. As a result, it could be deduced that the PD pattern regarding electrical trees depends on their type which could be classified into three different distinct groups such as branch-bush mixed. Considering the results of our investigation, if the partial discharge magnitude is only considered for the diagnosis of the cable system, it is possible to draw a wrong decision. Therefore, it is possible to propose that the time characteristics of PD pattern should be taken into account for the diagnosis of the cable system in addition to the conventional $\Phi$-q-n characteristics.

  • Recently many research activities on the diagnosis of stator winding insulation of large rotating machines have been reported. Capacitive couplers are widely used as sensors for on-line partial discharge (PD) measurement of high voltage rotating machines. This paper presents laboratory test to compare Stator Slot Coupler (SSC), Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD), 80 [pF] coupler and 500 [pF] coupler for on-line PD measurement of rotating machines.

  • In this paper, a novel monitoring system, data acquisition & diagnosis unit (DADU), for high-voltage rotating machines is proposed. This system monitors the insulation condition, current, voltage, vibration, and temperature of the stator winding by on-line measurements of partial discharge (PD), flux, etc. This helps more efficient operation and maintenance of the rotating machines.
