Collaboration Scripts for Argumentation Based on Activity Theory

  • The purpose of this study is to develop collaboration scripts as an instructional means to facilitate argumentation in computer-supported collaborative learning, and to analyze their effects. To develop collaboration scripts for argumentation, researchers used activity theory as a conceptual framework and refined the design principles by design-based research. Using LAMS, collaboration scripts for argumentation were developed based on the ArgueGraph. To examine their effects, 72 participants were divided into two groups by internal scripts and randomly allocated to one of three external scripts. Applying mixed methods, researchers analyzed argumentation competence related to the cognitive aspect, examined self-efficacy related to the motivational aspect, and identified the factors influencing collaborative learning processes and outcomes. Researchers found that the internal script is a critical factor to determine the dimensions, degrees, and duration of improvement in argumentation competence. That is, learners with higher internal scripts improved highly in the quality of single arguments, while learners with lower internal scripts improved continuously in the quality of argumentation sequences. The effects of the external scripts varied with the internal script levels and supporting periods. Besides, collaboration scripts for argumentation had positive effects on learners' self-efficacy, and learners with higher internal scripts had better self-efficacy. The factors influencing collaborative learning processes and outcomes showed different results depending on the learning context. Therefore, when scripting learner's interaction in CSCL, researchers should design the scripts adaptable to a natural context of activities.

학습분석 기반 교수자 피드백 제공을 위한 대시보드 설계 (The Design of Dashboard for Instructor Feedback Support Based on Learning Analytics)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학습분석 기반 교수자 피드백 제공을 위해 LMS(Learning Management System) 대시보드를 설계하여 교수자 관점에서 개별 학습자의 학습 수행 정보를 직관적으로 이해할 수 있도록 하고, 학습자별로 추천된 피드백을 교수자가 유용하게 활용하고자 하는 것이다. 이 대시보드는 교수자 피드백 분류체계표에서 적용된 LMS의 교육적 활용 데이터를 근거로 설계되었다. 총 2회에 걸쳐 8년 이상의 경력을 가진 교육공학 전문가 8인을 대상으로 대시보드 설계 전반에 대해 타당화 검사를 실시하여 수정하였다. 연구의 결과로 설계된 최종 대시보드 화면은 종합분석 대시보드, 학습자분석 요약 대시보드, 추천 피드백 안내 대시보드로서 크게 3부분이 있고, 그에 따른 세부적인 분석 정보를 각각 제공하는 로그인 분석 대시보드, 학습정보확인 분석 대시보드, 강의자료학습 분석 대시보드, 과제/시험 분석 대시보드, 게시글 분석 대시보드 화면으로 총 8개의 대시보드로 구성된다. 모든 대시보드는 선행 연구에 근거하여 학습분석학 기반의 분석 정보 및 데이터에 따라 적합한 그래프 유형 및 표로 시각화 기법을 통해 적용되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 기반으로 교수자 피드백 제공을 위한 대시보드의 활용에 관한 시사점과 향후 연구과제에 대한 방안을 제시하였다.

체계적인 학습자 중심의 교수법 모델 개발 및 구현 - H 대학을 중심으로 - (Design and Implementation of a Systemic Learner-centered Teaching Method Model - Focusing on H University -)

  • 본 연구는 대학교육에 있어서 학습자 중심의 수업을 운영할 수 있는 교수법을 개인이 아닌 대학 전체의 수업운영에 적용할 수 있는 수업모델을 개발 및 구현하고자 하였다. 수업모델개발은 선행연구 분석, 전문가 검토, 수업모델과 설계원리 도출, 시범운영, 1차 설문분석, 모델 및 설계 전략 수정, 그리고 2차 설문분석을 통해 최종 모델을 도출하였다. Shift_N+1수업은 6개의 모델이며 각 모델은 크게 3가지의 파트로 구분된다. 동영상을 활용한 사전학습, 핵심내용에 대한 질의응답 및 심화학습을 하는 대면 수업, 그리고 학생 개별 피드백 및 과정평가이다. 이를 매주 시행할 수 있도록 자체 전산시스템을 구축하였다. 대학의 모든 수업에 학습자 중심의 교육과정을 적용할 수 있는 교수법 모델을 표준화하였다. Shift_N+1교수법은 교과목의 특성을 반영하여 학습자 중심의 학습효과를 최대화하고, 주차별 학생들의 성취도를 파악하여 교육의 질을 향상시키고자 한다.

백워드 수업설계에 기초한 고등학교 「기술·가정」교과 '가족생활 설계' 영역의 체제적 수업개발 (Systematic Development of Instruction for Family Life Planning of High School Curriculum for Technology and Home Economics Based on Backward Design)

  • This study devised an instruction that applies the content factors of Family Life Planning to backward design by exploring the fundamental concepts of backward design and the structure of developing a systematic instruction. Furthermore, it was conducted to improve the developed instruction by examining its validity with the help of experts and to find the method of applying it to the curriculum. The lesson design of this study was as follows. 1) Making a unit outline, 2) Identifying the expected results (Shaping the objectives), 3) Deciding acceptable evidence (Planning evaluation), 4) Making a detailed blueprint for class tasks, 5) Planning learning experience, 6) Making a learning experience plan per time, 7) Checking the lesson design. Second, experts participated in this study for the internal validity test about the process of the systematic lesson development of Family Life Design based on a backward design. The results were shown to be valid because the average was 3.7 out of a perfect score 4 and the CVI of all was over 0.9. The result of the IRA was also score 1, meaning that most of the experts agreed on the results of the test. The details of the lesson design were clear at every stage and the tasks and the results of each stage were specific. This study included most of the necessary stages for a backward design.

가정교과 수업 적용을 위한 백워드 디자인의 템플릿 재구조화 (Template Restructuring of Backward design for Home Economics Instruction)

  • 이 연구는 Wiggins와 McTighe(2011)의 2.0버전의 템플릿을 가정과 수업을 위한 템플릿으로 수정, 보완하여 재구조화하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 백워드 디자인의 주창자인 Wiggins와 McTighe의 이론을 고찰하고, Wiggins와 McTighe(2011)의 2.0버전의 템플릿을 고찰하였다. 또 백워드 디자인을 활용한 다양한 선행 연구를 분석하여 가정과 수업에 백워드 디자인을 적용하기 위한 템플릿 재구조화를 위한 시사점을 도출하였다. 또 전문가 협의회를 통한 안면타당도를 통해 템플릿의 타당도를 검증받았다. 이러한 과정을 거쳐, 1. 교육과정 분석, 2. 수업설계(학습경험 디자인↔평가설계), 3. 수업 흐름, 4. 각 차시별 수업 안내, 5. 평가기록 및 피드백의 총 5단계로 재구조화한 가정과 템플릿을 개발하였다. 이 연구에서 재구조화한 가정과 템플릿을 활용하여 2015 개정 교육과정의 가정과교육 영역의 수업 자료를 개발하여 학습자의 역량 함양에 기여하는 교수·학습의 개선이 지속적으로 확대되어 가야 할 것이다. 추후 연구에서는 백워드 디자인 적용의 가정과 수업이 학습자에게 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 대한 학교 현장 연구가 추진되어야 할 것이다.

산후출혈 산모 간호 시뮬레이션 교육 프로그램의 효과 (Simulation-based education program on postpartum hemorrhage for nursing students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a simulation-based postpartum care education program for women with postpartum hemorrhage and to verify the effects of the program on postpartum care. Methods: This program was developed according to the ADDIE model of instructional system design, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. This quasi-experimental study used a non-equivalent control group pre- and post-test design, and data were collected from April 23 to May 4, 2015. To verify the effects of the program, 33 nursing students in the experimental group participated in a simulation program, whereas 31 students in the control group were given a case study. Results: The experimental group had statistically significantly higher scores for clinical performance (t=-4.80, p<.001), clinical judgment (t=-4.14, p<.001), and learning satisfaction (t=-10.45, p<.001) than the control group. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the simulation-based postpartum care education program for women with postpartum hemorrhage was effective for developing students' competency, implying that a similar program should be integrated into the clinical training component of the maternal nursing curriculum.

일반계고의 창의공학설계 수업을 위한 아두이노 기반 STEAM 수업자료 개발과 적용 (Development of STEAM Instructional Materials using Arduino for Creative Engineering Design Class in High Schools and Its Application)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop the Arduino based STEAM instruction materials for creative engineering design class. PDIE model was used in this study. We developed a STEAM lesson plan and a STEAM lesson worksheet for a total of six sessions through the steps of preparation, development, implementation and evaluation. The validity of the instruction materials was evaluated by the 10 experts using a survey. The instruction materials were applied to the class (52 students attended) of the creative engineering designs unit in technology and home economics subject. The class satisfaction and the creative solving-problem ability were examined after the calss. The class satafacition was high as the average of 10 item was 4.57 (out of 5). The paired t-test was conducted to compare the means of the creative solving-problem ability. It was observed that 'understanding and mastery of knowledge, thought, function and skills in a specific domain', 'divergent thinking', 'critical and logical thinking' and ' motivational factors' were significantly increased after the class. The instruction materials develped in this study were successfully designed to enhance the creative solving-problem ability by designing creative tasks and to intrique the interest by adding visual and auditory stimuli with the Arduino.

과학 CAI 프로그램의 유형 분석 (A study on analysis of CAI program type for the science CAI programs developed by KEDI and teachers in KOREA)

  • This study is aimed at categorizing the CAl programs through analyzing the 82 science CAl programs developed by KEDI( Korean Educational Development Institutes ) and the 19 science CAl programs developed by the teachers who won the prizes in the first national educational software contest. The findings are as follows. 1) The main types of science CAl programs developed by KEDI are hybrid design type of tutorials and simulations, tutorials, and hybrid design type of instructional games and drill and practice. The other type of programs are very few. 2) The main types of science CAl programs developed by the teachers, who won the prizes in 1st educational software contest, are tutorials and hybrid design type of tutorials and simulations. There is no other type of programs except only two simulation type programs. 3) The science CAl programs developed by KEDI as well as by teachers who won the prizes in the contest are biased in two or three types, and the trend is severe in the programs developed by the teachers.

A Study on Design and Implementation of the Ubiquitous Computing Environment-based Dynamic Smart On/Off-line Learner Tracking System

  • In order to provide a tailored education for learners within the ubiquitous environment, it is critical to undertake an analysis of the learning activities of learners. For this purpose, SCORM (Sharable Contents Object Reference Model), IMS LD (Instructional Management System Learning Design) and other standards provide learning design support functions, such as, progress checks. However, in order to apply these types of standards, contents packaging is required, and due to the complicated standard dimensions, the facilitation level is lower than the work volume when developing the contents and this requires additional work when revision becomes necessary. In addition, since the learning results are managed by the server there is the problem of the OS being unable to save data when the network is cut off. In this study, a system is realized to manage the actions of learners through the event interception of a web-browser by using event hooking. Through this technique, all HTMLbased contents can be facilitated again without additional work and saving and analysis of learning results are available to improve the problems following the application of standards. Furthermore, the ubiquitous learning environment can be supported by tracking down learning results when the network is cut off.

보건학 전공 대학생 대상 금연교육 프로그램 개발 (Development of Smoking Cessation Education Program for University Students Majoring in Health Sciences)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to develop a smoking cessation education program and to provide basic data for evaluating program for university students majoring in health sciences. Methods: The education program was developed based on the instructional system design model(ADDIE), that was based on literature review, brainstorming, and interviews of related experts. Education program was implemented for 2 sessions of 3 hours to the 82 university students majoring in health science. Knowledge, competency, and self-efficacy for performance of smoking cessation were analyzed. One group pre- & post-test design was used for evaluation of this program. Results: In the analysis stage, a total of 5 duties, 16 tasks, and 55 task elements were derived. In the design and development stage, based on job analysis, education program contents were composed of understanding tobacco, planning and implementation of smoking cessation program, smoking cessation counseling and drug treatment. After this education program, students achieved remarkable improvement in increasing knowledge, competency, and self-efficacy for smoking cessation counselling and program. Conclusions: It is needed to be included the smoking cessation education in department related to health science regular course.
