공업계 고등학교 수업에서 팀 기반 학습모형 적용에 관한 형성적 연구 (Formative Research on Team-Based Learning Model in a Technical High School Class)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 팀 기반 학습모형을 활용한 수업에 참여한 공업계 고등학교 학습자와 교사를 대상으로, 형성적 연구방법론을 활용하여 모형의 강점, 약점, 개선점을 도출하고 이를 통해 모형의 타당성과 통용 가능성을 제고하는 것이다. 팀 기반학습모형은 문제 상황 속에서 학습자 개인의 선행학습과 팀 구성원 간 상호작용을 통해 개인과 팀의 성과를 극대화하기 위한 구조화된 교육방법이다. 이 모형의 개선과 보완을 위해 형성적 연구방법론을 적용하였고, 분석결과, 모형의 강점으로 학습자의 동기와 흥미 유발, 학습자 특성을 반영한 교육 가능, 선행학습을 통한 자신감향상, 반복학습을 통한 개념 이해 등을 파악하였다. 한편 모형의 약점을 보완하기 위한 방안으로 현실적인 교과내용과 방법 편성에 있어서의 한계 극복, 현장감을 높이는 문제은행 확보 필요, 실습 기자재 확충 필요, 학습자의 사전지식과 경험을 고려한 토론 주제 발굴, 구체적인 팀별 활동과 역할 부여 필요 등을 제시하였으며, 개선점으로는 합리적인 팀 구성, 발표 기회의 공정성, 적극적인 참여 독려, 학습자의 선수지식과 태도를 고려한 수준별 학습 계획, 주요한 개념 사전 안내 및 토론 주제선별 등을 제시하였다. 최종적으로 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 향후 공업계 고등학교에서 적용 가능한 팀 기반 학습모형과 운영방안에 대해 제안하였다.

초등학교 보건 교육에서 설명식 수업과 탐구식 수업이 학습 태도 및 학업 성취도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Expository and Inquiry Instruction on Learning Attitude and Academic Achievement of Health Education in Elementary School)

  • This Study attempts to verify the effects of expository and inquiry instruction on learning attitude and academic achievement of health education in elementary school. For the accomplishment of the above purpose, specific problems were formulated as follows: The expository instruction is based on David Ausubel’s Advance Organizers and the inquiry instruction, Richard Suchman’s Inquiry Training in this study. To testify the above research problems, 247 students of six classes were randomly sampled from sixth graders of “Y” elementary school, located in Suwon city. One group was taught by expository instruction method and other group was taught by inquiry instruction method. The measurement tools used in this study were learning attitude test, pre-post academic achievement test, expository teaching-learning sheets and inquiry teaching-learning sheets. The experimental treatments had been lasted for eight weeks from June to October 1996. After the experimental treatments, to testify the effects of the experiment, the pre-test and post-test were administered and the results of the tests were compared by t-test. The conclusions were as follows; 1. There was a significant difference between expository and inquiry instruction(p〈.001). Inquiry instruction was more effective than expository instruction in changing learning attitude. 2. There was a significant difference between expository and inquiry instruction(p〈.001). expository instruction was more effective than Inquiry instruction in changing academic achievement. This study suggests that instructional method should be determined in accordance with the purpose of the lesson.

유아의 한국어 어휘학습용 어플리케이션 분석: 태블릿 PC 어플리케이션을 중심으로 (Analysis of Applications for Preschoolers' Korean Vocabulary Learning: Focusing on Tablet PC Applications)

  • This study evaluated the content of Korean vocabulary learning applications with a focus on tablet PC applications. We analyzed 51 Korean vocabulary learning applications. The instruments in this study were developed based on Yoo et al. (2012)' Vocabulary Learning Game Application Evaluation Criteria and Hyun et al. (2013)' Educational Application Evaluation Criteria. Data were analyzed using a t-test and one-way analysis of variance. The main results are as follows. First, each criteria's score was fairly good; the ease of use had the highest scores and the amusement had the lowest scores. Second, there was a significant difference in the interaction by vocabulary teaching approach. Applications based on a whole language-teaching method had higher scores than applications based on a phonics instructional teaching method inducing more operation and with immediate feedback. Third, there was significant difference in the sum of score and each criteria of developmental appropriateness, educational values, amusement, function and interaction by type of learning. Applications of combining type had higher scores in every criteria except for ease of use than applications of description type. These findings provide a preliminary evidence that the systematic Korean vocabulary learning application facilitates preschoolers' vocabulary learning.

위치기반 서비스를 이용한 중학교 체육교과 웹기반학습 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Web-based Instructional System by using Location based Service for Physical Education at Middle School)

  • The aim of this study is to show that using a Web-Based Instruction system is a better method to help counteract deficient teaching, learning conditions and facilities thus improving the students' interest, understanding, participation and skill development in Physical Education. The key findings of this study are as follows; The first advantage of using this system is that the theory of Softball is explained with the use of pictures rather than text, thus improving the students' understanding. The second is the method in which practical skills are explained and demonstrated. Action image sequences are used as opposed to the old method of using stationary pictures. This means that the learners can clearly see and understand why and, more importantly, how to use these skills. The third advantage is the technique used to teach the application of these skills. Using active rather than passive learning and thus engaging the student encourages improved participation and learning. The fourth advantage comes in evaluation: both subjective and objective questions are asked in theoretical evaluation, and the teachers can evaluate the students' understanding and skill development by filming their actual Softball games.   • 컴퓨터와 다양한 매체의 발달에 따라다양한 학습 방법이 제시되고 있다. 그중 e-learning등의 방법에 의해 다양한 분야에서 많은 강의가 이루어지고 있다. 수학 교육에서도 컴퓨터 대수 시스템인 Mathematica와 Maple, Matlab등 많은 응용 소프트웨어를 이용한 강의가 이루어지고 있다. 컴퓨터를 이용한 수학 교육 시 나타나는 문제에 대해서 많은 수학 교육학자 사이에 논쟁이 되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 컴퓨터를 이용한 학습자와 기존 판서 학습자 사이의 수학 이론의 이해도와 이론의 응용력에 대한 차이가 있는지 임의의 학생을 표본 추출 후 각각의 방법에 의한 수학의 정적분 분야에 대한 교육 후 시험을 실시 후 통계 분석을 통하여 컴퓨터에 의한 수학 교육시의 문제점을 알아보고, 적절한 컴퓨터 교육의 방향을 제시 하고자 한다.

간호학 문제중심학습에 기초한 창의성통합교육모형(C-PBL) 개발 및 효과 (Development of Creativity Integrated Problem-Based Learning Model for Nursing Education)

  • Purpose: This study aimed at (a) developing an instructional model of creative thinking education on the problem-based learning method (C-PBL) in undergraduate nursing curriculum at one University, and (b) examining its effect on nursing students' level of creativity and outcomes from problem-based learning. Methods: The C-PBL model was implemented on 43 juniors of the experimental group with a 30 hour-nursing class during one semester. The control group, with 54 seniors, received 4 hours of problem based learning training in an adult nursing class. Pre-and post-tests were done with the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking for creative thinking ability, the Integrated Creativity Instrument for creative motivation and attitudes, the Problem Solving Competency questionnaire, and the Self-Directed Learning Instrument. Results: The C-PBL model was developed using a caring situation scenario to solve nursing problems with 3 training steps of 'encountering a patient in a caring situation', 'exploring nursing knowledge', and 'designing creative caring beyond given knowledge'. Between the experimental group and the control group, there were significant differences in creativity (p<.010), problem-solving ability (p<.010), and self-directed ability (p<.010). Conclusion: This C-PBL method could contribute in increasing creative competency as well as problem-solving ability for nursing students.

능력 중심 교육의 가치가 공업계 고등학교 교육의 운영 개선에 주는 시사점 (Suggestions for Improvement of Industrial High School Education Based on the Value of Competency-Based Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest plans to improve the industrial high school through the inquiry of Competency-Based Education(CBE). The suggestions are as followings: (1) Selection and organization of the educational contents of industrial high school must be based on job analysis. (2) Instructional objectives must be defined as a performance objective and enabling objectives. (3) Instruction must be individualized in method, the instructional contents must be organized in the unit of module. (4) Evaluation system must be not knowledge based but performance-based. (5) Physical Environment of work shop must be organized based on facilities, equipments and machines abstracted by job analysis. (6) Competency-Based Teacher Education(CBTE) program is required to train competent teachers in practice.

플립러닝을 적용한 알고리즘 이론교과목의 효과적인 교수학습방법 설계 (Design of Effective Teaching-Learning Method in Algorithm theory Subject using Flipped Learning)

  • 최근 새로운 산업 환경의 변화에 필요한 맞춤형 기업 인재양성을 위한 효과적인 교수학습방법으로 플립러닝이 주목 받고 있다. 기존 강의식 수업방식의 경우 중도탈락률이 높고 창의적 문제 해결력을 저해하는 등의 다양한 문제점이 있다. IT 공과대학의 경우 선수 교과목의 선행이 필요한 전공 이론과목이 대부분이므로 학생들의 학습 참여도와 학업 성취도를 높일 수 있는 효과적인 교수학습방법의 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 학생들의 학습 동기를 유발하고 자기 주도적 학습을 통한 학습 효과를 높이기 위해 플립러닝과 실습수업을 병행한 5단계 플립러닝 수업모형을 제안하였다. 또한 컴퓨터공학과의 알고리즘 수업에 적용하여 학습 효과를 분석하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 문제점 및 활용방안을 제시하고자 한다.

대학교 정보통신기술 활용 실태 분석 (An Analysis on the Current Status of ICT Uses in Higher Education)

  • 본 연구는 대학교 ICT 활용 실태를 분석하고, ICT 활용 관련 변수들간의 관계 및 교수방법과 ICT 활용과의 관련성을 분석하였다. 연구대상은 교육대학교 교수들 중 198명을 무선표집하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과 여성 교수들과 60대 남성 교수들의 컴퓨터 능력 향상을 위한 지원이 필요하고, 경력이 적은 교수들에게 ICT 활용을 위한 지원 프로그램이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 교수들이 사용하는 교수방법은 직접 교수방법과 토론 중심 교수방법이 가장 많았으며 ICT 활용을 잘 아는 교수들이 토론 형태의 교수방법을 더 많이 활용하고 있었다. 앞으로 교수들은 교수-학습에 활용하기 위한 컴퓨터가 점점 더 어려워질 것으로 예상하고 있었으며, ICT 활용 교육에서 다른 교수들과 협력적인 수업이 보완되어야 하고 효과적인 교수-학습을 위하여 컴퓨터를 학습해야 할 필요성을 느끼고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Development and Application of Failure-Based Learning Conceptual Model for Construction Education

  • Recent demands from construction industry have emphasized the capability for graduates to have improved skills both technical and non-technical such as problem solving, interpersonal communication. To satisfy these demands, problem-based learning that is an instructional method characterized by the use of real world problem has been adopted and has proven its effectiveness various disciplines. However, in spite of the importance of field senses and dealing with real problem, construction engineering education has generally focused on traditional lecture-oriented course. In order to improve limitations of current construction education and to satisfy recent demands from construction industry, this paper proposes a new educational approach that is Failure-Based Learning for using combination of the procedural characteristics of the problem-based learning theory in construction technology education utilizing failure information that has the educational value in the construction area by reinterpreting characteristics of construction industry and construction failure information. The major results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) Educational effect of problem-based learning methodology and limitation of application in construction area 2) The educational value of the information on construction failure and limitation in application of the information in construction sector 3) Anticipated effect from application of the failure-based learning 4) Development and application of the failure-based learning conceptual model.
