The K-Beauty beauty industry is emerging as a future-oriented growth industry that creates high added value. Therefore, this study analyzed the trends of the K-Beauty beauty industry, the latest cosmetics industry trends, and previous studies and reports related to global competitiveness with the purpose of suggesting a direction to develop into a promising industry with future value needs and competitiveness of consumers. First, it is necessary to induce the demonstration of social and economic value as an export-beneficial industry by enabling division of roles between industries and governments by sector based on innovation and creativity. Second, it is expected to succeed only when beauty and IT are fused to form and expand an innovation network. Finally, if legal and institutional improvements are preceded to solve the task of creating new jobs and fostering professionals that meet the goals of industrial development, it will be possible to strategize the revitalization of the future-oriented K-Beauty beauty industry.
The purpose of this research is to analyze care types in long-term care facilities with the view of Active Ageing by using Q-methodology. In-depth interviews were conducted to grasp various thoughts on care of long-term care facilities in three areas of WHO's active aging: health, safety, and participation. 35 people participated in the interview, including the elderly living in long-term care facilities, adult children of the elderly living in long-term care facilities, the elderly living in the community, service providers, and long-term care professionals. Of the 451 Q populations, 63 Q samples were extracted, and a total of 43 P samples were used for final data analysis. Data were analyzed using the QUANL program, and as a result, three factor structures (4 types) were found to be suitable and accounted for 30.15% of the total variance. Current care types in long-term care facilities were analysed into 4 types: protection-oriented care (type 1), participation-oriented care (type 2), medical-connected care (type 3), and human-centered care (type 4). Based on the results of this study, institutional and practical suggestions and implications were presented for the qualitative change of care in long-term care facilities.
This study aims at the evaluation of procedural changes and policy outcome caused by the Open Method of Coordination(OMC) on Social Inclusion in the European Union. The policy instruments of the OMC introduced by the Lisbon Council can be divided into two groups: the outcome-oriented New Public Management(NPM) and the process-oriented Directly Deliberative Polyarchy(DDP). By considering the adoption process of the NPM instruments, it can be said that OMC could not be effective due to the vagueness of its objectives, the institutional barriers in decentralized decision-making, and the rejection of benchmarking by the Member States. The intended learning by deliberation and peer review as indicated by the normative DDP, is hard to achieve because they are not so reflexive due to relatively restricted and closed participation. We also cannot find any significant reduction of poverty after the long implementation of the OMC. Considering the higher recognition of poverty problem and expanding NGOs concerned with it, however, we may see some significant impact in the future.
To be an adjunct professor(gyeomgyosu) literally means to act as an instructor while also holding a different position. Adjunct professors were initially introduced under Confucianism. Gradually, technical offices also appointed adjunct professors using Confucian-educated bureaucrats for the purpose of educating lower-level technical officials and cadets. This paper examines the history of the civil service system related to adjunct professors through the Code of Laws, and examines those who have been appointed to the public office described in various documents. This paper argues that changes in the medical office's adjunct professor system reflect changes in the national medical talent training policy. The main basis of specific recognizing medical personnel is to decouple the appointment of Confucian scholars from that of full-time doctors. The replacement of the role of medical educators from Confucian scholars to full-time doctors was largely accomplished during the reign of King Jungjong(中宗) and was completed during the period of King Injo(仁祖). The time when Euiyakdongcham was created and the Office of Euiyakdongcham was established coincided with the period when the adjunct professor was disrupted in the medical office. However, this change in the adjunct professor system of medical authorities is in contrast to interpretation, which is a representative technical field. In the case of interpretation, Moonshin's sayeogwon position as adjunct professor was maintained even in the late Joseon Dynasty, and apart from this, there was a hanhagmunsin in Seungmunwon. Interpreter families had institutional arrangements that prevented them from making interpretation their own monopoly. Therefore, families of medical bureaucrats had more room for institutional growth than those of bureaucratic interpreters. Of course, these institutional devices did not prevent the growth of interpreting bureaucratic families in the late Joseon Dynasty. However, the situation in which medicine was accepted only as a kind of knowledge, not as an object of full-time work for sadaebue, would have been an opportunity to rise for those in technical jobs who were full-time medicine. As medicine became more differentiated and developed in the late Joseon Dynasty, medical knowledge and the knowledge about the medical profession became more important. The politicians could not avoid the use of a philosophically oriented system in which a confucian-educated bureaucrat equipped with only Confucian knowledge might replace a full-time doctor. Thus, the contradiction between the reality and the ideal of ignoring or denying reality was reproduced like other Confucian-centered societies. These contradictions have implications for us living in the modern age. Establishing the relationship between philosophy (or belief) and technology should not end with the superiority of one side or the other.
Recently market potentials of Asian cruise service have driven big western incumbents to make an strategic entry into Asian cruise market. However Korean cruise industry has been on the initiating stage focused on coastal cruise service. Under the circumstances, Korean firms which have intention to provide cruise service ought not to depend mainly on government's institutional supports such as expansion of social infrastructure and consolidation of related law, but to explore and utilize service-oriented factors for customer satisfaction as fundamentals for competitive strategies with some considerations. In this study, we expanded the perceived value literature by demonstrating the role of selected affective factors such as novelty and hedonics on value in the context of cruise service experiences. We also examined the role of customer satisfaction in the affect-value relationship. According to the results, it is analyzed that such determinants of perceived value in cruise-ferry service like novelty and hedonics have some positive influences on customer satisfaction of cruise service. In particular, hedonics is strongly linked to cruise vacationers' value perceptions and repurchase intentions. Overall satisfaction as a mediator accounted for the relationship between affective antecedents and perceived value. The managerial findings of this research are also briefly discussed.
This study investigated residents' preferences for spatial features of sitting areas in assisted living facilities, and provides recommendations for planning sitting areas to support residents' spatial preferences and social interaction. The study participants were 69 residents of eight assisted living facilities (30+ resident capacity), located in south central Texas. A photographic comparison method was used, in which residents were shown 20 matched pairs of photos, with a single feature digitally modified in each pair, and asked to select which environmental representation they preferred. The hypothesized spatial characteristics were identified in practice based literature as those that may encourage usage of sitting areas: viewability, variety, homelikeness, and privacy. Most of the hypothesized features were preferred by participants, with the highest preference found for non-institutional furniture arrangements and naturalness, followed by increasing enclosure and variety of seating. Preference was less significant for domestic cues such as carpeted floors, divided light windows, and boundaries defined by different colored material or columns, possibly due to their physical impairments or preference for visual openness. Participants' level of mobility assistance was significantly related to their preference for some features, such as seating with people-watching capability, and carpeted floors. The findings have implications for facility architects and administrators engaged in resident-oriented spatial planning.
This paper presents the ODR phenomenon with a specific focus on regulatory problems. It argues that the current regulatory framework for online dispute resolution is, to a large extent, defective. Existing deficiencies result not only from a lack of comprehensive ODR law, but also from the weakness of the other modalities of regulation : norms and market. The current today's approach to regulating ODR has been unsuccessful, and it is time to re-examine that position. I would like to say that suggesting details of the optimal ODR regulatory framework is beyond the scope of this paper. From a broader perspective, the field of ODR seems to be not sufficiently regulated. Neither by law, nor by the restrains set by other norms or market. Given the current weakness of the modalities of regulation, online dispute resolution requires greater institutional and international support. It appears that adoption of internationally harmonized ODR law would not hamper the development of norms and market, but rather support their proper growth. As a result, the co-regulation approach recommended in this paper is different from both traditional state-oriented models of regulation and self-regulatory systems. Arguably, this co-regulation approach is the optimal model for regulation of online dispute resolution under current circumstances.

The environmental conservation action in the homes was systematically approached in this study as an input-process-output and feedback cycle. The input phage is the consumer oriented buying stage, the while the process is the actual use of the products and the output stage consists of categorizing and producing wales, the feodbach being recycling of resources. At each stage the attitude which is devoted to environmental consciousness plays a big ride in the actual preservation of the Earth environment. in order to effectively conserve the environment, efforts displayed by the business sector is as important as implementation of environmentally conscious action at home. During the process of producing and distributing products, and attitude and action in preservation efforts are crncial and the responsibility ageat. For the business sector to effectively initiate environmental preservation into action, institutional support from the government and cooperation from the homes is of essence. Consolidated efforts to atter the superfrony life style into ecological life styles and ralues is essential to solve the most important socio-economic issue of the 90's of preserving the earth.

In this study there was the analysis of government incentives and resident support of public crematoriums, typically identified in Korea as a locally unwanted land use (LULUs), in the metropolitan area. The study looked at what government programs would be potential incentives for allowing the crematoriums to exist in metropolitan communities. Such programs were diverse, with projects focused on: enhancing resident welfare, increasing resident income, funeral facilities and management consignment, community oriented programs, education, funding, and others. Among them, it was found that residents were most in support of programs for enhancing resident welfare and increasing income among residents. In order to resolve the complexities of community support for LULUs and government incentives to shift public perception of cremation, three main policies are proposed. First, it would be necessary to compliment additional project support policies which provide medical services, resident prefered projects, and improvement of substandard housing. Second, it would be important to establish ordinances concretely identifying residential support projects based on community needs assessment. Lastly, it would be of the government's best interest to build policies for resident supported projects that reflect local conditions and the residents' demands for allowing non-preferred facilities to be built, and then to analyze the economic feasibility of these demands.
This thesis is based on an in-depth interview on participation experience of ten immigrants who reside in S Multi-cultural Family Support Center that is located in Gyeonggi-do in Korea Immigration & Integration Program(KIIP). The purpose of this research is to present through it's basic data for improvement in the operation of KIIP in the future by grasping participation process in KIIP that the immigrants have experienced, problems involved in their operation, and related requirements. Major results of the research are as follows: First, the motive for the immigrants' participation in KIIP was to acquire Korean nationality, learn Korean, and prepare for their future in Korea. Second, as a difficulty in participation in KIIP, access to educational institutions loomed large. Third, regarding improvements in the operation of KIIP, marriage immigrants needed to continue Korean language education, whereas other immigrants revealed a demand for opening evening classes or weekend classes. In the final analysis, it seems that for KIIP to provide an opportunity for the immigrants to have a vision for their life in the future, as well as for its realization in Korean society, policy-oriented institutional support that pays attention to their life situation and demands is badly needed.
