Environmental concern has become the focus of various studies, academic research, company policies, and government policies. A business sector, which has seen a high level of urgency in environmental empowerment are small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These are an economic sector, which is imbedded in society and has become one of the largest economic sectors in Indonesia. Therefore, this study analyzes the relationship between green human resource management (GHRM), workplace green behavior (WGB) and green innovation (GI), and increasing firm performance (FP). This study is using quantitative research methods. The data is obtained through distributing questionnaires to 180 culinary SMEs employees from cafes and modern food restaurant in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Indonesia. The data is then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Smart-PLS. The results of this study show that GHRM has significant positive effect on workplace green behavior and firm performance, while workplace green behavior also has significant positive effect on green innovation and firm performance. In addition, green innovation has significant positive effect on firm performance. This study contributes to provide and extends the literature related to building green SMEs, which is empirically demonstrated to be able to improve company performance.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of strategic human resource management perceived by members of SMEs on organizational performance and innovation behavior. In addition, the mediator effect of innovation behavior of organizational members on the relationship between strategic human resource management and organizational performance was verified using the statistical program SPSS 21.0 program. First, the hypothesis 1, strategic human resource management (adoption and compensation, job design, training and career management, participation in decision-making) was adopted by showing positive impact on the positive impact on organizational performance. Second, hypothesis 2, strategic human resource management (recruitment and compensation, job design, training and career management, participation in decision-making) was adopted after demonstrating statistically significant influence on innovation behavior. Third, the innovation behavior perceived by Hypothesis 3 organizational members showed a positive influence on organizational performance. Hypothesis 3 was therefore adopted. Fourth, as a result of verifying the mediating effect of innovation behavior in the relationship between hypothesis 4, strategic human resource management and organizational performance, innovation behavior was analyzed to be partially mediated. In other words, strategic human resource management of organizational members has a direct impact on organizational performance, but it can show a higher positive impact on organizational performance through innovation actions in its performance.
Purpose - This paper aims to analyze the determinants of licensing behaviors of manufacturing firms empirically in non-advanced exporting countries. Research design and methodology - We try to approach licensing behavior from the perspective of innovation strategy and open innovation, and deal with two activities composing licensing, i.e. licensing-in and licensing-out using the result of Korean Innovation Survey Results - Firstly, Organizational characteristic factors, particularly the size and size related factors influence the firm behavior of licensing-out, but not in case of licensing-in. Secondly, innovation strategy influences the firm behavior of licensing-in, but not in case of licensing-out. Lastly, the determinants of licensing-in and that of licensing-out are different. Conclusions - In general, firms doing licensing-out have many complementary assets and orientation for global markets. Meanwhile, firms doing licensing-in are innovative firms utilizing patent as an appropriation mechanism. Licensing-out have relevance with product market-related factors and licensing-in have more relevance with technology market-related factors
The increased investment in technological innovations makes the investigation of factors affecting technology adoption more interesting. Several perspectives have been proposed to explain the determinants of information technology adoption. While the traditional innovation diffusion research streams try to explain and predict adoption behavior with the adopter's perceptions about the characteristics of the innovation itself, critical mass theorists argue that adoption behavior as a collective action is based on what their business partners are doing and whether there exists enough critical mass to justify the investment. Drawing on theses two perspectives, this study investigates the decision criteria in the adoption of information technology as innovation and factors affecting the decision criteria. The survey results reveal that the adoption behavior is affected both by innovation characteristics and by critical mass's activity. Correlation analysis, t-test, and stepwise regression models also show that as the environmental uncertainty is getting higher, adoption decision is affected more by what others are doing, and that highly competitive organizations seem to play the role of critical mass.
The purpose of this study is to suggest directions for enhancing competitiveness of corporate management by examining how individual creativity and organizational members' value innovation culture perception affect innovation behavior and knowledge sharing, and how innovation behavior and knowledge sharing affect organizational innovation performance and management outcomes In order to achieve these research objectives, the measurement variables of each variable were extracted through previous research and 423 valid samples were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 statistical package program and LISREL 9.1 to verify a hypothesis. As a result of this study, it was found that the creative thinking skills of the individual creativity, the meaningful tasks of the value innovation culture recognition, and the risk - taking culture have a significant influence on the innovation behavior. Only the meaningful tasks of organizational members' value innovation culture perception affect knowledge sharing. Innovation behavior has a significant effect on knowledge sharing and innovation performance, but not on business outcome. In addition, knowledge sharing has no significant effect on innovation performance but has a significant effect on business performance. Finally, we confirmed that innovation performance has a significant effect on management outcome.
The purpose of this study is to determine the Mediating Effects of Job Engagement between Perception in Compensation and Innovation Behavior in Chinese Enterprise Workers. The empirical study was conducted by a questionnaire survey on 700 workers in companies located in the southern area of China. The statistical analysis results revealed the following. First, the perception in compensation of Chinese workers has significant positive effects on the innovation behaviors. And intrinsic compensation has more relative significant effects than extrinsic compensation. Second, the perception in compensation has significant positive effects on the job engagement. In this case, extrinsic compensation has more relative significant effects than intrinsic compensation does. Third, job engagement of workers has significant positive effects on the innovation behaviors. Fourth, job engagement has mediating effects between perception in compensation and innovation behaviors. In conclusion, for the sustainable growth and competitive advantage of Chinese enterprises, it is important to perceive the needs of extrinsic and intrinsic perception in compensation of workers, and to design suitable compensation policies and programs to promote innovation behaviors and job engagement considering the distribution and procedural justice, and also to reflect the needs and job characteristics of workers.
The purpose of this study is to suggest implications for the importance of shared leadership of leaders by analyzing the influence of learning orientation and unlearning on the recognition of leader's shared leadership and employees'. The questionnaire survey was conducted on the employees who work as knowledge workers in the domestic SMEs. A total of 387 questionnaires were collected using SPSS 24.0 statistical package. The results of this study were that the relationships between a leader's shared leadership and innovation behavior, shared leadership and learning orientation, and learning orientation and innovation behavior were positive. In addition, learning orientation mediated in the relationship between shared leadership and innovation behavior, and unlearning reinforced the relationship between shared leadership and learning orientation. The implication of this study is that the employees themselves need continuous reinforcement activities for active unlearning and learning orientation in order to improve the innovation behavior of the employees. In addition, the shared leadership of leaders in employees and organization is more important.

The purpose of this descriptive correlational study was to explore the effect of knowledge of evidence-based practice (K-EBP) and organizational culture on the innovation behavior of university librarians in South Korea. The structured survey questionnaire consisted of four sections and 60 items. The four sections were concerned with K-EBP, organizational culture, innovation behavior, and EBP-related activities and demographic. The respondents were librarians working in 101 university libraries in South Korea. The results of this study were as follows. First, K-EBP indicated that the respondents had excellent practical skills, but their ability to appraise critically, apply knowledge and to conduct research was weak. Second, the questionnaire scores for K-EBP were significantly positively correlated with those for organizational culture and innovation behavior. Higher K-EBP scores corresponded to higher scores for relation-, innovation-, and task-oriented organizational culture. Third, K-EBP outcomes differed significantly by age group, education level, employment type, job title/seniority, reading of academic journal articles, and attendance at conferences. Organizational culture differed significantly with age. Innovation differed significantly with both age and conference attendance. Fourth, in the hierarchical multiple regression analysis, factors predicting K-EBP scores were education level and reading academic journals. Fifth, the multiple regression analysis identifying factors predicting innovation revealed statistically significant regression coefficients for overall K-EBP and for innovation- and hierarchy-oriented organizational culture. The regression coefficient for perception of a hierarchy-oriented organizational culture was negative. To promote innovation behavior of librarians, we need to foster an innovative organizational culture characterized by communication and cooperation, and improve the ability of librarians to engage in EBP. Educational programs that promote librarian engagement in research-related activities are needed.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop innovation index of hospital service integrating 6 sigma and SERVQUAL. Methods: This study used DMA(Define, Measure and Analysis) from 6 sigma and 5 Factors from SEVQUAL. To test data, chi-squire text, association analysis and behavior analysis was conducted. Results: This study indicated the management index through CTQ (Critical to Quality) and Chosen few X using 6 sigma process. Finally, And this study developed 5 Factors; Equipment Utilization in Tangibility, Ratio of Patients/Disease/Behavior/Treatment in Reliability, Survival RAte, Canselation Rate of Reservation, Churn Rate, Interval of Treatment and Confidence in Responsiveness, Frequency of Patients/Disease/Behavior/Treatment in Assurance and Contrast to Best Department/Best Doctor/Best Doctor in Faculty/Average of Mine in Empathy. Conclusion: This study developed innovation index of hospital service. Managing this index, hospital is able to achieve the decline of total treatment cycle, adjustment of patients behavior and increase of equipment utilization. Ultimately, hospital is able to accomplish innovation of healthcare service.
Previous studies stated that low carbon innovation performance could be influenced by government regulations and the green market, which is the new trend of consumer consumption in the present time, mainly focusing on external factors. Before study augured that low carbon innovation performance could be driven by internal and external factors of cooperation such as institutional pressure, stakeholder pressure, and innovation resources. However, the study of green transformational leadership and organizational environmental culture on low carbon innovation performance is rare, especially in Chinese manufacturing, as well as the effect of influencing factors of TPB model: environmental attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior capability on low carbon innovation performance. Previous studies mostly used the TPB model for predicting individual behavior. This study established a theoretical model combining the TPB model with green transformational leadership and organizational environmental culture of Chinese automobile manufacturing on low carbon innovation performance. This study consists of two sections of research methodology: section 1 related to questionnaire design and data collection. We established a questionnaire and distributed it online, targeting responses from the managerial level working in Chinese automobile manufacturing. Eventually, 155 valid questionnaires were used for analysis. Section 2 involved data analysis using statistical software. Reliability and data validity was examined by reliability analysis and factor analysis. Correlations and convergent validity analyses were applied, and structural equation modeling was conducted to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings indicated that green transformational leadership, organizational environmental culture, and essential factors of TPB model; environmental attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavior capability positively affect low carbon innovation performance. In addition, the indirect effect of green transformational leadership was tested and found that organizational environmental culture and TPB factors mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and low carbon innovation performance.
