  • 최근 복합재료, 신소재 등 다양한 방법을 통해 빔(beam), 바(bar), 패널(panel) 등 초경량 구조재료가 개발되고 있다. 이중 금속 내부구조재를 가진 접합판재(Inner Structured and Bonded panel, ISB panel)은 3차원 형상의 내부구조재가 강성 및 강도를 증가시키는 반면, 부피의 대부분이 비어있어 비강도 및 비강성을 크게 개선시킨다 일반적으로 다양한 트러스 형태의 금속 내부구조물은 허니컴 형상의 내부구조와 유사한 정도로 기계적 특성이 우수하다.(중략)

On the Leakage Analysis of a Full Containment Tank Using a FEM

  • In this paper, the leakage safety of prestressed concrete structure including the insulation panels has been analyzed using a finite element analysis just after a collapse of 9% nickel inner tank. This FEM study shows that the outer tank may contain the leaked cryogenic liquid for the time being until the primary pump in the inner tank transports stored cryogenic liquids to the nearest LNG storage tank before the outer tank is demolished. This means that the total tank thickness from the insulation panel to the outer tank system safely may retain the leaked cryogenic fluids. The FE computed results indicate that the current structure in a full containment tank is obviously enough to securing the leak-proof safety of the tank system with two primary pumps.

  • Sandwich structures, which are composed of a thick core between two thin faces, are commonly used in many engineering applications because they combine high stiffness and strength with low weight. In this paper, through the FLD analysis according to the pattern changes, we have confirmed the deformed shape and formability distribution. Also, we have fabricated the dimple press mold according to the pattern changes, and obtained the dimple inner structure the forming experiments.

  • In this paper, we proposed the method to improve the performance of Viterbi decoder by applying Concatenated structure. Proposed decoder for Concatenated Code is designed with inner Viterbi decoder, block deinterleaver and outer Viterbi decoder. Inner Viterbi decoder (K=7, R=1/2) has 8-level soft decision, but outer decoder (K=7, R= 1/2) has 2-level hard decision. Applied interleaving scheme make decoder to have better BER performance in Concatenated code. The designed VLSI shares inner decoder with outer decoder. Because of sharing structure, complexity of decoder can be reduced to half. But it required about twice clock speed.

  • In the present work, topology optimization method using adaptive inner-front level set method is presented. In the conventional level set based topology optimization method, there exists an incapability for inner-front creation during optimization process. In this regard, as a new attempt to avoid and to overcome the limitation, an inner-front creation algorithm is proposed. In the inner-front creation algorithm, the strain energy density of a structure along with volume constraint is considered. Especially, to facilitate the inner-front creation process during the optimization process, the inner-front creation map which corresponds to the discrete valued function of strain energy density is constructed. In the evolution of the level set function during the optimization process, the least-squares finite element method (LSFEM) is employed. As an application to shell structures, the lightweight design of doubly curved shell and segmented mirror is carried out.

복층터널 내부슬래브의 연결형식에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical study on the connection type of inner-slab in double deck tunnel)

  • 본 연구에서는 쉴드 TBM에 의한 대심도 복층터널의 계획 시 세그먼트 라이닝의 거동을 주요 구조물인 내부 슬래브의 연결구조 형식에 따라 검토하였다. 복층터널의 내부슬래브와 세그먼트 라이닝 설계 요구조건을 정립하기 위하여 용도에 따라 내부 구조물의 형식을 정의하고, 터널 라이닝과 내부 슬래브의 연결구조를 비교하였다. 그리고 MIDAS Civil 2012 프로그램으로 빔-스프링 모델을 이용하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 본 연구결과 중간슬래브 및 하부슬래브, 내부슬래브와 세그먼트 라이닝의 연결 형식 그리고 측압계수들은 복층터널 계획시 주요 설계사항임을 확인하였다.

  • Sandwich structures, which are composed of a thick core between two thin faces, are commonly used in many engineering applications because they combine high stiffness and strength with low weight. Depending on the application of a particular sandwich structure, various types of cores can be used. The production of sandwich sheets by a rolling process, which is a more efficient and economical approach compared to other types of processes, has become an increasingly important subject of study. In this paper, we have studied the embossing structure of sheet type and developed embossing roll mold with $\Phi$3 pattern and roll forming system.

  • The purpose of this paper is to determine the effect of the autoclave inner pressure rate, heat-up rate, tool round angle, Thickness of core, height of joggle on defects, and to minimize the defects of aircraft sandwich structure reinforced with honeycomb core occurred in autoclave processing. The results showed that the geometry of aircraft sandwich structure and tool such as tool round angle, Thickness of core, height of joggle, and the autoclave cure conditions such as inner pressure rate, heat up rate strongly affected the core movement, core wrinkle, bridge phenomenon of prepreg and depression of core that occurred in autoclave processing.

  • A new level set based topology optimization employing inner-front creation algorithm is presented. In the conventional level set based topology optimization, the optimum topology strongly depends on the initial level set distribution due to the incapability of inner-front creation during optimization process. In the present work, an inner-front creation algorithm is proposed, in which the sizes, positions, and number of new inner-fronts during the optimization process can be globally and consistently identified. To update the level set function during the optimization process, the least-squares finite element method is employed. As demonstrative examples for the flexibility and usefulness of the proposed method, the level set based topology optimization considering lightweight design of 3D shell structure is carried out.
