지하수 모델링 기법을 이용한 인공함양정 최적 위치 평가 (Determining Optimal Locations of an Artificial Recharge Well using an Optimization-coupled Groundwater Flow Model)

  • A Fortran program was developed to determine the optimal locations of an artificial recharge well. Three objective functions were considered: (1) maximizing the recovery rates, (2) maximizing the injection rates, and (3) minimizing the coefficient of variation of the increased pumping rates. We also suggested a new aggregate objective function which combined the first and the third objective functions. The model results showed that locating the injection well inside the cluster of pumping wells was desirable if either the recovery or the injection rate was taken into account. However, the injection well located outside the cluster evenly increased the pumping rates in existing pumping wells. Therefore, for clustered pumping wells, installing an injection well at the center or the upstream of the pumping wells seems beneficial. For linear arrangement of pumping wells parallel to the constant head boundary, locating the injection well in the upstream was recommended. On the contrary, in case of the linear arrangement perpendicular to the constant head boundary, the injection well installed on both sides of the central part of the pumping wells was preferable.

  • Analytical solutions have been derived to delineate the capture zone created by pumping wells for the remediation design of contaminated groundwater. These previous analytical solutions are often restricted to pumping wells only, specific well locations, a limited number of wells, and an isotropic aquifer. Analytical solution was developed to deal with arbitrarily located multi injection-pumping wells in an anisotropic homogeneous aquifer. The solution presented in this study provides a simple, easy method for determining tile complex flow field caused by multi injection-pumping wells at different rates, and will consequently be useful in pump-and-treat design.

  • Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) system can be very cost-effective and renewable energy sources, depending on site-specific parameters and load characteristics. In order to develop an ATES system which has certain hydrogeological characteristics, understanding of the thermo hydraulic processes of an aquifer is necessary for a proper design of an aquifer heat storage system under given conditions. The thermo hydraulic transfer for heat storage is simulated using FEFLOW according to two sets of pumping and waste water reinjection scenarios of heat pump operation in a two layered confined aquifer. In the first set of model, the movement of the thermal front and groundwater level are simulated by changing the locations of injection and pumping well in seasonal cycle. However, in the second set of model the simulation is performed in the state of fixing the locations of pumping and injection well. After 365 days simulation period, the temperature distribution is dominated by injected water temperature and the distance from injection well. The small temperature change is appears on the surface compared to other slices of depth because the first layer has very low porosity and the transfer of thermal energy are sensitive at the porosity of each layer. The groundwater levels and temperature changes in injection and pumping wells are monitored to validate the effectiveness of the used heat pump operation method and the thermal interference between wells is analyzed.

  • The validation of a groundwater source heat pump system installation site is estimated by bydrogeothermic model ing. The hydraulic characteristics of the aquifer system is evaluated from pumping and recovery tests. In addition, the temperature distribution by the pumping and the injection of groundwater, and water level fluctuations are simulated by numerical modeling. The total cooling and heating load for the building is designed as 120RT(refrigeration ton) and the ground water source heat pump system covers 50RT as a subsidiary system The scenario of heat pump operation is organized as pumping and inject ion of groundwater that is performed for 8 hours per day in cooling mode for 90 days during the summer season The heat transfer by the injected warm water is limited near the inject ion wells in the simulated temperature distribution. The reason is that the given operation time is too short to expect broad thermal diffusion in large volume of the aquifer in the simulation time The simulated groundwater level and temperature distribution can be used as important data to develope an energy effective pumping and injection well system. Also it will be very useful to evaluate the hydraulic capacity of a target groundwater reservoir.

대수층 수리지질특성에 따른 인공함양시험 적용 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application Method of Artificial Injection Test according to the Hydraulic Conductivity of Aquifer)

  • 본 연구에서는 지하공간 개발로 인해 발생하는 지하수위저하, 지반함몰 등의 문제를 해결하는 방법 중 하나인 인공함양기술에 있어 지하수 함양에 결정적인 역할을 하는 지표매질 특성인 수리전도도(hydraulic conductivity)에 관한 적용성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 경기도 이천에 위치한 인공함양시설의 설계조건을 동일하게 하여 양수시험과 주입시험을 수행하였다. 양수시험을 통해서는 지하수위를 회복하는데 있어 결정적인 역할을 하는 대수층의 수리상수값을 도출하였으며, 현장 대수층을 단순화 시킨 모델을 구축하여 양수시험 조건과 동일하게 적용한 부정류 해석을 수행하여 실측값과 모델값의 상관성을 검토한 결과 R2 = 0.78로 분석되었다. 동일한 조건으로 주입시험을 수행하였으며, 주입되는 지층은 실트질모래와 점토질모래로 구성된 퇴적층에서 시험을 진행하였다. 주입시험을 통해 측정된 결과를 통해 시간-수위 자료로부터 대수층의 매개변수를 결정하는 대표적 우물해석해인 Thiem의 공식을 활용하여 경험식을 유도하였으며, 유도된 경험식과 실측값의 상관분석을 수행한 결과 R2 = 0.99의 높은 상관성을 가지는 경험식을 유도하였다. 본 연구는 주입시험이 수행되기 어려운 지역에서 양수시험을 통해 결정된 대수층의 수리전도도를 활용할 경우, 특정 조건에서 신뢰도 높은 결과를 예측하는데 적절히 활용될 것으로 판단된다.

  • An aquifer thermal energy storage (ATES) model is simulated by FEFLOW according to the scenario of heat pump operation in two layered confining aquifer. The scenario is consisted of 4 steps: 90 days pumping (west well) and waste water injection (east well: 35 $^{\circ}C$), 90 day s stop, 90days pumping (east well) and waste water injection (west well: 5 $^{\circ}C$), and 95 days stop. The injection of the waste water is limited in the second layer and the first layer is aquitard. The temperature distribution at the surface shows low difference with reference temperature and opposit aspect with that of the second layer because the thermal transition through the first layer is very slow. Even though the simulated thermal transition in the aquifer system have a difference with real ATES system, optimal design and operate system can be developed with field tests and operational experience.

국내 시설농업단지의 수리지질 특성을 고려한 인공함양 민감도 분석 : 수리전도도 및 주입정과 양수정의 이격거리 (Sensitivity Analysis of Artificial Recharge in Consideration of Hydrogeologic Characteristics of Facility Agricultural Complex in Korea : Hydraulic Conductivity and Separation Distance from Injection Well to Pumping Well)

  • In this study, the sensitivity analysis of hydraulic conductivity and separation distance (distance between injection well and pumping well) was analyzed by establishing a conceptual model considering the hydrogeologic characteristics of facility agricultural complex in Korea. In the conceptual model, natural characteristics (topography and geology, precipitation, hydraulic conductivity, etc.) and artificial characteristics (separation distance from injection well to pumping well, injection rate and pumping rate, etc.) is entered, and sensitivity analysis was performed 12 scenarios using a combination of hydraulic conductivity ($10^{-1}cm/sec$, $10^{-2}cm/sec$, $10^{-3}cm/sec$, $10^{-4}cm/sec$) and separation distance (10 m, 50 m, 100 m). Groundwater drawdown at the monitoring well was increased as the hydraulic conductivity decreased and the separation distance increased. From the regression analysis of groundwater drawdown as a hydraulic conductivity at the same separation distance, it was found that the groundwater level fluctuation of artificial recharge aquifer was dominantly influenced by hydraulic conductivity. In the condition that the hydraulic conductivity of artificial recharge aquifer was $10^{-2}cm/sec$ or more, the radius of influence of groundwater level was within 20 m, but In the condition that the hydraulic conductivity is $10^{-3}cm/sec$ or less, it is confirmed that the radius of influence of groundwater increases sharply as the separation distance increases.

지하수 해수쐐기 제어를 위한 인공주입-연직 2차원 단면 수치실험 (Artificial Injection to Control Saltwater Intrusion in Groundwater-Numerical Study on a Vertical Cross Section)

  • 해안지역에서 과잉 양수정 보호를 위한 최적 해수쐐기 제어 전산모델을 개발하였다. 최적화 목적함수는 세 가지 종류의 관정에 대하여 유도되었다: 담수 양수, 담수 주입 그리고 해수 양수. 지하수 개발과 쐐기 제어로 인하여 지하수 체에 미치는 영향을 고려하기 위하여 환경인자를 도입하였다. 가상 연직단면에 대한 적용 예에서 담수 인공 주입을 통하여 해수침투로부터 과잉 양수정을 보호할 수 있음을 보였다. 연직 단면 수치실험에서는 주입량 조건이 만족되면 여러 주입 위치에서 동일하게 과잉 양수정을 보호할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 지하수 환경인자를 고려하면 최적 주입위치가 고유하게 결정된다.

  • This paper describes a passive safety injection system with free piston Stirling pump working withabundant decay heat in the nuclear reactor during the hypothetical accident. The water column in the tube assembly connected from the hot chamber to the cold chamber in the pump oscillates periodically due to thermal volume changes of non-condensable gas in each chamber. The oscillating pressure in the water column is converted into the pumping power with a suction-and-bleed type valve assembly. In this paper a dynamic model describing the frequency of oscillation and pumping pressure is developed. It was found that the pumping pressure is a function of the temperature difference between the chambers. Also, the frequency oscillation depends on the length of the tube with water column.

PMOSFET에서 Hot Carrier Lifetime은 Hole injection에 의해 지배적이며, Nano-Scale CMOSFET에서의 NMOSFET에 비해 강화된 PMOSFET 열화 관찰 (PMOSFET Hot Carrier Lifetime Dominated by Hot Hole Injection and Enhanced PMOSFET Degradation than NMOSFET in Nano-Scale CMOSFET Technology)

  • 본 논문에서는 Dual oxide를 갖는 Nano-scale CMOSFET에서 각 소자의 Hot carrier 특성을 분석하여 두 가지 중요한 결과를 나타내었다. 하나는 NMOSFET Thin/Thick인 경우 CHC stress 보다는 DAHC stress에 의한 소자 열화가 지배적이고, Hot electron이 중요하게 영향을 미치고 있는 반면에, PMOSFET에서는 특히 Hot hole에 의한 영향이 주로 나타나고 있다는 것이다. 다른 하나는, Thick MOSFET인 경우 여전히 NMOSFET의 수명이 PMOSFET의 수명에 비해 작지만, Thin MOSFET에서는 오히려 PMOSFET의 수명이 NMOSFET보다 작다는 것이다. 이러한 분석결과는 Charge pumping current 측정을 통해 간접적으로 확인하였다. 따라서 Nano-scale CMOSFET에서의 NMOSFET보다는 PMOSFET에 대한 Hot camel lifetime 감소에 관심을 기울여야 하며, Hot hole에 대한 연구가 진행되어야 한다고 할 수 있다.
