Background: Today, there are computer controlled local anesthesia devices used clinically. The main principle is to control injection speed by computer aided system, and it relieves pain. However, there are few objective data considering this subject. In this literature review, we researched studies about computer controlled anesthetic delivery. We compared pain control effect of computer controlled to conventional local anesthetic syringe system. Methods: A bibliographic search in PubMed was performed and we reviewed original articles. Results: There were 18 publications that compared pain control effect of computer controlled to conventional system. There were 8 articles reported of children, similar pain control effect was found in 7 of them. One study showed superior pain control effect of computer controlled anesthetic delivery. For adults, 10 studies showed superior pain control effect in computer aided system. Conclusions: Computer controlled anesthetic delivery has similar or superior pain control effect compared to conventional local anesthetic syringe system. For both children and adults, computer controlled anesthetic delivery could be clinically useful, still it may be more effective for adults.
This paper proposes an initial rotor magnetic pole detection method for single-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors. The target motor cannot obtain position information based on the back emf in the low speed and stop state. Therefore, an open loop starting process is required, and in this process, initial rotor position information for low current and soft start is need. The proposed initial rotor magnetic pole detection algorithm considers the effect of asymmetric air- gap and magnetic flux. In addition, the high-frequency voltage signal injection and the offset voltage for accurate detection is used. As a result, the permanent magnet poles are is determined by acquiring the maximum value of the induced current using the virtual dq-axis.

Companies that want to improve their manufacturing processes have recently introduced the smart factory, which is particularly noticeable. The ultimate goal is to maximize the area of the smart factory that performs the process of the production facility completely with minimal manual control and to minimize errors of reasoning. This research is a part of a project for unmanned production, management, packaging, and delivery management and the detection of the start point of rebars to perform the automatic calibration of the rollers through the tracking of the automated facilities of unmanned production. It must meet the requirement to accurately track the position from the start point to the end point. In order to improve the tracking performance, it is important to set the accurate start point. However, the probability of tracking errors is high depending on environments such as illumination and dust through the conventional time-based detection method. In this paper, we propose a starting point detection method using the average brightness change of high speed IR camera to reduce the errors according to the environments, As a result, its performance is improved by more than 15%.
The worldwide focus on reducing the emissions, fuel and lubricant consumption in T-GDI engines is leading engineers to consider the crankcase ventilation and oil mist separation system as an important means of control. In today's passenger cars, the oil mist separation systems mainly use the inertia effect (e.g. labyrinth, cyclone etc.). Therefore, this study has investigated high efficiency cylinder head-integrated oil-mist separator by using a compact multi-impactor type oil mist separator system to ensure adequate oil mist separation performance. For this purpose, engine dynamometer testing with oil particle efficiency measurement equipment and 3D two-phase flow simulation have been performed for various engine operating conditions. Tests with an actual engine on a dynamometer showed oil aerosol particle size distributions varied depending on operating conditions. For instance, high rpm and load increases bot only blow-by gases but the amount of small size oil droplets. Submicron-sized particles (less than 0.5 ㎛) were also observed. It is also found that the impactor type separator is able to separate nearly no droplets of diameter lower than 3 ㎛. CFD results showed that the complex aerodynamics processes that lead to strong impingement and break-up can strip out large droplets and generate more small size droplets.

Based on surrogate model, a hydrocarbon mixture was analyzed by visualizing the impinging break up mechanism in subcritical and supercritical conditions. Decane and methylcyclohexane with different critical pressures and temperatures were selected as experimental fluids. The impinging injector was installed inside the chamber, and the spray was visualized through a speed camera in subcritical and supercritical conditions. The injection condition of the mixture and chamber was kept constant at Pr(P/Pc) = 1, and Tr(T/Tc) was increased from 0.48 to 1.02. As Tr increased, the spray angle increased, and the sheet length decreased as the properties of the mixture reached each critical point. In addition, when the mixture approached the near critical point, it was shown that the change in density gradient was largely observed out of the impinging break up mechanism.

In this study, in order to improve the disadvantages of the environmental error of the infusion set that performs infusion therapy in the existing clinical practice and to maximize the user's convenience by miniaturizing the existing infusion pump system, the structure of the muscle pump of the human vein was imitated. As a double check valve method, a method for preventing the backflow of fluid and discharging a constant fluid in one direction by external pressure was proposed. The proposed bio-mimic muscle pump uses a check valve that controls the flow of fluid in one direction and a silicone tube with elasticity, and a chamber is constructed. A peristaltic pump for applying intermittent pressure to the tube chamber was constructed using a multi-cam structure roller. In order to verify the performance of the proposed pump, optimization was performed while changing the number of multi-cam rollers and adjusting the speed of the roller driving motor, and the reproducibility of the instantaneous discharge amount and the continuous discharge amount of the pump was compared and tested. The performance of the muscle pump proposed in this study was verified through experiments that it can inject up to 1L of fluid within 12 hours, and that it is possible to inject the fluid with an accuracy of ±0.1ml. Real-time monitoring of the fluid injection volume through the bio-mimic muscle pump proposed in this study not only increases the convenience of the administrator, but also provides a precise fluid administration environment to more patients at a low cost, and additionally applies bubble detection and occlusion detection technology If so, it is believed that a safer medical environment can be provided to patients.

The line width of circuits in semiconductor devices continues to decrease down to a few nanometers. Since nanoparticles attached to the patterned wafer surface may cause malfunction of the devices, it is crucial to remove the contaminant nanoparticles. Physical cleaning that utilizes momentum of liquid for detaching solid nanoparticles has recently been tested in place of the conventional chemical method. Dropwise impaction has been employed to increase the removal efficiency with expectation of more efficient momentum exchange. To date, most of relevant studies have been focused on drop spreading behavior on a horizontal surface in terms of maximum spreading diameters and average spreading velocity of drop. More important is the local liquid velocity at the position of nanoparticle, very near the surface, rather than the vertical average value. In addition, there are very scarce existing studies dealing with microdroplet impaction that may be desirable for minimizing pattern demage of the wafer. In this study, we investigated the local velocity distribution in spreading liquid film under various impaction conditions through the CFD simulation. Combining the numerical results with the particle removal model, we estimated an effective cleaning diameter (ECD), which is a measure of the particle removal capacity of a single drop, and presented the predicted ECD data as a function of droplet's velocity and diameter particularly when the droplets are microns in diameter.

Purpose Whole body bone scan, which makes up a largest percentage of nuclear medicine tests, has high sensitivity and resolution about bone lesion like osteomyelitis, fracture and the early detection of primary cancer. However, any standard for valuation has not yet been created except minimum factor. Therefore, in this study, we will analysis the method which show a quantitative evaluation index in whole body bone scan. Materials and Methods This study is conducted among 30 call patients, who visited the hospital from April to September 2014 with no special point of view about bone lesion, using GE INFINIA equipment. Enumerated data is measured mainly with patient's whole body count and lumbar vertabrae, and the things which include CNR (Contrast to Noise ratio), SNR (Signal to Noise ratio) are calculated according to the mean value signal and standard deviation of each lumbar vertabrae. In addition, the numerical value with the abdominal thickness is compared to each value by the change of scan speed and tissue equivalent material throughout the phantom examination, and compared with 1hours deleyed value. Completely, on the scale of ten, 2 reading doctors and 5 skilled radiologists with 5-years experience analysis the correlation between visual analysis with blind test and quantitative calculation. Results The whole body count and interest region count of patients have no significant correlation with visual analysis value throughout the blind test(P<0.05). There is definite correlation among CNR and SNR. In phantom examination, Value of the change was caused by the thickness of the abdomen and the scan speed. And The poor value of the image in the subject as a delay test patient could be confirmed that the increase tendency. Conclusion Now, a standard for valuation has not been created in whole body bone scan except minimum factor. In this study, we can verify the significant correlation with blind test using CNR and SNR and also assure that the scan speed is a important factor to influence the imagine quality from the value. It is possible to be some limit depending on the physiology function and fluid intake of patient even if we progress the evaluation in same condition include same injection amount, same scan speed and so on. However, that we prove the significant evaluation index by presenting quantitative calculation objectively could be considered academic value.

This study was conducted to develop a cylindrical paperpot manufacturing equipment which is capable of continuously producing paperpots with a constant size. The equipment consists of the soil supply part, the paper supply part, the pot manufacturing part, the paperpot cutting part and its process for manufacturing paperpot from the soil supply to the paperpot cutting is continuously performed. As a result of the performance test using this equipment, we suggest that the optimal moisture content and injection pressure to supply soil are 50%~60%, and 0.5 Mpa respectively. Moreover the appropriate temperature for adhesive strength is $150{\sim}160^{\circ}C$ taking into account the performance of device and adhesion time. Also, considering the cutting speed and safety, it is appropriate to adopt a straight blade having a clean plan at a minimum angle of $30^{\circ}$. In addition, the manufacturing capacity of the developed equipment was 3300 pots per hour.

This paper presents the seal material mixing ratio of tunnel umbrella arch reinforcement method. Currently, there is no clear standard for the proper gelation time and curing time of the Seal material in Korea, and the quality control is also difficult because it cannot be verified. In response, the ratio of the mixture of the seal material was composed of four types of indoor experiments, and the amount of gelation time and bleed was checked. In addition, a non-cart penetration test confirmed the curing time and compared the ratio of each combination. Further experiments on W/C 120% identified the effect of mixing speed and time on the seal material. A total of three field experiments were conducted based on indoor experiments, and the size and strength of bulb formation were compared by checking the curing time of the specimen and main injection. Comparisons show that the lower W/C, the stronger the strength, the larger the size of the bulb, and the faster the hardening time appears. Based on the results of the gelation time and curing time, it was deemed that the mixing ratio of W/C 120% is most appropriate when applied to the actual site.
