  • Nebulizer is designed to atomize medicinal fluid for patient with small particles(0.5-$5{\mu}m$) and also able to deliver particles from devices to the lungs when patient inhales air. Several particle size measurements are currently used to size aerosol particles. The most commonly used test is the cascade impactor method in as a standard. But, other methods for comparative particle size distribution data such as the particle size range and reproducibility are acceptable. Therefore, in this study a new test methode is suggested for nonventilatory nebulizer evaluation equipment.

  • Monolayers of lipids on a water surface have attracted much interest as models of biological membranes, but also as precursors of multilayer systems promising many technical applications. Until now, many methodologies have been developed in order to gain a better understand. Photoisomerization in monolayers of a novel azobenzene compound, azobenzene dendrimer, was investigated for the first time by means of the absorption spectrum and Maxwell displacement current (MDC) technique. Dendrimers are well-defined macromolecules exhibiting a tree-like structure, first derived by the cascade molecule approach. According to the absorption spectrum, trans-to-cis conversion ratio was estimated to the third generation of azobenzene dendrimer deposited onto a glass substrate. Temperature-dependent induced charge with trans-cis isomerization was also measured by means of MDC technique.

  • This paper analyzes the method of cascading 74LS163 4-Bit Binary Counters. The 74LS163 4-Bit Binary Counter has synchronous LD. CLR functions and especially ENT, ENP, RCO to cascade some chips in order to count more 4bit binary number. The maximum operating frequency may vary according to the method of cascading. The Data sheet from Texas Instruments introduces two methods, The Ripple Carry Mode Circuit and The Carry Look Ahead Circuit, and shows that The Carry Look Ahead Circuit is more efficient than the other. However, there are only little information for user to understand and apply this to other circuits. Thus, we not only analyzed the two methods but also compared with each other in the point of performance.

  • In this paper, a design of current-mode continuous-time filters for low voltage and high frequency applictions using complementary bipolar current mirror paris is presented. The proposed current-mode filters consist of simple bipolar current mirrors and capacitors and are quite suitable for monolithic integrtion. Since the design method of the proposed curent-mode filters is based on the integrator type of realization, it can be used for a wide range of applications. And the cutoff frequency of th efilters can be easily changed by the DC cntrolling current. As design examples, the 5th order butterworth filters are designed by cascade and leapfrog methods with tunable cutoff frequencies from 30MHz to 100MHz. The characteristics of the designed current mode filters are simulated and examined by SPICE using standard bipolar transistor parameters.

  • In this paper, The Split Model Analysis Algorithm, which can generate the wideband speech signal from the spectral information of narrowband signal, is developed. The Split Model Analysis Algorithm deals with the separation of the $10^{th}$ order LPC model into five cascade-connected $2^{nd}$ order model. The use of the less complex $2^{nd}$ order models allows for the exclusion of the complicated nonlinear relationships between model parameters and all the poles of the LPC model. The relationships between the model parameters and its corresponding analog poles is proved and applied to each $2^{nd}$ order model. The wideband speech signal is obtained by changing only the sampling rate

Since the design method of the proposed current-mode filters are based on the integrator type of realization, it can be used for a wide range of applications. The cutoff frequency of the designed filter can be easily tunable by the DC controlling current from 60kHz to 120kHz. The characteristics of the designed current-mode filters are simulated and examined by SPICE using standard bipolar transistor parameters.

  • The spectroscopy over a region from 3 to 17 ${\mu}m$ based on the tuneable diode lasers (TDLAS) is the most powerful technique for in situ studies of the diagnostics of small molecules. The increasing interest in small molecules especially containing carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, and fluorine containing ones can be fulfilled by TDLAS at 0.0001 cm-1 resolution, because most of these compounds are infrared active. TDLAS provides a means of determining the absolute concentrations of the ground states of stable and transient molecular species, which can be employed for the time dependent studies in sub micro second scale. Information about gas temperature and population densities can also be derived from TDLAS measurements. Collisional energy transfer between the small molecules can be studied with TDLAS. Also, a variety of free radicals and molecular ions have been detected by TDLAS. Since plasmas with molecular feed gases are used in many applications, there are new applications in industrial field. Recently, the development of quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) offers an attractive new option for TDLAS.

  • In this paper, the composite BiCMOS transistor which combines a bipolar transistor and a MOS transistor in a cascade type, is analyzed in terms of I-V characteristics and small signal equivalent circuit. As a result, it has a larger driving capability than MOS transistor and a more extended rante of input voltage than bipolar transistor. Next, a BiCMOS differential amplifier as its application example is designed and compared with the CMOS one and the bipolar one. It increases the driving capability of the CMOS differential amp and improves the linear operation region of the bipolar differential amp.

  • We propose the cascade FBG(Fiber Bragg Grating)s to compensate the dispersion, discuss the dispersion characteristics of such cascaded FBGs, compare with the single FBG dispersion compensator. For these, we theoretically consider the sencond- and third-order group-velocity dispersion(GVD) in the single fiber grating using plane wave solution and the coupled mode equation. We also theoretically find the group-velocity dispersion in the cascaded fiber gratings from the results in the single fiber grating and present the optimum disign data of the cascaded FBGs dispersion compensator in the N-channel WDM system through the numerical simulation.

  • A symmetrical 3-dB quadrature hybrid circuits, consisting mainly of bifilar pair of taitoted wires, is described. A cascade of two such hybrid circuits can achieve an octave bandwidth hybrid circuit with a small coupling loss. Since the proposed type is simple, compact, and low In cost 1 its applicarion may be preferred to the more common coaxial line or printed -circuit type hybrid version in the frequency region below 1 GHz. This study provides a design method for a hybrid circuit mixing two different antenna signals for the anti - ghosting of television signal.
