A Study on the DB-IR Integration: Per-Document Basis Online Index Maintenance

  • While database(DB) and information retrieval(IR) have been developed independently, there have been emerging requirements that both data management and efficient text retrieval should be supported simultaneously in an information system such as health care, customer support, XML data management, and digital libraries. The great divide between DB and IR has caused different manners in index maintenance for newly arriving documents. While DB has extended its SQL layer to cope with text fields due to lack of intact mechanism to build IR-like index, IR usually treats a block of new documents as a logical unit of index maintenance since it has no concept of integrity constraint. However, In the DB-IR integrations, a transaction on adding or updating a document should include maintenance of the posting lists accompanied by the document. Although DB-IR integration has been budded in the research filed, the issue will remain difficult and rewarding areas for a while. One of the primary reasons is lack of efficient online transactional index maintenance. In this paper, performance of a few strategies for per-document basis transactional index maintenance - direct index update, pulsing auxiliary index and posting segmentation index - will be evaluated. The result shows that the pulsing auxiliary strategy and posting segmentation indexing scheme, can be a challenging candidates for text field indexing in DB-IR integration.

  • This paper presents a basic planning of CMDSS(Centrallized Maintenance Decision Support System)for future operation and maintenance of telecommunication network, the main components of CMDSS are MDB, MMB, DSDB, MDBMS, MMAMS, and IGMS. ANd the efficiency and the effectiveness depend on the adequate design of the decision procedure to assisy operation and maintenance persinnels.

  • The maintenance management in buildings has got more important by the increasing complexity of building sizes and use. Nowadays an expectation and a possibility of BIM technology become accepted as a new construction management method, therefore many studies and legal systems of it are being suggested actively. Although orders for BIM projects are supposed to be increasing, at present the BIM information accumulated from planning and design still doesn't have its continuity at the maintenance step after completion of construction in terms of LCC. Therefore according to bim information, we set a goal of developing apartment maintenance system which is able to maintain by user and administrator viewpoint.

  • There are many types of BOM in the industrial world. Types of BOM include EBOM, MBOM, As-Built BOM, As-Designed BOM, Generic BOM, Customized BOM, etc. We should define an adequate BOM for a given need or application. In this paper, we proposed BOM structure for EMU Maintenance Information System. The proposed BOM structure is composed of Location BOM, Equipment BOM, and Maintenance BOM. Location BOM is functional structure for someone to achieve specific works. Equipment BOM is a bill of an independent object to be repaired, and maintained. Maintenance BOM includes all parts to compose Equipment BOM. The BOM structure will be applied to configure sales orders, explode aggregate forecasts, and calculate standard cost.

  • This paper proposes the method to develop information system for maintenance of urban transit using wireless LAM. Wireless LAN communication provides very useful method to maintain urban transit vehicle. We will use wireless LAN to transmit driving data, operational data and trace data from vehicle to wayside. And also we will use wireless LAN to refer various information concerning to work in real time. Proposed method may prevent loss of maintenance manpower and provide effective maintenance process.

  • 본 연구는 기업이나 공공단체 학교 등 대량의 PC를 보유하고 있는 곳에서 PC의 고장에 대한 효율적이고, 체계적인 유지보수 기능을 갖는 시스템의 개발과 운영을 설계하였다. 네트워크 유지보수 계약에 활발히 사용되고 있는 서비스 수준 협약(Service Level Agree : SLA) 기법을 활용하여 서비스 제공자의 서비스 제공 수준에 대한 투명한 측정과 관리를 할 수 있게 설계하였으며, 서비스 요구 점수, 유지보수 활동, 사용자 만족도, 확인 과정에 이르기까지 서비스의 전체 과정이 하나의 시스템에서 이루어지도록 One Stop Service가 가능하도록 시스템을 설계하였다.

  • 지금까지의 정보시스템 유지보수비 산정은 발주자 중심으로 이루어져 업무량에 비해 적은 비용으로 인한 공급자의 원가부담 문제점을 해결하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 공급자 중심에서 정보시스템 유지보수 비용을 산정하기 위한 기반연구로서 유지보수의 비용 항목을 도출하고 발주자와 공급자의 유지보수 비용의 격차를 조정하기 위한 조정계수를 제안한다. 유지보수의 비용항목을 도출하기 위하여 기존의 유지보수 활동에 대한 비용요인 기반연구에 유지보수 공급자의 활동들 추가하여 고정비와 변동비로 구분하고 분류한다. 발주자와 공급자의 유지보수 비용의 격차를 조정하기 위하여, 발주자 중심의 유지보수 비용 산정 시 포함되지 않은 자동화 도구에 의해 생성된 코드, 유틸리티, 컴포넌트 등과 같은 조정요인들을 찾아내고 K기업의 3년간 유지보수 수행 데이터를 검토 분석하여 조정계수 요인에 대한 격차가 K기업의 경우 13%정도가 됨을 확인하였다.

  • Seoul Metro railway facilities' inspection and maintenance tasks cause failure analysis, but if there is trouble the diverse cause investigation and the systematic analysis and management among broken facilities, related facilities and components fell short and the conditions are different. And, excess and insufficiency, under inspection and maintenance, is being raised regardless of the introduction year and the operating environment including the number of use by applying the same facilities in the uniform inspection cycle. In this study, we will analysis systematically facility system information, failures, operational status, performance, fault and maintenance information resulting from the maintenance management of railway facilities and derive the relationship between associated equipment and its components. In addition, optimizing the inspection and the maintenance cycles of railway facilities, we will improve the reliability of operation. Considering the probability of risk, it is possible to predict the occurrence of accidents or faults and to minimize the frequency of breakdown by pre-inspection maintenance. Finally, This paper is to introduce the content of constructing the Seoul Metro RCM-based failure analysis system for railway facilities to support the optimal continuance of operation status of equipments and the securement of the safe operation of vehicles.

연장된 보증을 갖는 예방보전모형 (Preventive maintenance model with extended warranty)

  • 최근에 기본 보증이 종료된 이후에 주어지는 시스템의 연장된 보증에 대한 관심이 증가되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사용자 측면에서 최소수리보증이 있는 연장된 보증이 종료된 이후의 예방보전모형을 제안하였다. 이 때, 기본 보증과 연장된 보증 하에서 고장이 발생된 시스템에는 판매자에 의해서 무료로 최소수리가 이루어진다. 이러한 제안된 예방보전모형에 대하여 기대순환길이, 총기대비용 그리고 단위시간당 기대비용을 유도하였다. 또한, 유도된 단위시간당 기대비용을 최소화 하는 최적의 예방보전 주기와 예방보전 횟수를 결정하였다. 끝으로 시스템의 고장시간이 와이블 분포를 따를 때 수치적 예를 통하여 이를 설명하였다.
