The electrical, optical, structural and surface properties of an indium tin oxide (ITO) film grown on a flexible PET substrate using a specially designed roll-to-roll (R2R) sputtering system as a function of the DC power, $Ar/O_2$ flow ratio, and rolling speed is reported. It was observed that both the electrical and optical properties of the ITO film on the PET substrate were critically dependent on the $Ar/O_2$ flow ratio. In addition, x-ray diffraction examination results showed that the structure of the ITO film on the PET substrate was an amorphous structure regardless of the DC power and the $Ar/O_2$ flow ratio due to a low substrate temperature, which was maintained constant by a main cooling drum. Under optimized conditions, ITO film with resistivity of $6.44{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}-cm$ and transparency of 86% were obtained, even when prepared at room temperature. Furthermore, bending test results exhibited that R2R-grown ITO film had good flexibility which would be applicable to flexible displays and solar cells.

This article examines the influences of Journalist gender and gender ratio in the newsroom on news coverage of women among three national newspapers in Korea. Results reveal that female reporters describe women newsmakers in greater length, of more diversity in occupations, and of more positive pattern than their colleagues, male reporters do. The newspaper employing more female reporters also covers female newsmakers with less personal information, of more diversity in occupations, and of more positive pattern. It is suggested that increase of female reporters in the newsroom induce male reporters to cover women newsmakers toward a pro-female attitude. Lastly, the relation of the gender ratio variation in the news organization and news coverage of women is discussed.

This paper suggests the condensed two-stage retrieval method for fast image retrieval in the content-based image retrieval system, and proves the validity of the performance. The condensed two-stage retrieval method reduces the overall response time remarkably while it maintains relevance with the conventional exhaustive search method. It is explained by properties of the Cauchy-Schwartz inequality. In experimental result, it turns out that there is an optimal value of condensation ratio which minimizes the overall response time. We analyze the optimal condensation ratio by modeling a similarity computation time mathematically.

In this paper we propose generalized multi-phase multivariate ratio estimators in the presence of multiauxiliary variables for estimating population mean vector of variables of interest. Some special cases have been deduced from the suggested estimator in the form of remarks. The expressions for mean square errors of proposed estimators have also been derived. The suggested estimators are theoretically compared and an empirical study has also been conducted.

The purpose of this study is to offer the basic information of waterproofing admixture of powder for field application. Through before study and fly ash in mortar, Various properties as fly ash ratio in concrete were checked. According to the experimental result, it was shown that proper Waterproofing admixture of powder increased by cement weight in concrete was generally positive effect to flowing, compressive strength, suction ratio of water, length change ratio. So if Waterproofing admixture of powder is well done quality considered as good on application of concrete.

본 논문에서는 Cone-ratio 가중치 제약이 DEA 단일 입력, 다중 출력(또는 다중 입력, 단일 출력)에 맞게 constant return을 하는 문제에 적용될 때 효율성을 측정하는 방법에 필요한 특성을 제안하였다. 또한 제안된 특성들을 기반으로 DEA에서의 단일 입력, 이중 출력에 대한 다중 해결 문제의 예시를 제시한 후 Cone-ratio 및 Wong과 Beasley 가중치 제약의 특성들을 도식적으로 비교 설명하였다.

Since the telemanipulator consisting of high reduction ratio gear joints has a slow dynamics comparing with the master manipulator, its control signal is likely to be saturated resulting in poor tracking performance and deteriorated stability. This paper proposes a bilateral control scheme of a telemanipulator having high reduction ratio, which can compensate the control input saturation. The experimental results show that the proposed control scheme has excellent performances.

This paper describes an extension of Kaffe JVM which enables to extract runtime characteristics of a Java program. The runtime characteristics include frequency of method call instruction, ratio of library method call and ratio of method whose runtime is less than compile time. It also represents ratio of method called only once, polymorphicity of virtual call and distribution of method size called in runtime. This paper analyses runtime features of the SciMark benchmark suite using the extended Kaffe.

In this letter, the constant driving power reduction ratio has been achieved for column drivers regardless of the input image by incorporating a new static power reduction scheme into the previous dynamic power reduction method. The measured power reduction ratio is around 50% for a 120 Hz liquid crystal display panel in such cases of still input video and fallback.

We compare methods for detecting influential observations that have a large influence on the likelihood ratio test statistics that the two sets of variables are uncorrelated with one another. For this purpose we derive results of the deletion diagnostic, the influence function, the standardized influence matrix and the local influence. An illustrative example is given.
