Through literature review, exposure to related education, use experiences in information resources, advice of the faculty, individual background are considered as variables affecting information literacy attitudes and performance. A questionnaire was devised and collected data from 628 students. Then 24 hypotheses were tested statistically. Descriptive analysis shows differences in information literacy, lower exposure to library instruction, and lack of the faculty advice. Results of the hypotheses testing shows computer and internet education, use experience of the various information resources, gender and major areas of study as factors affecting information literacy. Based on the results, recommendations are suggested to improve the information literacy.

  • The development of AI technology has brought about a big change in our lives. As AI's influence grows from life to society to the economy, the importance of education on AI and data is also growing. In particular, the OECD Education Research Report and various domestic information and curriculum studies address data literacy and present it as an essential competency. Looking at domestic and international studies, one can see that the definition of data literacy differs in its specific content and scope from researchers to researchers. Thus, the definition of major research related to data literacy was analyzed from various angles and derived from various angles. In key studies, Word2vec natural language processing methods, along with word frequency analysis used to define data literacy, are used to analyze semantic similarities and nominate them based on content elements of curriculum research to derive the definition of 'understanding and using data to process information'. Based on the definition of data literacy derived from this study, we hope that the contents will be revised and supplemented, and more research will be conducted to provide a good foundation for educational research that develops students' future capabilities.

  • The purpose of this study is to obtain basic information and implications for developing media information literacy curriculum by comparing and analyzing UNESCO's media and information literacy competencies and AASL's key competencies with the 2015 Revised Curriculum and the Library and Information Life curriculum. As a result of the analysis, First, UNESCO's MIL and AASL's key competencies in media information literacy were related to the competencies of the 2015 Revised Curriculum. Second, UNESCO's MIL included more aspects of the composition and competencies of information literacy than media literacy. For this reason, it could be said that media information literacy more appropriately reflects the content pursued by media literacy education than media literacy. Third, UNESCO's MIL included more training content for media literacy than information literacy. Fourth, the contents of media literacy were found to be insufficient in the Library and Information Life curriculum compared to the education contents of library and information literacy. Fifth, the competency standards related to media information literacy and Libraries and Information Life did not present cultural sensitivity competency. Based on the results of the study, It is necessary to develop a media information literacy curriculum that fuses the contents of media literacy beyond the information literacy that use library resources.

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal how undergraduate students' computer literacy and library knowledge can affect their frequency of library material use and information literacy, and analyze the correlations between frequency of library material use and information literacy. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to students of 7 universities in 8 credit-given user education courses, and correlations with variables were analyzed through hypothesis testing. It was suggested that with strong support of university administration, user education should be taught by using more of scholarly library material.

  • In the fourth industrial revolution, the government has established a policy to cultivate the creative convergent talent with software literacy in order to cultivate human resources leading the economy. Therefore, software education based on computational thinking is being adopted in liberal arts courses in universities. However it would be damaged the fundamental objectives for increasing computational thinking by a weighted stress of students to learn programming of software education. In this paper, we proposed a teaching method that can improve computing thinking through information literacy education which can be directly applied in practice as a way to reduce the burden on the programming learning of software education. Through this paper, it was found that information literacy education can improve the computing thinking as well as the computing ability by making it possible to construct enough knowledge, analysis and efficient procedures for problems.

Based on these concept definitions, we propose the application of data literacy to library information service in terms of education service and research support service. In this study, data literacy is defined as the ability to utilize data needed by users in a data - based society, is to explain why data literacy is the ability to utilize data for users in modern society by distinguishing differences from other literacy. This concludes with a discussion and proposal on what library information services can be implemented.

Developed countries around the world have been working hard to solve the digital divide and improve digital literacy. In this paper, we investigated and analyzed the case of US public libraries for improvement of digital literacy of adults including the older people. To do this, we analyzed the educational program type of digital literacy, education method, and the contents of the program, focusing on the best practices libraries of the program. Many of the educational programs still related to basic computer and Internet technologies, and training programs on Micro Office, e-mail, social media, and smartphone and tablet computing were also high. The most frequent and daily training method was informal point of use, and the content and level of education appeared to be very diverse. For digital literacy training, the librarians of the public library considered librarians' digital competence and retraining to be the most important, and the library facility and the latest equipment to be suitable for the operation of the digital literacy education program.
