The Influence of Daycare Teachers' Job Stress and Job Satisfaction on Their Psychological Happiness (보육교사의 직무스트레스와 직무만족도가 심리적 행복감에 미치는 영향)

  • The study was conducted by regression analysis based on a survey with the subjects of 107 daycare teachers working at 120 daycare facilities located in Gyeonggi-do, so as to investigate the influence of daycare teachers' 'job stress' and 'job satisfaction' on their 'psychological happiness'. The results are: first, there was significant difference in job stress(F(3,103)=2.85, p<.05), job satisfaction(F(3,103)=5.88, p<.05) and psychological happiness(F(3,103)=3.52, p<.05) accordant to the kind of work facilities among social demographic variables. In the correlation between 'job stress' and 'job satisfaction', there was negative correlation(r= .-56, p<.(01). Second, in the correlation between 'job stress' and 'psychological happiness', there was negative correlation(r= .-41, p<.001). Third, in the correlation between 'job satisfaction' and 'psychological happiness', there was positive correlation(r= .54, p<.001). In the relationship between 'job satisfaction' and 'job stress', job stress had influence on job satisfaction($R^2$= .43, F=79.42, p<.001). The explanatory power of it was 43%. In the relationship between 'job stress' and 'psychological happiness', 'job stress' had influence on 'psychological happiness'($R^2$= .41, F=21.46, p<.001). The explanatory power of it was 17%. In the relationship between 'job satisfaction' and 'psychological happiness', 'job satisfaction' had influence on 'psychological happiness'($R^2$= 59, F=5457, p<.001). The explanatory power of it was 34%.

The Relationship Among Store Image, Customers' Emotional Responses and Behavior Intention (점포이미지, 고객의 감정반응 및 행동의도의 관계)

  • The purposes of the study is builded upon previous researches to set up research model and investigate the relationship among store image, customers' emotional responses and behavior intention. For achieving study purposes, research model and hypotheses were set up after reviewing previous researches. The data were collected from a sample of 296 customers of department store, then used to conducted an empirical analysis. The results showed the significant relationship were partially found among store image, emotional responses and behavior intention. Objective store image influence positive emotions, indirectly influence behavior intention through positive emotions, but objective store image don't influence negative emotions. Subjective store image influence shoppers' positive emotions and negative emotions, and indirectly influence shoppers' behavior intention through positive emotions and negative emotions. This study has provided a variety of theoretical and practical implications for retailers to set up marketing strategies.

The Relationship between the Technology-Based Self-Service Convenience Orientation Factor and Convenience in Retail Stores

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship that is found to exist between the technology-based self-service convenience orientation factor and the factors of convenience and quality. Research design, data, and methodology - The questionnaire was developed by using the modified and supplementary questions that were examined in previous studies. We used the SPSS/PC 18.0 and lisrel 8.3 statistical packages to analyze the results of the research. For validating the research hypothesis and structural relationship of the research model, path analysis was used in this study. Results - The ease of use exerted a significant influence on the four dimensions. Information had a significant influence on transaction, benefit, and post-benefit convenience. Control had a significant influence on five dimensions. Conclusions - This study suggests that technology-based self-service convenience is classified into five multi-dimensional levels. Further, the study reveals that control, ease of use, and information are important variables in order to increase convenience. Therefore, for improving technology-based self-service convenience, it is important to improve the control, ease of use, and information variables.

  • Many organizations require employee's innovative behaviors, since one way for organizations to become more innovative is to capitalize on their employees' ability to innovate. However, employee's frequent conflict not only causes serious damage to organizations, but also blocks the authentic attitude of knowledge creation and has a negative impact on the innovative behaviors of employees. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among employee's task conflict and relationship conflict, employee's authentic attitude of knowledges creation, and innovative behaviors of employees in organizations. The result of analysis shows that the influence of task conflict on innovative behaviors is significant. And the influence of task conflict and relationship conflict on employees' authentic attitude of knowledge creation is significant. And the influence of employees' authentic attitude of knowledge creation on innovative behaviors is positively significant. Thus, the study provides researchers and practitioners with a matter of primary interest in knowledge creation as a driving force leading to innovative behaviors of employees, in which the authentic attitude of employees turns out to be an important psychological factor.

Social Capital and Residents' Perception in Rural Tourism Development: Influence on Quality of life and Residents' attitude as a Collective Aspects (농촌관광개발에서 사회적 자본과 주민지각과의 관계 - 집단적 측면에서 삶의 질과 태도에 미치는 영향-)

  • This study explores influences of the relationship between social capital and residents' perception in a collective aspects, and also explores the differences of influence between two groups in 10 rural communities. This study conducts regression analysis with residents questionnaires, and analyzes the relationship of influence among the latent factors, and differences between the two groups. As a results, associational network and social trust factors of social capital are identified as the most important factor in the quality of life and residents' attitudes. In addition, the differences in socio-cultural factor of quality of life and residents' attitude between two groups are identified by comparison with the relationship between two groups, although the explanatory power of both groups is not high. To achieve a successful rural tourism based on the result of this study, rural tourism should consider the regional and demographic characteristics, such as age, occupations and education and so on. The major contribution of this study is to confirm that the impact of social capital on the residents' perception would be different by regions in comparison with two groups, and it will be able to provide useful implication for the rural tourism development in the future.

Structural Analysis of Factors Related to Preschool Children's Peer Competence (유아의 또래 유능성에 영향을 미치는 개인 내적.외적 요인에 대한 구조 분석)

  • In this study, I examined the direct or indirect paths among the intra-personal factors as well as extra-personal factors affecting on children's peer competence. Subjects were 514 5-year-old children, their mothers, teachers. The teachers rated each children using Peer Competence Scale (Park, 2001) and completed emotion regulation and Student-Teacher Relationship Scale. The mothers responded to a questionnaire, including Parental Involvement Checklist (Cohen, 1989), parenting behaviors, and Children's Temperament. The data were used for path analysis with Amos 6.0 program. Results of this study were : (1) Children's temperament have an influence on children's peer competence through children's emotion regulation via mothers' parenting behaviors. (2) Children's temperament have an influence on children's peer competence through teacher-child relationship. (3) Mothers' parenting behaviors have an influence on children's peer Competence through mothers' management strategies of peer relations.

The Relationship between Sports-Readership and Happiness in Perceived by University Athletes (대학선수들이 지각하는 스포츠 지도력과 행복감의 관계)

  • This study was an investigation of 379 people to analyze the relations between leadership and happiness recognized by university athletes. First, happiness of university athletes showed the highest score in smooth relationship with parents. And male athletes score higher than female athletes. Second, the sub-factors of achievement and self-acceptance of happiness have significantly correlated with all factors of leadership. In particular, self-improvement, goal-seeking, and influence are most highly correlated. And the religious influence was the lowest correlation. Third, achievement orientation of leadership factors affect all sub-factors of happiness and influence, and self-regulation has an effect to sub-factors of happiness. Fourth, flexible leadership, interpersonal understanding, teamwork and cooperation, orientation did not affect happiness.

Factors Affecting Innovative Work Behavior: Mediating Role of Knowledge Sharing and Job Crafting

  • This study aimed to investigate the influence of spiritual leadership on innovative work behavior and the effect of knowledge sharing on job crafting. Furthermore, the roles of knowledge sharing as a mediator for the impact of spiritual leadership on innovative work behavior, and job crafting as a mediator for the relationship between variables, were also examined. This research employed quantitative analysis, including the PLS-SEM approach; SMART-PLS, a measurement and structural equation model was employed to explain the relationship between variables, and the effect of mediation. The population study consisted of all lecturers at the Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Economics and Business at the PTKIN in East Java, Indonesia, comprising 220 randomly-selected samples. The result showed spiritual leadership does not directly influence innovative work behavior, while knowledge sharing directly affects job crafting. The findings indicated knowledge sharing mediates the impact of spiritual leadership on innovative work behavior, and the role of job crafting as a mediator for the relationship between variables was accepted. Therefore, this research confirms a positive influence of knowledge sharing on job crafting, and indicates both factors play an important role in mediating between variables, and are important for lecturers' innovative work behavior.

Structural Relationship among Children's Academic Stress, Grit, Executive Function Difficulty, and Media Device Addiction (아동의 학업스트레스, 그릿, 집행기능 곤란 및 미디어기기 과의존 간의 구조적 관계)

  • This study examined the structural relationship between children's academic stress, grit, executive function difficulty, and media device addiction. Data on 1,132 children and their mothers from the 11th (2018)Panel Study on Korean Children were used for the study. Data were collected by Academic Stress Scale, Grit Scale-Children, Child-Adolescent Self-reported Executive Function Difficulty Screening Questionnaire, and K-Internet Addiction Scale. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 23.0 program with Pearson correlation, structural equation model and bootstrapping. The main results were as follows. 1) Children's academic stress had a negative influence on their grit. 2) Children's grit had a negative influence on their executive function difficulty and media device addiction. 3) Children's executive function difficulty had a positive influence on their media device addiction. 4) The relationship between children's academic stress and media device addiction was mediated by their grit and executive function difficulty. This study is significant in the sense that it found protective factors and risk factors for children's addiction to media devices. We suggest that children's grit be improved, and their academic stress and executive function difficulty be reduced to prevent and mediate children's media device addiction.

The influence of pre-service early childhood teachers' civic awareness on their ability to teach democratic citizenship education: The mediating role of multicultural beliefs

  • This study aims to investigate the impact of pre-service early childhood teachers' civic awareness and multicultural beliefs on their ability to teach democratic citizenship education and to verify the mediating effect of multicultural beliefs in the relationship between civic awareness and the ability to teach democratic citizenship education. The subjects of the study were 226 pre-service early childhood teachers, and a survey was conducted. As a result of the study, first, the civic awareness of pre-service early childhood teachers influenced the ability to teach democratic citizenship education, and the influence of the sub-variables of civic awareness was in the order of rights awareness, responsibility, community awareness, and rational decision-making awareness. Second, the multicultural beliefs of pre-service early childhood teachers also affected the ability to teach democratic citizenship education, and multicultural understanding had the strongest influence among the sub-variables of multicultural beliefs. Thirdly, we found that multicultural beliefs partially mediated the relationship between civic awareness and the ability to teach democratic citizenship education. Additionally, the results highlight the importance of educational interventions targeting multicultural beliefs, as they partially mediate the relationship between civic awareness and the ability to teach democratic citizenship education.
