  • The development of logistics technology due to the 4th Industrial Revolution and logistics 4.0 has changed the logistics environment from offline to online, and the growth of the online market has accelerated due to the recent increase in non-face-to-face delivery due to COVID-19. Such growth in the online market has expanded the logistics market for delivery, and contributes to creating an advanced logistics ecosystem as last mile services and logistics technologies begin to grow together. As traffic and environmental problems arise as a result, interest in transportation means of cargo increases, and changes to cargo electric vehicles and delivery cycles are being considered. However, since mass transportation of transportation focused on terminal delivery such as cargo electric vehicles and delivery cycles is limited in handling large quantities in urban areas, methods for efficiently transporting cargo while considering the environment are being devised. In order to solve such environmental problems and increase the efficiency of logistics delivery in urban areas, technologies using underground spaces based on existing urban railroads are being developed. In this study, a study was conducted on the establishment of evaluation criteria for selecting a test bed, which is a space for applying the system.

  • Technologies of the 4th industrial revolution have been unknowingly seeping into our lives. Many IoT based home security systems are using the convolutional neural network(CNN) as good biometrics to recognize a face and protect home and family from intruders since CNN has demonstrated its excellent ability in image recognition. In this paper, three layouts of CNN for 2D and 2.5D image of small dataset with various input image size and filter size are explored. The simulation results show that the layout of CNN with 50*50 input size of 2.5D image, 2 convolution and max pooling layer, and 3*3 filter size for small dataset of 2.5D image is optimal for a home security system with recognition accuracy of 0.966. In addition, the longest CPU time consumption for one input image is 0.057S. The proposed layout of CNN for a face recognition is suitable to control the actuators in the home security system because a home security system requires good face recognition and short recognition time.

  • Nitrous oxide($N_2O$) concentration in the atmosphere has been constantly increased by the human activities with industrial growth after the industrial revolution. One of factors to increase $N_2O$ concentration in the atmosphere is the $N_2O$ emission caused by the combustion of marine fuel. Especially, a sulfur component included in marine fuel oils is known as increasing the $N_2O$ formation in diesel combustion. Form this point of view, $N_2O$ emission from a ship is not negligible. On the other hand, Exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) that have thermal, chemical and dilution effect is effective method for reducing the NOx emission. In this study, an author investigated $N_2O$ reduction by using EGR on a direct injection diesel engine. The test engine was a 4-stroke diesel engine with maximum output of 12 kW at 2600rpm, and operating condition of the engine was a fixed load of 75%. The experimental oil was a blend-fuel that were adjusted with sulfur ratio of 3.5%, and EGR ratio of 0%, 10%, 20% and 30%. In conclusion, diesel fuel that contained 3.5% sulfur component increased $SO_2$ emission in exhaust gas, and increment of EGR ratio reduced NO emission. Moreover, $N_2O$ emission was decreased as over 50% at EGR ratio of 10% and reduced 100% at EGR ratio of 30% compared with $N_2O$ emission of 0% EGR ratio.
