Drones are used in various fields, including land survey, transportation, forestry/agriculture, marine, environment, disaster prevention, water resources, cultural assets, and construction, as their industrial importance and market size have increased. In this study, image data for deep learning was collected using a mavic3 drone capturing images at a shooting altitude was 20 m with ×7 magnification. Swin Transformer and UperNet were employed as the backbone and architecture of the deep learning model. About 800 sheets of labeled data were augmented to increase the amount of data. The learning process encompassed three rounds. The Cross-Entropy loss function was used in the first and second learning; the Tversky loss function was used in the third learning. In the future, when the crack detection model is advanced through convergence with the Internet of Things (IoT) through additional research, it will be possible to detect patching or potholes. In addition, it is expected that real-time detection tasks of drones can quickly secure the detection of pavement maintenance sections.
With the advent of the Internet and the development of mobile digital devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs, the communication service paradigm began to shift from existing voice services to data services. Recently, as social network services (SNS) are activated and 4th industrial revolution technologies centered on ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) such as Big Data, Blockchain, Cloud, and 5G/6G are rapidly developed, the amount of shared data type and the amount of data are increasing rapidly. As the transition to a digital society begins actively, the importance of using data information, as well as the economic and social values of personal information are becoming increasingly important. As a result, they are actively discussing policies to revitalize the data information industry around the world and ways to efficiently obtain, analyze, and utilize increasingly diverse and vast data, as well as to protect/guarantee the rights of information subjects (providers) in various fields such as society, culture, economy, and politics.. In this paper, in order to improve the self-determination right of personal information on data produced by information subjects, and further expand the use of safe data and the data economy, a differentiated data trusts system was considered and suggested. In addition, the components and data trusts procedures necessary to efficiently operate the data trusts system in Korea were considered, and the non-profit data trusts system and the for-profit data trusts system were considered as a way to flexibly operate the data trusts system. Furthermore, the legal items necessary for the implementation of the data trusts system were investigated and considered. In this paper, in order to propose a domestic data trusts system, cases related to existing data trusts systems such as the United States, Japan, and Korea were reviewed and analyzed. In addition, in order to prepare legislation necessary for the data trusts system, data-related laws in major countries and domestic legal and policy trends were reviewed to study the rights that conflict or overlap with existing laws, and differences were investigated and considered. The Data trusts system proposed in this paper is a reasonable system that is expected to recognize the asset value of data in the capitalist market economy system, to provide legitimate compensation for data produced by data subjects, and further to contribute greatly to the use of safe data and creation of a new service market.
Recently, the importance of elemental technologies constituting smart factories is increasing due to the 4th Industrial Revolution, and simulation is widely used as a tool to learn these technologies. In particular, PID control is an automatic control technique used in various fields, and most of them analyze mathematical models in certain situations or research on application development with built-in controllers. In actual educational environment requires PID simulator training as well as PID control principles. In this paper, we propose a model that enables education and practice of various PID controls through 3D simulation. The proposed model implemented virtual balls and Fan and implemented PID control by configuring a system so that the force can be lifted by the air pressure generated in the Fan. At this time, the height of the ball was expressed in a graph according to each gain value of the PID controller and then compared with the actual system, and through this, satisfactory results sufficiently applicable to the actual class were confirmed. Through the proposed model, it is expected that the rapidly increasing elemental technology of smart factories can be used in various ways in a remote classroom environment.
This study is to suggest ways to overcome the social exclusion experienced by migrants in Korean society and achieve social integration, focusing on the fact that social exclusion continues in many fields along with the increasing number of migrants. The research results are as follows. First, the legal system related to migrants must be enacted and revised. As the number of migrants increases, various legal and institutional enactments as well as reorganization of related laws are inevitable. Immigrants should be allowed to overcome social exclusion so that their cultural uniqueness and value are recognized and preserved, and they are given the same qualifications and abilities as the residents. Second, migrants' political participation must be guaranteed. When the political participation of migrants, which is currently only open to a small part, is guaranteed, Korean society can be seen as progressing one step toward a multicultural society. Third, residents and migrants must coexist. As a premise of this, it is necessary to prepare a ground where social exclusion can be overcome so that migrants can coexist. Immigrants should be able to develop a relationship of coexistence in the reality that social exclusion is progressing in each field compared to permanent residents. In conclusion, in order for the increasing number of immigrants to settle in Korean society, social integration can be achieved only when social exclusion imposed on immigrants is overcome.
Among the five promotion strategies of Defense Innovation 4.0(DI 4.0), the military structure/operation optimization strategy aims to innovate the military structure based on advanced science&technology(S&T), and to integrate advanced S&T in the field of defense operation such as education&training and human resource development. As the future battlefield expands to AI-based unmanned/robot combat systems, space, cyberspace, and electromagnetic fields, it is necessary to train officers with the capabilities required in these battlefields. It is necessary to develop capabilities from junior officers who will lead the future battlefield to operating core advanced power based on the 4th industrial revolution S&T. We review the education system of the military in universities and propose a method of redesigning the education system that is compatible with DI 4.0 and can develop technology-intensive capabilities based on advanced S&T. We propose a operation plan of major and extra-programs that can develop the capabilities of junior officers required for the future battlefield, and also suggest ways to support the army's practical training.
While extensive research is being conducted to reduce greenhouse gases in industrial fields, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has implemented regulations to actively reduce CO2 emissions from ships, such as energy efficiency design index (EEDI), energy efficiency existing ship index (EEXI), energy efficiency operational indicator (EEOI), and carbon intensity indicator (CII). These regulations play an important role for the design and operation of ships. However, the calculation of the index and indicator might be complex depending on the types and size of the ship. Here, to calculate the EEDI of two target vessels, first, the ships were set as Deadweight (DWT) 50K container and 300K very large crude-oil carrier (VLCC) considering the type and size of those ships along with the engine types and power. Equations and parameters from the marine pollution treaty (MARPOL) Annex VI, IMO marine environment protection committee (MEPC) resolution were used to estimate the EEDI and their changes. Technical measures were subsequently applied to satisfy the IMO regulations, such as reducing speed, energy saving devices (ESD), and onboard CO2 capture system. Process simulation model using Aspen Plus v10 was developed for the onboard CO2 capture system. The obtained results suggested that the fuel change from Marine diesel oil (MDO) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) was the most effective way to reduce EEDI, considering the limited supply of the alternative clean fuels. Decreasing ship speed was the next effective option to meet the regulation until Phase 4. In case of container, the attained EEDI while converting fuel from Diesel oil (DO) to LNG was reduced by 27.35%. With speed reduction, the EEDI was improved by 21.76% of the EEDI based on DO. Pertaining to VLCC, 27.31% and 22.10% improvements were observed, which were comparable to those for the container. However, for both vessels, additional measure is required to meet Phase 5, demanding the reduction of 70%. Therefore, onboard CO2 capture system was designed for both KCS (Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean Engineering (KRISO) container ship) and KVLCC2 (KRISO VLCC) to meet the Phase 5 standard in the process simulation. The absorber column was designed with a diameter of 1.2-3.5 m and height of 11.3 m. The stripper column was 0.6-1.5 m in diameter and 8.8-9.6 m in height. The obtained results suggested that a combination of ESD, speed reduction, and fuel change was effective for reducing the EEDI; and onboard CO2 capture system may be required for Phase 5.

Along with the 4th Industrial Revolution, the impact of "unmanned" is affecting all fields around the world, and in particular, in the military sector, "unmanned" is so important that it occupies a part of the main combat system. Recently, the South Korean military is facing a crisis due to the North Korea's UAV incident that invaded our airspace and descended to Seoul. In response, the South Korea military declared its willingness and countermeasures to capture and destroy North Korea's UAV. However, as the technological development of UAV continues and the utilization plan is expanding, the countermeasures for UAV at the current level can be useless. Also, the threat from North Korea is not just UAV. North Korea has practically a nuclear power and is set to conduct its seventh nuclear test, and its missile technology is also being advanced, with 38 arounds of 67 missile tests conducted in 2022 alone. It is also developing five key strategic weapons that can pose a fatal threat to Korea, and North Korea's strong conventional forces are located around the NLL(Northern Limit Line), and the port of Long Range Artillery is facing the Seoul metropolitan area. It is important to respond to North Korea's UAV threats, which are now receiving much attention, but it will be necessary to comprehensively analyze and clearly prioritize North Korea's threats and use a limited budget to respond to them.
This study discussed production, demand, and future prospects of rubidium, which is an alkali group metal that is highly reactive to various media and requires carefulness in handling, but no significant environmental hazard of rubidium has been reported yet. Rubidium is used in various fields such as optoelectronic equipment, biomedical, and chemical industries. Because of difficulty in production as well as limited demand, the transaction price of rubidium is relatively high, but its detail information such as market status and potential growth is uncertain. However, if the mass production of versatile ultra-high-performance equipment such as quantum computers and the necessity of rubidium use in the equipment are confirmed, there is a possibility that the rubidium market will expand in the future. Rubidium is often found together with lithium, beryllium, and cesium, and may be present in granite containing minerals such as lepidolite and pollucite, as well as in seawater and industrial waste. Several technologies such as acid leaching, roasting, solvent extraction, and adsorption are used to recover rubidium. The maximum recovery efficiency of the rubidium from the sources and the processing above is generally high, but, in many practices, rubidium is not the main recovery target, and therefore the actual recovery effects should depend on presence of other valuable components or impurities, together with recovery costs, energy consumption, environmental issues, etc. In conclusion, although the current production and consumption of rubidium are limited, with consideration of the possible market fluctuations according to the emergence of large-scale demand sources, etc., further investigations by related institutions should be necessary.

Currently, the world's population has already entered a super-aging era, and the rate is expected to increase rapidly to about 40% by 2050. However, the rapid development of automation technology and the online service sector, the main technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, are still further isolating them in a world where many inconveniences and development technologies are applied. As such, alienation in daily life is widely expanded in various fields, but the financial service sector is one of the must-use areas regardless of age because of its strong nature in the public service sector, and is a very important factor in the period when branches are rapidly decreasing. However, the current utilization rate of mobile banking services is not around 5%, so users over 60 are rarely able to use them. The UX design of the most frequently used remittance service screen in mobile banking services was proposed, and the difficulty of trying to find the preferred bank among 56 or more banks was solved by analyzing the usage rate of each bank and dividing it into three stages by age group from 50 or older. In addition, it was designed to strengthen customized services by showing their recently used banks as the top priority. The design proposed in this study obtained an average of 4.8 points or more out of 5 points as a result of usability satisfaction through interviews with less than 50 senior groups. This study is believed to help each bank upgrade its different mobile banking designs in a unified manner.

In recent years, technologies forecasting demand based on deep learning and big data have accelerated the smartification of the field of e-commerce, logistics and distribution areas. In particular, ports, which are the center of global transportation networks and modern intelligent logistics, are rapidly responding to changes in the global economy and port environment caused by the 4th industrial revolution. Port traffic forecasting will have an important impact in various fields such as new port construction, port expansion, and terminal operation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to compare the time series analysis and deep learning analysis, which are often used for port traffic prediction, and to derive a prediction model suitable for the future container prediction of Busan Port. In addition, external variables related to trade volume changes were selected as correlations and applied to the multivariate deep learning prediction model. As a result, it was found that the LSTM error was low in the single-variable prediction model using only Busan Port container freight volume, and the LSTM error was also low in the multivariate prediction model using external variables.
