I construct a chaotically driven contraction system having some analogy with the information transfer mechanism in the brain system especially from CA1 cell to CA3 cell known from the empirical result. And I consider the properties of the response system on a state space according to the external input into the drive neuron by observing the fractal hierarchical structure. Then I induce the relation between the information about state transition of the chaotic time series and the spatial information on a fractal attractor to confirm the possibility of encoding of time series data to spatial information.

We can reduce delays and number of stops in the traffic area by means of optimal design of traffic signal system. A computer simulation model to simulate and predict the traffic signal system of Jong-Ro 4-th street was developed for determination of optimal cycle time. This simulation model was developed in relation to Jong-Ro 4-th street, but this model can be applied for other places with small modification.

In Manufacturing using time-based strategies, as a competitive advantage, time is the equivalent of productivity, quality, innovation. In addition, time-based sourcing's impact on competiveness is not limited to cost control but also influences the performance of its adoption. This paper is to examine the relation between the level of time-recognition and supporting and performance of time-based sourcing by the empirical study.

The short-term production planning of an automated manufacturing system is to determine the production rate of each part type or family of part types. The purpose of this paper is to develop an optimal algorithm for solving the short-term production planning problem while machine failures, repairs. and changes in demand requirements are anticipated. The problem is formulated by LP and it shows that the production surplus is approached or stays at the hedging point. In addition, the long-term average frequencies of set-us with relation to a multilevel hierarchical production planing scheme are considered An example to show the effectiveness of the algorithm is presented.

This study is on the Management by Policy-Deployment(MBP) a Japanese-devised management system which recently call a widespread awareness and applications among major Korean Industries. The principal nature of MBP was compared with Management by Objectives(MBO) as these two systems share similarities in basic nature. Then the major application problems of MBP encountered by the practicing managers were encountered and examined In relation to the Japanese firms organizational culture.

This study sets a goal of establishing work standard and standard time in a machine tool process consisted of high-priced NC machine tools. Firstly, the theories of work standard and standard time in the field of NC machine tools are studies. Secondly, the theories are actually applied to a manufacturing company; work standard sheets are developed and applied to a machining center haying low operation rate, and then the increase in productivity is compared. Finally, problems to be studied later in relation to work standard and standard time are presented.

environmental has given rise to a world where consumer persue satisfaction in quality and quantity of products. From this point of view, a study of the impact of logo design on brand association and consumer emotions is very important and useful. For this study, we investigate on the basis of preceding studies. Finally, it is thought that it will be necessary to conduct a more specific study on the relation between brand association and consumer emotions.

This study was designed to determine anxiety factors and levels of anxiety of foreign industrial workers. One hundred and seventy five workers were researched who were working in Guro Working Complex, Ansan City and Sungnam City Working Complex asking 60 questionnaires from Feb. 25, 1996 to April 12, 1996. The results were as follows ; 1. The 30.3% of foreign workers were from Nepal. 17.7% from Bangladesh 10.9% from Srilanka, 14.9% from Philippines, 1.1% from Ghana. 80% of foreign workers were male, 77.7% were single and most of then were in the age from 25 to 34. 37.1% of foreign workers had not lived in Korea less than 12 months, 58.8% graduated from college, 33.7% from highschool, and more than half lived in a dormitory. 2. On the anxiety level related to subject workers' general characteristics, the workers level from Nepal recorded the highest point 2.70 statistically showing a significant difference(P=0.0003). On the physical anxiety level, the workers from Nepal recorded a significantly low point comparing with Jamaica, Burma, Vietnam and Nigeria(P=0.01). 3. Emotional anxiety level marked the highest on the workers living as a tenant comparing with the workers in dormitory. 4. On anxiety factors, the emotional anxiety recoded the highest, the social anxiety and the somatic anxiety. 5. On the relation between the anxiety factor, the somatic anxiety factor had a relation with emotional, environmental, and occupational factors and on the other relation between the anxiety factor and emotional factor had a relation with environmental, social, cultural factors. Moreover, the environmental factor had a relation with the cultural factor, social factor had a relation with the cultural factor, and cultural factor was related to the occupational factor.
