Effects of Logistics organization practices and Resources Circulation factor on Firm Performance (물류분야에서의 자원순환형시스템 구축 활동요인과 물류조직특성이 물류성과에 미치는 효과)

  • For a sustainable development, the resources circulation system should be established and required alternative logistics area of enterprises. In this paper, we are to suggest a direction through analysis effects, and reduce, recycle, reuse factor of transportation, material handling, packing, information, management in logistics function, and effects of logistics organization on Firm Performance. We found significant correlations between the constructs extracted above, and between the constructs and firm's performance. This study was conducted with the subjects of manufacturing enterprises with concurrent reviews of literature and statistical analysis, and the meaning of this study would be the analysis of the influencers of the resources circulation system.

  • This paper discusses a scheduling problem on object-oriented developments over multiple teams with limited resources in matrix organization. The objective of the problem is to minimize the makespan of overall projects. There are tangible and intangible advantages such as efficient resource share, improvement of productivity, development efforts and cost reduction, etc. by dispatching resources properly to the development teams. Traditionally, the project scheduling has been done with a manager's intuition or heuristic. We present a scheduling model with illustrative examples, stochastic search approach, and apply a variety of problems generated randomly to the approach. The results are analysed.

  • The need for organization to formulate an appropriate strategies and tactics for the management of EUC has been repeatedly emphasized in the MIS literature. Yet to date an absence of explicite EUC strategies seems to be the overwhelming norm. The purpose of this paper, under the assumption that EUC is an organization innovation, is to contribute what EUC management is most effective for a given organization at a particular point in time. 1.   • The purpose of this study is to propose a model built on the theoretical foundation of ecological sensitivity applicable to group and coaching process for organization members in industry management environment. For this, I have looked into theoretical foundation basis-foundation required for the ecological sensitivity process based on ecological discourse, based on which I have proposed a process model. The ecological basis-foundation with regards to ecological sensitivity dealt with in this paper includes 1)Crisis awareness, 2)Acquisition of ecological unconsciousness, 3)Fostering green imagination and 4)Setting targets.

  • This research examines the spatial development of rural industrial estates (Nong-gong Jigu) in Chonbuk province and gives insight into the strategies for economic development in the entire region. Selected location factors which are likely to pull new investment into the estates are examined by using questionnaires. Few loction factors except nonlocal factors can be found in explaining why location choices are made. The irrelevance of the analysis based on location factors suggests that an alternative approach should analyze changes in the spatial development of the rural industrial estates. Such an alternative is to understand the dynamics of the spatial organization of production by focusing on characteistics of plant closing in the rural industrial estates. To take into account of the characteristics of plant closing we provide the hypothesized relationships between employment size, organizational structure, inter and intra industrial linkage, characteristics of production processes, and availability of local labor market and the likelihood of closing. A logit model is then made to identify the selected factors which might influence the probability of plant closing. The results from the logit analysis and their implications suggest that the policy should be more concerned with the characteristics of firms, such as size and ownership, as well as of the local labor markets. Given that the Chonbuk region has experienced rapid population decline, together with its poor industrial base, it seems that the success of the policy in the declined rural areas in less certain.

  • In the recent era of the fourth industrial revolution, many industries aim to maximize the efficiency of products and services by introducing cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data. In this situation, organizational culture is changing a lot due to the influx of the MZ generation with strong individualistic tendencies and the decreased face-to-face communication between members. However, active communication with colleagues is still essential to maximize performance, and the margins created by simplifying work processes and automating processes must be used for creating work performance. This requires cooperation and commitment through the job immersion of members who have an active attitude. This study analyzed how the organization's autonomous work environment and trust among members, which are creative work performance conditions, affect job immersion using raw data from the Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute. As a result, it was found that both the organization's autonomous working environment and trust among members significantly effected the members' job immersion. in order to achieve productivity and value improvement in companies, efforts are needed to increase workers' job immersion by building an autonomous working environment and trust among members. The results of this study are expected to contribute significantly to the search for ways to increase workers' job commitment to improve organizational productivity.

  • Purpose: To develop efficient PL response system, SMEs should decide which component of PL response system is important and implemented with priority under limited resources. To accomplish this goal, we propose strategic priority components of PL response system for SME manufacturer. Methods: We categorize the components of PL response system based on prior research results - System, Organization, Training, Technology, Cost, and Awareness. AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) is applied to extract important components of PL response system, which is used in assigning the priority of component. To analyze effects of each components, performance sensitivity analysis is applied. Results: The survey analysis results show Technology is the most important components. Organization and Cost component are follows. As the importance of Technology is changed, we can find Organization, Cost is second and third important components. Conclusion: Our research shows Technology which is related to make a safe product with systematic process, is a basic enabler of PL response system. Also, building a PL team and securing a budget for PL activity should be carry out with limited resources.

  • Video game industry has undergone the drastic changes for forty-year history. The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of the historical evolution of the U.S. video game industry. To achieve this goal, this study has chosen the industrial organization model as the theoretical framework. This study found that the market structure as well as the market conduct in the U.S. video game industry changed drastically. This study concludes that the change of the market structure of the U.S. video game industry relates to the change of market conduct. This study could serve as the basis for future research on the economic analysis of video game industry.

The Effect of Strategic Innovation on Company Performance: A Case Study of the Industrial Estate of Thailand

  • The purpose of this study to examine the effect of strategic innovation on organization development, organizational effectiveness, and firm performance of companies in the Industrial Estate of Thailand. The sample of this study was 360 companies and data was collected by distributing questionnaires through mail and Google form. Out of the 360 questionnaires, 192 responses were received and usable. The study period was November 2020 to February 2021. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test hypotheses regarding the influence of strategic innovation on organization development, organizational effectiveness, and firm performance. The results of this study show that strategic innovation has a positive direct effect on organization development, organizational effectiveness, and firm performance. Organizational development has no significant relationship with organizational effectiveness and firm performance, and organizational effectiveness has no significant relationship with firm performance. Strategic innovation has a strong direct positive effect on the company's performance. It indicated that strategic innovation is essential for organizations to drive business growth, generate value for the company and its customers, and create a competitive advantage. This type of innovation is essential for organizations to adapt to the speed of technology change. In addition, theoretical contributions, managerial contributions, limitations, and future research recommendations were presented in this study, including conclusions were shown.
