  • This paper describes the voltage induced at neutral line and the proper location of lightning arrester in combined 22.9 kV class distribution line jointed overhead line and cable each other Modeling is established in ATP Draw to perform simulation. Simulated distribution line at this paper consists of distribution line 4.2km and underground distribution line 2km. Overvoltage and induced voltage are analyzed at several point of combined line. Analysis results was compared to select the best point to install arrester. Such analysis technology will be applied to obtaining capacity and location of arrester in the similar combined distribution line.

  • This paper analyses the induced voltage characteristic of CCPU with unbalanced current from distribution line on underground transmission power cable systems. In switching surge strokes, in order to obtain the data of induced voltage/current on CCPU, the actual proof test carried out. This paper is expected to contribute the establishment of proper protection methods of CCPU against the unbalanced current from distribution line on underground transmission power cable systems.

  • Gaspipe buried close to power lines can be subjected to hazardous induction effects, especially during single line to ground faults. Accordingly, it is necessary to take into consideration for analysis of induced voltage on a gaspipeline in transmission lines. This paper analyses the induced voltage on the gaspipeline due to single line to ground faults of the transmission lines using EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transients Program).

  • This study was designed to satisfy induced voltage limits considering drive's specifications and optimize design reducing usage of permanent magnet, by increasing salient poles ratio, when designing 150kW IPMSM. In order to achieve these objectives, design plans were determined, based on Ld and Lq parameters of a basic design model, according to changes in salient poles ratio and flux linkage using IPMSM's voltage equation and torque equation and then, required torque and induced voltage were analyzed using Sensitivity Analysis. Based on analysis data, the optimum design was performed and basic model's characteristics were compared to final model's through Gradient-Based Optimization Technique.

  • 본 논문은 고속 전기철도 시설로 인해 가입자 통신선로에서 발생하는 전력유도에 대한 현상과 관련 규정 및 유도전압 측정 결과를 분석한 것이다. 전력유도 현상의 명확한 이해를 돕기 위하여 이론적 배경을 제시하였고, 국내 법규에서 이상시유도위험전압, 상시유도위험종전압, 기기오동작유도종전압, 잡음전압 등으로 구분되는 유도전압 중에서 공통모드 전압에 해당하는 상시유도위험종전압과 잡음평형도 평가에 필요한 선대지잡음전압 및 차동모드전압인 선간잡음전압을 우리나라 고시 측정방법에 따라 측정하였다. 측정을 위해 이격거리가 각각 약 20 m와 300 m인 2 km 길이의 통신선로를 설치하여 실험하였으며 측정된 유도전압의 변화 및 파형 특성 등을 비교, 분석함으로써 고속전철에 의한 통신선로 전력유도 현상을 고찰하고 현행 측정방법의 타당성을 검토하였다.

  • The technique of induced discharge by a pulsed CO2 laser is being applied to control electrical discharge path, material processing, triggered lightning for protecting the power equipments. In this paper, we have investigated about the characteristics of the induced discharge at atmospheric conditions by using a plasma channel, which is produced when a pulsed CO2 laser radiation is focused by a focusing mirror as a trigger source. A plasma channel produced by laser radiation has an effect on decreasing the threshold voltage and inducing the discharge in both needle electrodes. We have confirmed a delay time between a produced plasma channel and an electrical discharge after laser radiation. We provided the decreased voltage lower than the natural discharge voltage between electrode type of needles and was induced the discharge by forming a plasma channel between them. In this research we could understand the time delay of induced discharge by laser radiation, and the characteristics of the discharge cause by the decrease in the threshold voltage, and the polarity effect by changes of plasma channel positions between two electrodes.

  • The $2{\times}25kv$ AT electric power feeding method in the A.C. electric train adopts the one-phase power feeding method as the standard due to a voltage phase difference, and the distance between the two neighboring substations is 50km due to voltage drop. The one-phase power feeding method makes the system operation feasible, while making it unfavorable for power supply. Moreover, railroad involves large-capacity single-phase load, and if it is expected to continue to rise, it is necessary to research on measures to stabilize the supply of power to railroad cars with the existing facilities. In this study, a parallel power feeding method between neighboring substations is proposed to stabilize the supply of electric power to electric railroad cars under the 2*25kv AT power feeding method and the loop current induced by voltage phase difference between the two neighboring substations during parallel power feeding is investigated.

  • We have proposed a model to describe the current-voltage characteristics of fabricated devices using the Biot-Savart's law in order to develop superconducting flux flow transistors, The measured and calculated values, including induced voltage, transresistance and current gain were investigated in relation to the parallel flow of the vortices in a single microbridge. The predictions agreed very well with measured results.

  • The principle of the superconducting vortex flow transistor (SVFT) is based on control of the Abrikosov vortex flowing along a channel. The induced voltage is controlled by a bias current and a control current, instead of external magnetic field. The device is composed of parallel weak links with a nearby current control line. We explained the process to get an I-V characteristic equation and described the method to induce the external and internal magnetic field by the Biot-Savarts law in this paper. The equation can be used to predict the I-V curves for fabricated device. From the equation we demonstrated that the current-voltage characteristics were changed with input parameters. I-V characteristics were simulated to analyze a SVFT with multi-channel by a computer program.

  • This paper describes the surge calculations on cable cores and sheaths when an unit step surge is applied in a cable core. It is clear that the maximum core voltage appears at the ending point and maximum sheath voltage is induced at the sending points. It appears that the smaller grounding resistance can offer results having some trends which larger core voltage appears at the end point and smaller voltage is induced at the sending point.
