실내 대기환경과 중금속농도의 분포특성에 관한 연구 - 학교 환경의 중금속농도 (A Study on the Characteristics of Heavy Metal Concentration and Indoor Atmospheric Environments ; Heavy Metal Concentration in School Environments)

  • This paper alms to describe the indoor-outdoor air quality in school environment through the analyses of heavy metal concentration by inductively Coupled Plasma(ICPI, which were observed at some school environment, such as traffic area, industrial area seme-industrial area, and residence area. The results are as follows : (1) Regardless Indoor and outdoor, the area with the highest concentration of heavy metal is industrial area followed by traffic area, residence area and semi-industrial area in descending order of magnitude. And the heavy metal concentration of indoor is higher than that of outdoor. (2) The main heavy metal components with more high level concentration of Indoor than those of outdoor are Zn, Al, Ca and these heavy metal concentrations are higher in class than In corridor and outdoor.

  • The current paper describes the indoor/outdoor air quality in school environments through analyses of the heavy metal concentrations using Inductive Coupled Plasma(ICP). School environments in a heavy traffic area, two industrial areas, quasi-industrial area, and residential area were evaluated. The results were as follows: (1) The locations with the highest indoor and outdoor concentrations of heavy metals were the industrial areas followed by the heavy traffic area, residential area, and quasi-industrial area in a descending order of magnitude. Plus, the indoor heavy metal concentrations were higher then the outdoor ones. (2) The main heavy metal components were Zn, Al and Ca. Higher concentration levels were found indoors than outdoors. The heavy metal concentrations were also higher in the classrooms than in the corridor or outdoors. (3) The total heavy metal concentrations in the studied areas were highly dependent on the weather elements. including the relative humidity, mixing ratio, and wet-bulb depression. Accordingly, special ventilation systems are recommended to reduce air pollution in school environments.

여름철 실외 공기가 실내 공기질에 미치는 영향 (Influence on the Indoor Air Quality by Ambient Air during the Summer Season)

  • The purpose of thins study was to quantitatively determine the Indoor Infiltration of pollutants of outdoor origin. The relationship between Indoor and outdoor air is dependent, to a large extent. on the rate of k exchange between these two environments. Mean Indoor/outdoor ratios measured from thins study were: 0.70 for HNO3; 1.60 for HNO2: 0.56 far SOg: 1.30 for mf3: 0.96 for PM2.5(dP<2.5mm: 0.89 for SO4a': 0.87 for NO3· and 0.79 for NH4 'Mean Indoor concentrations for PMa s, SO4a., HNO9, NO3 and NIL' were similar to outdoor levels. Indoor HNO2 and mB3 values were h19her than outdoors. However, the Indoor level of SO2 was lower than ambient level.

A Comparative Study on Clinical Gait Abilities of Stroke Patients According to Indoor and Outdoor Environments

  • Objective: This study aimed to compare gait ability through gait evaluations in indoor and outdoor environments according to the general characteristics and walking ability of stroke patients. Design: Crossed-sectional study. Methods: The subjects of this study were 57 hospitalized stroke patients.The study subjects were asked to select an indoor environment and an outdoor environment in random order, and the Timed Up and Go Test (TUG), 10-Meter Walk Test (10MWT), Figure-Eight Walk Test (F8WT) and the Functional Gait Assessment (FGA) were used to assess each environment. Results: The TUG, 10MWT, F8WT time and number of steps, and FGA showed a significant decrease in gait ability in the outdoor environment compared to the indoor environment (p<0.05). Although the TUG, 10MWT, and the time required for the F8WT were statistically higher in the outdoor compared to the indoor environment at points 2, 3, and 4, but not 5 of the functional ambulatory category (FAC), significant increases in the number of steps of the F8WT were found in the outdoor compared to the indoor environment for only points 2 and 3 of the FAC (p<0.05). In the FAC 3 and 4, there was a statistically significant decrease in the outdoor compared to the indoor environment only in the FGA (p<0.05). Conclusions: Therefore, it has been shown that the gait ability of stroke patients is reduced in the outdoor environment compared to the gait ability in the indoor environment.

실내외 환경에서 센서노드의 성능 평가 (Performance Analysis of Wireless Sensor Nodes over Indoor and Outdoor Environments)

  • 오늘날 무선센서노드는 환경모니터링과 같은 다양한 응용분야에서 많이 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 실내환경에서 전파를 방해하는 장애물(콘크리트 내벽, 철문)과 2.4GHz의 무선랜(IEEE 802.11b/g)이 있는 환경에서 센서노드의 RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication)와 PER(Packet Error Rate)을 측정하였다. 또한 다양한 실외 환경에서 센서노드의 RSSI와 PER을 측정하였다. 본 논문을 통해 분석되어진 데이터를 바탕으로 실내외 환경에서 데이터의 손실을 최소화할 수 있는 안정적인 무선센서네트워크의 구축에 필요한 가이드라인을 제시한다.

초등학교 설계를 위한 디자인게임 방법에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Design Gaming Method for a Designing the Elementary School -Focused on Students' Preference of Physical Environments-)

  • The purpose of the study was to determine the way to improve the school environments especially focused on the elementary school through design gaming with children. Main purpose of the study was to establish the method to find how children experience school environments and the way to find their needs, feelings, and desires of the school facilities. The methods which have been used are design gaming consisted of picture card game, drawing favorable and unfavorable places, and making the wish list. 46 children in Seoul area participated in the study. The main physical environments which have been focused in the study are as follows; the type of classroom, atmosphere of library, indoor and outdoor leisure activity space, indoor and outdoor play area, and the pedestrian way from home to school and from school towards home. Quantitative and qualitative analysis were used to attempt to develop children's preference of each place and their wish about school environments. The results have been summarized based on the general preferences and differences of favorite and unfavorite places. The differences between grades and gender have also been discussed focused on the picture game and drawings of favorite and unfavorite places.

인천지역 일부 학교의 실내 및 대기 중 포름알데히드 농도 평가 (Assessment of Formaldehyde Concentration in Indoor and Outdoor Environments of Schools in Incheon)

  • This study evaluated formaldehyde concentration in classrooms and on roofs at 4 elementary schools, 3 middle schools and 3 high schools in Incheon City. These schools were chosen based on their surrounding environments that included industrial site, landfill, railway, 8-lane road and harbor. Indoor concentration ranged between 4.65 and $56.25{\mu}g/m^3$, while that of outdoor concentration was $1.23{\sim}10.22{\mu}g/m^3$, both of which were below $100{\mu}g/m^3$, a formaldehyde criterion stipulated by the School Health Act. Indoor concentration was higher than outdoor concentration by $1.4{\sim}5.9$ times, and there was a positive correlation between indoor and outdoor formaldehyde concentrations (R=0.49). As for indoor concentration, multi-use practice rooms had an average 2.8 times higher than that of usual classrooms with a statistically significant difference (p<0.01). Indoor formaldehyde concentration had a positive correlation with the construction year (R=0.55). The school close to the industrial complex had the highest ambient formaldehyde concentration, followed by the one near a landfill. The formaldehyde concentration in school in the vicinity of the industrial complex was twice or more than that of the school located other site. In conclusion, this study suggests that it is crucial to consider surrounding environments in selecting school sites, as it can influence ambient air contamination, as well as using construction material that emit less formaldehyde, in order to protect the health of students, teachers and school staff.

SDS-TWR based Location Compensation Mechanism for Localization System in Wireless Sensor Network

  • In this paper, the Location Compensation Mechanism using equivalent distance rate ($LCM_{edr}$) for localization system based on SDS-TWR (Symmetric Double-Sided Two-Way Ranging) in wireless sensor network is proposed. The performance of the mechanism is experimented in terms of two types of the localization tracking scenarios of indoor and outdoor environments in university campus. From the experimentations, the compensation ratio in the $LCM_{edr}$ is better than that in SDS-TWR about 90% in indoor/outdoor environments in scenario 1 but also is better than that of SDS-TWR about 91.7% in indoor environment and about 100% in outdoor environment in scenario 2 respectively.

단일 카메라를 이용한 이미지 유사도 비교 기반의 사용자 위치추정 (User Positioning Method Based on Image Similarity Comparison Using Single Camera)

  • 본 논문에서는 Fingerprint 기법의 Resource로 신호의 세기가 아닌 이미지를 이용해 좌표정보를 포함하는 이미지 기반의 데이터베이스를 구축하고, 사용자로부터 입력되는 이미지와 유사도 비교를 통해 사용자의 위치추정 기법에 대해 제안한다. Fingerprint 기법은 신호 세기뿐만 아니라 환경에 대한 지역적 잡음 정보들까지 모두 추정에 반영하므로 높은 위치 추정 정확도를 제공한다. 이미지의 유사도는 SURF 알고리즘을 통해 데이터베이스와 사용자 입력 이미지의 특징점을 검출하고, 동일한 특징점 간의 매칭을 통해 비교된다. 여기에서 우리는 RANSAC 알고리즘을 함께 사용하여 검출된 특징점의 노이즈 제거를 통해 이미지 유사도 비교의 정확도를 높였다. 제안하는 기법의 검증을 위해 두 건물의 실내와 주변 실외 환경에서 이미지를 획득하여 데이터베이스를 구축하고, 임의의 위치에서 사용자의 위치를 추정하였다. 추정 된 최종 위치는 데이터베이스에 저장 된 이미지가 가지는 좌표가 사용자의 위치와 가장 근접한 좌표로 검출되는지 확인하였으며 RANSAC을 통해 특징점의 노이즈 제거 전과 제거 후에 대한 이미지 유사도 비교의 성능을 분석하였다.

Performance of RF Interference Reduction Module in Indoor and Outdoor Environments

  • In this paper, the results of experiments conducted in indoor wired and outdoor wireless environments to reduce the interference impact of 5G mobile communication on fixed satellite services using RF Interference Reduction Module (IRM) are presented. Test results for interference signals with a 100MHz bandwidth in a wired environment demonstrate that RF IRM can reduce interference by more than 20dB in a 100MHz bandwidth. The performance of RF IRM was also tested in the S-band wireless environments. In the S-band wireless environments with interference signals having a 20MHz bandwidth, RF IRM exhibits interference reduction performance of 12-15dB, for signals with a 50MHz bandwidth, it shows 10-12dB interference reduction, and for signals with a 100MHz bandwidth, it demonstrates 5-10dB interference reduction. This paper shows that RF IRM can be used not only within transceivers but also in wireless environments to mitigate interference.
