As a step preliminary to the factor-analysis of a child-rearing attitude scale under construction, its preliminary form containing a total of 368 self-answered questions was administerd to 88 married women with one or more children in the grade school age. all graduates of colleges and in possession of a home telephone and a house, twice from one week apart. The test-retest correlation coefficients, calculated for each test item based on the subject's choice among the three response alternatives on two test ocasions, ranged from .80 to .10. The cut-off point of r=.41 or lower led to the elimination of 48 items. As a point of incidental interest, the rate of response concordance. The namber of subjects giving the same categroy response on two occasions was calculated for each item and it was correlated with its test. retest correlation coefficient. The two different indices of item test-retest reliability were found not related to each other. Empirical evidence, as well as rational justifications, was presented to show that the correlation coefficient is the better of the tow indices of item test-retest reliability.
The mating systems of two groups of natural populations of Gleditsia japonica var. koraiensis in Korea were determined using allozyme analysis. The result suggests that G. japonica var. koraiensis is predominantly outcrossing. The tm values of eight populations in Korea varied from 0.667 (Mdh-1) to 0.938 (ldh-1), giving an average 0.820. Population and individual outcrossing estimates were associated with flowering tree density or degree of spatial isolation. The reason for relatively low outcrossing rates of some populations could be attributed to reduction of effective population sizes of sib for the medicine, small population size, and isolation of flowering mature trees. The heterozygote excesses were observed in some natural populations, whereas other populations exhibited varying degrees of inbreeding and heterozygotes deficit. Thus, selection against homozygotes operated in the progeny populations throughout the life cycle.

People with visual disabilities suffer environmentally, socially, and technologically. Navigating through places and recognizing objects are already a big challenge for them who require assistance. This study aimed to develop an android-based assistive application for the visually impaired. Specifically, the study aimed to create a system that could aid visually impaired individuals performs significant tasks through object recognition and identifying locations through GPS and Google Maps. In this study, the researchers used an android phone allowing a visually impaired individual to go from one place to another with the aid of the application. Google Maps is integrated to utilize GPS in identifying locations and giving distance directions and the system has a cloud server used for storing pinned locations. Furthermore, Haar-like features were used in object recognition.
Purpose: Will more expensive gifts be more pleasurable and appreciated? This is a general expectation of gift-givers. According to the previous study on Americans (Flynn and Adams 2009), recipients tend to appreciate gifts regardless of their price. It indicates that there is an interaction effect between position (giving / receiving) and gift price. This study expands the previous study and aims to answer the following two questions: "Are such an interaction effect observed in Korean, too?" and "What types of people prefer expensive gifts?" Research design, data, and methodology: Study 1 of the current research repeated the Study 3 of Flynn and Adams (2009), with an iPod (high-priced gift condition) and a music CD (low-priced gift condition). That is, a 2 (gift price: high / low) x 2 (position: giver / receiver) between-group design was used. Study 2 used gift certificates of 100,000 won (high-priced gift condition) and 5,000-won gift (low-priced gift condition). Unlike the previous study that measured only one dependent variable (gratitude), this study added five more dependent variables in an attempt to exclude alternative explanations, such as endowment effects or emotional conflicts. This study also measured individualism / collectivism, face sensitivity, and materialism to explore the types of people who prefer expensive gifts. Results: The interaction effect between gift price and position on the level of appreciation was not significant. Meanwhile the main effect of gift price and of position were significant. The gift-recipient was more appreciative than the gift-givers' expectation regardless of the price of gifts. To investigate individual differences, individualism/collectivism, face sensitivity, and materialism were examined, but none of these variables were significantly related to the preference for expensive gifts. Respondents who received gift certificates in Study 2 were less grateful than those who received iPods or music CDs in Study 1. Conclusions: This study found that Koreans tend to be more grateful if they receive expensive gifts, in contrast to the Flynn and Adams (2009)'s study with Americans. In addition, gift-recipients appreciated more than givers' expectation and were more grateful when they received tangible products rather than gift certificates.
This study is to develop a learning program supporting how to teach multi-level of students in number and operating field in the elementary school. Mathematics requires different teaching ways for various standards of student in the school. However, in most of elementary school teachers are having hard time giving the proper lesson for each student due to the lack of supplementary classes and the excessive numbers of students in a class. Thus this research provides "Game-type learning Program" and supports individual learning lessons to give each student an opportunity to form a correct concept of number and operation. This system sets up suitable steps for each student by checking their leaning progress and accomplishment. When a student has a trouble, can give a help or show specific things which could be related with the matter. As a result, students have got more interests in studying math, furthermore, actually, the help and giving a clue helped students a lot in settling the problems.

This study has examined how the childcare teachers have been evaluating themselves on system absorption who have been working in the house of the children at the time when the sight of the society has been expanding to the house of the children through the spread of the understanding of the importance of the role and the strengthening of the leadership of the diverse types of the leadership of the childcare teachers in the house of the children, and also this study has observed the main causes affecting such situations. This study has also analyzed the main causes such as the cause of self understanding on job satisfaction of the children's house teachers, the cause of self understanding on the leadership of the principal, demographic characters, and characters related with the place of work affecting the system absorption(Emotional Absorption, Normative absorption, and lasting absorption) with the children's house teachers as the objects working in the area of the City of Seoul. The results of the analysis have showed that job satisfaction, individual consideration, intellectual stimulation, giving motive, age, schooling, type and scale of facility, grade and others have been appeared to have been significantly affecting the self evaluation on system absorption demographically. In other words, the child care teachers have had higher degree of reaction to the system absorption in affirmative direction when they come into contact with the leadership of the principal in raising the intellectual stimulation, providing the motivation, and giving consideration individually, and when they have higher evaluation on the job satisfaction they them selves understand. Based on such results the principal of the house of the children should spread the leadership for the careful operation of the house of the children for the teachers more positively, and what has been required was giving and developing the diverse operation service for the elevation of the job satisfaction of the childcare teachers.
As aging society progresses, it is necessary to establish a housing standard that provides a healthy, safe, and convenient environment for the elderly. The objective of the study is to propose a housing space standard that is geared towards elderly living in the urban area. Three steps were taken to attain the objective. First, characteristics of housing preference, spatial usage and furniture preference of the elderly were attained through a survey. The survey was conducted targeting the respondents of the ages 60 to 79 living in three different administrative districts in Seoul. Second, the required floor space to perform individual specific behavior using anthropometric dimension of the elderly was investigated by literature review. Lastly, floor space of each space is suggested combining each area for individual specific behavior which reflects characteristics of housing preference and spatial usage. The results of the research as follows. A bedroom was planned, which includes the function of receiving guests by giving the area for the placement of a sofa. The space for the use of dinning table for two person was planned in the kitchen and The space for the behavior of showering on a chair was planned in a bathroom. Lastly, the space for the behavior of taking off shoes on a chair was considered in the entrance area. Consequently, $35.4m^2$ is suggested as the necessary floor space for the elderly housing considering the characteristics of the elderly in urban area. However, because of space composition and space for accessibility, the additional space should be considered to plan the elderly housing.
The Purpose of this study is to find the effects of the portfolio assessment on elementary students' scientific knowledge, inquiry process skill, scientific attitudes in the teaching of science. And finally the parents' response to the portfolio assessment is also investigated. In order to reach the goal of this study, the investigator developed the evaluation instrument such as an experimental report and a cumulative observation sheet for the 4th-grade Unit-1 'Light Propagation' and Unit-3 'Separating Mixtures', and then these were administered to 42 4th-grade elementary students in Inchon. Based upon the findings and within the limitations of this study, several conclusions can be drawn regarding the problems investigated. First, as the portfolio assessment offers enough information about individual student's performance, it has a highly positive effect on evaluating the students' scientific knowledges. It can also make possible to grasp the several aspects of the student's progress. Second, the portfolio assessment can be implemented without giving students any psychological pressure from testing itself. Therefore, the portfolio assessment is an effective means of appraising inquiry process skills. Third, the portfolio assessment is effective to evaluate the students' attitude toward science by means of individual records which include such aspects that is hardly found by the teacher who teaches science in the class. Fourth, as most parents showed a positive response to this portfolio assessment, it is considered to be effective method of appraising the result of teaching science at elementary school. Accordingly, this study demonstrated that the portfolio assessment is an effective method that can assess students' scientific knowledges, inquiry process skills, and scientific attitudes gained from science teaching-learning. Therefore, it is necessary to implement the portfolio assessment to other grade students as well in the following study where teacher may give more encouragements and suggestions to sti dents for the better learning motives. Also teachers should suggest more definite evaluation criteria to students so that they may improve the students' self and peer evaluation skills.
Previous RFID systems exclusively manage the tags and readers for each company in individual manner. Thus, RFID system manager should understand and design specifications such as tag events, data format, and etc, based on individual companies. But it is very difficult to know all statements. To resolve theses problems, there has been conceptual research about policy-based RFID service management model that is not restrained from standards of typical RFID systems, including EPCglobal standard, and ISO/IEC standard. However, previous proposed service management model only aimed event management without including device management. Therefore, in this paper, we propose extended device management policy model for giving shape to the proposed policy-based RFID service management model. If the proposing device management policy model is used for device management, we can integrate control management for heterogeneous middleware, diverse RFID devices, and applications for each company. Moreover, we show that the RFID device management policy is translated and processed as an example using the proposing policy model in real-time RFID system.

Consequently, some educational materials were made, for example, question papers, commonness learning materials, choice learning materials. These materials were put in effect to the students to be able to succeed discovery learning. With this, the students were investigated an interest of mathematics and the influence giving at the studies attainment. And the students were put in effect the cooperation of group work through the small groups to improve uniformity and sturdiness of the mathematical education. The conclusion at the present research is as follows. 1) When the students put in effect the cooperation of group work through the small groups, the scholarly attainments of mathematics totally didn't display useful changes as improvement. However, the students of average and the low class gradually seemed to improve the scholarly attainments of mathematics as the help of the top class positively. 2) An individual and cooperation learning in the method of the cooperation of group work through the small groups displayed many changes at the learning attitude of the students by means of discovery learning thanks to the learning heads. 3) When the investigator put in effect the cooperation of group work through rather the small groups than the large groups, the numbers of the students experiencing interest about mathematics increased in 26% and this learning method should continue to progress.
