An Activity-Centric Quality Model of Software

  • In this paper, software activity, software activity instance, and the quality of the activity instance are defined as the 'activity which is performed on the software product by a person or a group of persons,' the 'distinctive and individual performance of software activity,' and the 'performer's evaluation on how good or bad his/her own activity instance is,' respectively. The representative values of the instance quality population associated with a product and its sub-population are defined as the (software) activity quality and activity quality characteristic of the product, respectively. The activity quality model in this paper classifies activity quality characteristics according to the classification hierarchy of software activity by the goal. In the model, a quality characteristic can have two types of sub-characteristics : Special sub-characteristic and component sub-characteristic, where the former is its super-characteristic too simultaneously and the latter is not its super-characteristic but a part of its super-characteristic. The activity quality model is parsimonious, coherent, and easy to understand and use. The activity quality model can serve as a corner stone on which a software quality body of knowledge, which constituted with a set of models parsimonious, coherent, and easy to understand and use and the theories explaining the cause-and-relationships among the models, can be built. The body of knowledge can be called the (grand) activity-centric quality model of software.

소셜 로그인 서비스 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인: 개인 혁신성의 조절효과 (Factors Affecting Attitudes toward Social Login Services: The Moderating Role of Individual Innovativeness)

  • Due to the increase in the use of the Internet, it is becoming more common to provide or use a social login for registering for services. Herein, the purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of security, individual innovativeness, ubiquity and brand awareness on the use of social log-in service through the individuals' attitude who have memorized various IDs and passwords by using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). In addition, the effect of individual innovativeness on the relationship between social login characteristic factors and attitudes toward social login services are examined. Based on the statistical results, it is found that the significant factors affecting the attitude toward the social login service are the security, ubiquity, brand awareness and perceived usefulness. Moreover, the individual innovativeness is found to have the moderating effects in the relationship between the three factors (the perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use, and security) and attitude toward the social login service. Positive attitudes increase with the usefulness, ease of using social login serive when individual innovativeness is high. On the other hand, when individual innovativeness is low, the stronger the effect of security on attitude toward the social login services. In accordance with these results, the implications and limitations of this study are discussed.

  • Geotechnical limit state design methods; LRFD of North America is an approach that estimates resistance using design model and then multiplies resistance factor by calculated resistance to reflect the uncertainty of geomaterials and design models; whereas, Eurocode of the Europe employs the partial resistance factor applied directly to each variable in the resistance equation that individual soil properties such as cohesion and angle of internal friction are applied. This discussion paper is a study on characteristic value which has globally been argued through processing of development of Eurocode 7 for geotechnical design even to the present. Estimating the characteristic value of soil properties affects not only determination of design value applied directly to design of geotechnical structures, but also economic feasibility and stability of the structures.

일화 재인 기억에서 강화에 근거한 의사결정 준거 학습의 특성 개인차 연구 (Trait individual difference of reinforcement-based decision criterial learning during episodic recognition judgments)

  • 이전의 연구들이 외부 피드백 정보에 대한 반응민감도에 성격특성적 개인차가 반영된다는 사실을 밝힌바 있지만, 재인기억과 관련한 의사결정에서 이러한 기질 혹은 특성적 개인차가 어떻게 관여하는지는 아직 알려진 바가 없다. 본 연구는 재인기억 과제에서 피드백에 근거한 의사결정 준거의 순응적 변화정도와 피드백에 대한 일반적 반응민감도의 개인차간 관계를 살펴보았다. 통제 조건인 실험 1에서는 올바른 피드백 조건이 의사결정 준거의 유동성에 영향을 미치지 않음을 보인 반면 피드백 조작이 이루어진 실험 2에서는 확신도가 높은 오기억 반응에만 선택적으로 편향된 피드백이 주어졌음에도 전반적인 Old/New 반응 범주의 결정준거 또한 순응적으로 이동함이 나타났다. 보다 중요하게 이 피드백에 근거한 의사결정 준거 학습에 나타나는 개별 피험자들의 반응민감도 차이가 강화 추구 혹은 불안 회피와 밀접하게 관련된 안정적 성격(Behavioral Activation System-BAS 혹은Behavioral Inhibition System-BIS)의 개인차에 의해 유의미하게 예측될 수 있음이 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 그동안 외현적인 재인 기억 의사 결정에 있어서 중요하게 여기지 않았던 점증적 강화학습 기제가 결정 준거의 설정에 관여할 수 있음을 보여준다는 데에서 중요한 의미를 찾을 수 있다.

The aspect of homesickness in the Yeonhaengnok : The first, the traveler express the reason that cause the homesickness. The reason that cause the homesickness is various. The second, the traveler express the emotional conflict between worry about the family and ambition of travel in Yeonhaengsanmun. The third, the traveler express the reason that cause the homesickness and yearn for his home. The traveler express the individual experience connected with the family in Yeonhaengsanmun, the universal experience connected with the family in Yeonhaenghansi. The author of synthesizes homesickness. The second, the scenery rouse the traveler' homesickness and the traveler expresses homesickness by the empathy to the scenery. The mean of expressing by the scenery is that the expression succeed the 17th century Yeonhaenggasa. The third, the traveler concretely expresses his inner world. The mean of concretely expressing the inner world is that the expression is related to the realism of expressing the inner world.

장애노인의 장애특성이 차별인식에 미치는 영향 - 여가활동의 매개효과를 중심으로 - (The Influence of the Characteristics of Disability on Older Adults' Perception of Discrimination : A Mediating Effect of Leisure Activities)

  • 본 연구는 장애노인의 장애특성이 개인적 차별인식에 미치는 영향에 관해 여가활동의 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2005년도 장애인 실태조사 대상자 중 여가생활을 하는 65세 이상의 신체장애노인 1,241명을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애특성과 개인적 차별인식의 관계에서 장애유형, 장애발생시점, IADL이 영향요인으로 검증되었다. 둘째, 장애특성과 여가유형과의 관계에서, 장애특성 중 IADL이 영향요인이었다. 셋째, 장애노인의 장애특성이 개인적 차별인식에 미치는 영향에 있어, 여가유형이 부분 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 차별인식 경감을 위해 여가활동에 대한 사회적 개입의 필요성에 대한 근거를 마련하고, 장애노인의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 여가라는 개인적 욕구와 차별이라는 사회적 이슈를 함께 고려하여 사회복지적 함의를 찾는다는 데 의의가 있다.

The Relationship between Learner and Interest in Teachable Characteristic Agent

  • The traditional intelligent teachable system has mainly focused on knowledge and cognition. It has overlooked motivational aspects of learners. Motivation is an important factor in learning making learners to have interests in a given task and persist it. Although the systems include cognitive as well as motivational factors, the effects of ITS on interest are not equivalent depending on individual characteristics. This study is to investigate how influence learners' response patterns to their interests and also examined effects of individual characteristics on interest in teachable agent (TA). In this experiment, we used KORI which is a new type of ITS that learner teach computer agent based on the instructional method of learning by teaching'. In the beginning of experiments, metacognition, achievement goal orientation and self-efficacy were measured as individual characteristics. Then, participants were asked to use KORI at home during 10 days. After using KORI the level of interest were measured. The result showed that metacognition was positively related with interest, whereas performance goal orientation and mastery goal orientation were negatively related to interest. It suggests t hat different individual characteristics should be considered to promote learners' intrinsic motivation in TA.

Individual DC Voltage Balancing Method at Zero Current Mode for Cascaded H-bridge Based Static Synchronous Compensator

  • Individual DC voltage balance problem is an inherent issue for cascaded H-bridge (CHB) based converter. When the CHB-based static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) is operating at zero current mode, the software-based individual DC voltage balancing control techniques may not work because of the infinitesimal output current. However, the different power losses of each cell would lead to the individual DC voltages unbalance. The uneven power losses on the local supplied cell-controllers (including the control circuit and drive circuit) would especially cause the divergence of individual DC voltages, due to their characteristic as constant power loads. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an adaptive voltage balancing module which is designed in the cell-controller board with small size and low cost circuits. It is controlled to make the power loss of the cell a constant resistance load, thus the DC voltages are balanced in zero current mode. Field test in a 10kV STATCOM confirms the performance of the proposed method.

Automated Individual Tree Detection and Crown Delineation Using High Spatial Resolution RGB Aerial Imagery

  • Forests have been considered one of the most important ecosystems on the earth, affecting the lives and environment. The sustainable forest management requires accurate and timely information of forest and tree parameters. Appropriately interpreted remotely sensed imagery can provide quantitative data for deriving forest information temporally and spatially. Especially, analysis of individual tree detection and crown delineation is significant issue, because individual trees are basic units for forest management. Individual trees in aerial imagery have reflectance characteristics according to tree species, crown shape and hierarchical status. This study suggested a method that identified individual trees and delineated crown boundaries through adopting gradient method algorithm to amplified greenness data using red and green band of aerial imagery. The amplification of specific band value improved possibility of detecting individual trees, and gradient method algorithm was performed to apply to identify individual tree tops. Additionally, tree crown boundaries were explored using spectral intensity pattern created by geometric characteristic of tree crown shape. Finally, accuracy of result derived from this method was evaluated by comparing with the reference data about individual tree location, number and crown boundary acquired by visual interpretation. The accuracy ($\hat{K}$) of suggested method to identify individual trees was 0.89 and adequate window size for delineating crown boundaries was $19{\times}19$ window size (maximum crown size: 9.4m) with accuracy ($\hat{K}$) at 0.80.

  • Job is a basic factor which ties individual employee and organization, and it affects employee satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. It is usually found that the relationship between individual and organizational interests does not coincide each other in short-term. When job is being performed, it is important to have a job which satisfies individual interest and maximizes organizational goals in order to have an organizational effectiveness. The purposes of the study were designed to investigate the variations of the job characteristics and job attitude across technological classification, to examine the relationship of job attitude to the job characteristics employed by both socio-technological and job design approaches to organizational change, to find the job characteristics which characterized technological classification, and to test the moderating effects of demographic characteristics in korea organizations.
