Mediation Effect of Motivation and Immersion for Learning in the Relation between Tutor and Learning Effectiveness of Cyber Home Learning

  • The main purpose of cyber home education in public sector is to promote public education and restrain expensive private education expenses. The primary purpose of this study is to explore the effects of motivation, immersion and tutor on the effectiveness of cyber home learning. The variables of motivation, immersion and tutor participation were incorporated in this study as follows: 1) tutor participation was classed as a single independent variable, which has interaction and also effects passion; 2) motivation and 3) immersion were classed as two mediatory variables: motivation which include relevance and confidence; and immersion which includes attention and controllability. 4) learning effect was classed as a single dependent variable of learning influence factor which has learning attitude and learning satisfaction. The results show that a tutor had a direct influence on the effects of the learners' study but motivation and immersion had an indirect influence on the effects of learners' study independently. Based on these findings a tutor should provide motivation and immersion with various learning methods and contents for learners to get maximum benefits from cyber home learning.

초등학생의 블랜디드 러닝 기반 구조중심협동학습을 적용한 안전교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Effects of a Structure-centered Cooperative Learning Safety Education Program based on Blended Learning for Elementary School Students)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to determine effects of a structure-centered cooperative learning safety education program based on blended learning for elementary school students. Methods: The study is developed in nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design. The subjects included 24 sixth grade students in the experimental group and 23 sixth grade students in the control group, respectively. To prevent diffusion of the experiment, it was carried out from May 20th to June 24th in 2015 with the control group and the other from August 26th to September 30th in 2015 with the experimental group. It was performed on experimental group after the structure-centered cooperative learning safety education program based on blended learning once a week for 6weeks. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, paired t-test and independent t-test. Results: After the intervention, the experimental group showed significant increases in the self-directed learning attitudes and safety behavior compared to the control group except for the academic self-efficacy. Conclusion: The results indicate that the structure-centered cooperative learning safety education program based on blended learning program is effective in safety education for 6th graders.

동등 변환 2계층 퍼지 시스템의 규칙 자동 학습 (Automatic learning of fuzzy rules for the equivalent 2 layered hierarchical fuzzy system)

  • 본 논문에서는 다입력 퍼지 시스템에서 생기는 퍼지 규칙수의 기하급수적 증가를 막기 위하여, 1번째 계층에서는 주어진 퍼지 시스템으로부터 선형 독립의 퍼지 규칙 벡터를 구성하여 사용하고, 2계층에서는 1계층에서 사용된 퍼지 규칙 벡터들의 선형합을 사용하는 동등 변환된 2계층 퍼지시스템 구조에서, steapest descent 알고리듬을 이용한 퍼지 규칙의 자동 학습을 다룬다. 학습 방법의 타당성을 보이기 위하여, 공과 막대 시스템을 제어하는 기존의 퍼지 시스템을 학습한 결과를 보인다.

Subject Independent Classification of Implicit Intention Based on EEG Signals

  • Brain computer interfaces (BCI) usually have focused on classifying the explicitly-expressed intentions of humans. In contrast, implicit intentions should be considered to develop more intelligent systems. However, classifying implicit intention is more difficult than explicit intentions, and the difficulty severely increases for subject independent classification. In this paper, we address the subject independent classification of implicit intention based on electroencephalography (EEG) signals. Among many machine learning models, we use the support vector machine (SVM) with radial basis kernel functions to classify the EEG signals. The Fisher scores are evaluated after extracting the gamma, beta, alpha and theta band powers of the EEG signals from thirty electrodes. Since a more discriminant feature has a larger Fisher score value, the band powers of the EEG signals are presented to SVM based on the Fisher score. By training the SVM with 1-out of-9 validation, the best classification accuracy is approximately 65% with gamma and theta components.

팀 학습을 통한 대학생의 창업교육에 있어서 팀원의 창업의지, 다양성 및 조력자의 지원활동이 팀 학습 유효성 및 창업교육 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study about the Effect of Team Members' Entrepreneurial Intention, Diversity, and Supporting Activities of Assistants on Team Learning Effectiveness and Educational Satisfaction in the Entrepreneurial Education of University Students through Team Learning)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 팀 학습을 통한 창업교육이 팀 학습의 유효성 및 창업교육 만족도에 긍정적인 영향이 있는지 살펴보는 것이었다. 이를 위하여 2017년 1학기 국내 K대학의 벤처창업 자율전공에 개설된 창업교과목 중에서 문제해결 과제중심의 팀 학습 방식으로 진행된 창업 교과목을 수강한 학생 149명의 설문 데이터를 분석하였다. 먼저 팀 학습의 유효성에 영향을 주는 요인으로 개인의 창업의지, 팀 구성원의 다양성, 조력자의 지원활동을 독립변수로 설정하여 팀 학습 유효성 및 창업교육 만족도 간의 영향 및 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였으며 이를 통하여 독립변수 각각이 팀 학습의 유효성에 영향을 주는지 검증하였고 아울러 팀 학습의 유효성이 이러한 독립변수와 교육 만족도 사이에서 매개작용을 하는지 검토하였다. 연구결과 조력자의 지원활동이 팀 학습 유효성에 영향을 줄 것이라는 가설이 지지되었다. 하지만 개인의 창업의지 또는 팀 다양성이 팀 학습 유효성에 영향을 줄 것이라는 가설은 기각되었다. 반면 회귀분석 결과를 통하여 창업의지가 창업교육 만족도에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타나서 선행연구들과 마찬가지로 창업의지의 중요성을 다시 한번 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 팀 학습의 유효성이 교육 만족도에 영향을 줄 것이라는 가설이 지지되어 팀 학습 유효성이 조력자의 지원활동과 창업교육 만족도 사이에서 매개작용을 하고 있음을 검증하였다. 특히 위계적 회귀분석의 결과로 조력자 지원활동의 유의도가 현저히 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 이는 조력자의 지원활동이 부분매개작용을 하고는 있지만 팀 학습 유효성을 경유하여 창업교육 만족도에 영향을 주는 매개경로가 매우 유의미함을 설명하고 있는 부분이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과로 팀 학습 창업교육에 있어서 조력자의 지원활동이 중요함을 알 수 있었으며 아울러 개인의 창업의지 역시 중요함을 확인하였다. 특히 조력자의 지원활동은 팀 학습 유효성을 매개로 창업교육의 만족도에 영향을 주는 중요한 변임임을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 대학생의 창업교육에 있어서 개인의 창업의지에 부합하는 실무형 교육과정의 운영과 함께 내 외부 전문가 또는 기업가의 교육 참여와 네트워킹을 형성하는 것이 반드시 필요할 것이라고 생각된다. 또한 팀 학습에 있어서 팀원의 구성에 대하여 좀 더 숙고하여 편성하고, 조력자는 팀 학습의 유효성을 높일 수 있도록 적극적인 지원활동 및 구성원의 다양성을 고려한 세심한 지도가 동시에 필요할 것이라고 사료된다.

A study on Indirect Adaptive Decentralized Learning Control of the Vertical Multiple Dynamic System

  • The learning control develops controllers that learn to improve their performance at executing a given task, based on experience performing this specific task. In a previous work, the authors presented an iterative precision of linear decentralized learning control based on p-integrated learning method for the vertical dynamic multiple systems. This paper develops an indirect decentralized learning control based on adaptive control method. The original motivation of the learning control field was learning in robots doing repetitive tasks such as an assembly line works. This paper starts with decentralized discrete time systems, and progresses to the robot application, modeling the robot as a time varying linear system in the neighborhood of the nominal trajectory, and using the usual robot controllers that are decentralized, treating each link as if it is independent of any coupling with other links. Some techniques will show up in the numerical simulation for vertical dynamic robot. The methods of learning system are shown for the iterative precision of each link.

보건계열 대학생의 교수신뢰가 학습몰입에 미치는 영향 (Effect of professor trust and learning flow among allied health students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between professor trust and learning flow in allied health students and to provide the basic data for the improvement of curriculum and teaching method. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 263 allied health students. The questionnaire consisted of 27 questions of professor trust by Likert 5 scale and 29 questions of learning flow by Likert 6 scale. Cronbach's alpha in this study was 0.97 in professor trust, 0.96 in learning flow. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation and stepwise multiple regressions. Results: The score was 3.72 in professor trust and 3.46 in learning flow. There were positive correlations between learning flow and professor trust including intimacy, professional, teaching skills and leadership. Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that learning flow was related with professor trust. Conclusions: The learning flow depends on professor trust. Based on the research, improvement directions that put strong emphasis on low section of professor trust and learning flow must be placed.

An Investigation into the Effects of Integrative and Instrumental Orientations on Language Learning Strategies

  • This study examines the effects of two motivational orientations on the use of language learning strategies at overall, category, and specific-item levels. 184 students (males and females) from a Korean university responded to the following two questionnaires: the Motivational Orientation Questionnaire (MOQ) developed by the author and Oxford's Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL). The results showed that both integratively- and instrumentally-oriented students were moderate strategy users overall. Integratively-oriented learners were found to use learning strategies more often and a broader spectrum of strategies than instrumentally-oriented learners. A noteworthy finding, however, is that strategy use was not motivation orientation-specific. In other words, the two motivational groups were found to share the similar patterns of strategy use. Independent samples t test results revealed that integratively-oriented students exhibited significantly greater use of overall strategy than instrumentally-oriented students. This phenomenon held true for the use of cognitive, metacognitive, and social categories. At the specific item levels, 13 of the total 50 individual strategies were shown to be employed significantly more often by integratively motivated learners than by their instrumentally motivated peers.

Active Learning과 군집화를 이용한 고정키어구 추출 (Keyphrase Extraction Using Active Learning and Clustering)

  • We describe a new active learning method in conditional random fields (CRFs) framework for keyphrase extraction. To save elaboration in annotation, we use diversity and representative measure. We select high diversity training candidates by sentence confidence value. We also select high representative candidates by clustering the part-of-speech patterns of contexts. In the experiments using dialog corpus, our method achieves 86.80% and saves 88% training corpus compared with those of supervised method. From the results of experiment, we can see that the proposed method shows improved performance over the previous methods. Additionally, the proposed method can be applied to other applications easily since its implementation is independent on applications.

  • This paper presents an iterative learning control scheme for industrial manipulators. Based upon the frequency-domain analysis, the input update law of the learning controller is given together with a sufficient condition for the convergence of the iterative process in the frequency domain. The proposed learning control scheme is structurally simple and computationally efficient since it is independent joint control depending only on locally measured variables and it does not involve the computation of complicated nonlinear manipulator dynamics. Moreover, it is capable of canceling the unmodeled dynamics of the manipulator without even the parametric model. Several important aspects of the learning scheme inherent in the frequency-domain design are discussed and the control performance is demonstrated through computer simulations.
