The growth of the middle school girls show big difference among the individuals and the development of each area of the body is not uniformed but diverse which could be understood as the period that the problems on the fit of the clothes occur extensively. Therefore, in this study, the somatotype of the middle school girls are intended to be categorized for the highly applicable clothes design. For this, the 3 middle schools in Jeonju were selected for anthropometric measurement of 324 middle schools. The items of measurement are related to the somatotype of middle school girls, clothes design which is consisted of total of 50 items. For the basic data of clothes was judged that the classification of somatotype related to the tops and bottoms would be rational; hence, it is classified into the upper part and lower part of the body to extract the body shape consistent factor. As a result of analyzing the factors, the upper body consistent was extracted as the 4 items: upper body circumference, upper body length, breast growth and arm length. It was displayed as 75.26% explicability. The lower body consistent factors are extracted as lower body height, lower body circumference, hip length, and rear shape with 78.62% explicability. To classify the somatotype of upper body and lower body, each factor score is made into the independent viable for group analysis. As a result, the upper body was classified into the 'upper body with small breast and long' and 'upper body with big breast'. The lower body was categorized as 'lower body with long hip length' and 'standard lower body'.

PURPOSE: This study compared the body composition according to the sport of short-distance and middle & long-distance athletes to identify the factors that affect the body composition. METHODS: Forty-eight athletes selected as youth national athletes in 2019 participated in the study. The study participants measured the length of the lower extremities, body composition, and anaerobic ability. An independent sample t-test was conducted to compare the body composition according to the event. In addition, the Pearson correlation was performed to identify the factors that influence the body composition. RESULTS: The leg length of the Short and Middle & long-distance athletes were similar (p = .584). On the other hand, there were differences in the body fat percentage (p = .001), lean percentage (p = .001), and BMI (p = .001). In addition, the body fat percentage was correlated with the lean body mass (r = .419) and BMI (r = .447). Furthermore, the lean body mass was correlated with the BMI (r = .849) and the peak power (r = .662) and mean power (r = .686) of the anaerobic capacity. Moreover, the BMI was correlated with the peak power (r = .490) and mean power (r = .543) of the anaerobic capacity. The peak power of the anaerobic ability was correlated with the mean power (r = .931). CONCLUSION: The body composition differed according to the sport. The body fat percentage correlated with the lean body mass and the BMI. The lean body mass correlated with the BMI, peak power of anaerobic ability, and mean power. The BMI correlated with the anaerobic capacity.

Purpose: The injection of various materials, including medical fillers and unregulated products, is widespread, potentially causing the development of foreign body granulomas. Should this occur on the nose, the contour deformity and inflammatory signs that result from these granulomas are aesthetically undesirable to patients. The purpose of our study is to share our experiences using different surgical approaches, depending on the affected portion of the nose, to optimize management of this challenging problem and to evaluate patient's satisfaction using our in-house questionnaire along with degree of improvement by two independent plastic surgeons. Methods: We treated 18 patients who underwent surgical excision of nasal foreign body granulomas via a perilesional approach to the lesion (n=12) or by transcolumellar incision (n=6) at our hospital over a period of seven years from March 2003 to October 2010. Nonparametric statistics were used and are presented as medians (25th-75th). Patient satisfaction was evaluated on a scale of 1 to 5 using an in-house questionnaire. All pre-and post-operative photographs were analyzed by two independent plastic surgeons. Post-operative outcomes were evaluated based on the surgeons' consensus ratings. Results: All patients receiving the transcolumellar approach reported a high level of satisfaction with the results. All but two patients who received the perilesional approach were satisfied with the outcome. No outcomes were rated as no change or worse by the consensus ratings. Conclusion: For the upper two-thirds of the nose, perilesional surgical excision can lead to substantial patient satisfaction with modified contour deformity and infection control. The transcolumellar approach resulted in better outcomes and patient satisfaction for the lower one-third of the nose.
Body painting according to physical types is a method to express the body as it exists in nature or as an active element of nature. There is a need to research physical formation that applies the trend of contemporary naturalism to the types of nature art by emphasizing the artistic value of body painting with natural environmental overtones. Importantly, body painting according to physical types attempts an intact reproduction of natural objects and the reflection of the beauty of natural objects in body painting. Thus, the purpose of this study was to analyze body painting according to physical types based on the types of nature art. The methodology of the study included theoretical and empirical review. Theoretical review examined the characteristics of physical formation in nature art and relevant nature art works and body painting of physical types through previous research and literature. The empirical review applied analyses to works extracted from web sites of body painting. The study included physical type cases extracted from body painting works from 2005 to 2015 in foreign web sites(www.ilovebodyart.com and www.angel cakebodyart.com). Body painting works were based on the characteristics of physical types. As a result, the body painting of physical types based on nature art is as follows. First, organic continuity with nature art through the artists'thoughts and beliefs. Second, the specificity of place that respects the natural phenomenon itself. Third, the creative diversity of formative shapes for the body. Fourth, the social implications of body painting with human empathy. Fifth, immediacy to embody the artistic will of the artist. Finally, the application of physical types according to affinity with nature, as well as an independent artistic entity.
Mixed urinary incontinence (UI) is common in women. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of anti-incontinence surgery in female patients with equally severe stress UI (SUI) and urge UI (UUI). All patients had equal severity of SUI and UUI. The postoperative cure rate was categorized into the cure group (CG) and failure group (FG). Postoperative satisfaction was categorized into the satisfaction group (SG) and the dissatisfaction group (DG). Statistical significance was set at P<0.05. Ninety patients (SG, 73.3%; DG, 26.7%; CG, 93.3%; FG, 6.7%) were included in the study. In the univariate analysis, body mass index (BMI), total bladder capacity, and overactive bladder symptom score (OABSS) were significantly different between the SG and DG groups. Peak urinary flow, Valsalva leak point pressure (VLPP), and OABSS were significantly different between the CG and FG groups. In the multivariate analysis, OABSS (P=0.001) and BMI (P=0.032) were independent predictors of postoperative satisfaction. VLPP (P=0.023) was the only independent factor associated with the postoperative cure rate. In equal severity of SUI and UUI, VLPP was found to be the only independent factor associated with postoperative cure rates. Higher VLPP values were associated with higher cure rates. BMI and OABSS were identified as independent predictors of postoperative satisfaction, with lower BMI and OABSS associated with higher postoperative satisfaction.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze biomechanical factors and PMT (premotor time) of body muscles between elite college and amateur baseball players during the baseball batting motion. Method: Kinematic and electromyographic data were obtained for 10 elite college baseball players and 10 amateur baseball players who participated in this study. All motion capture data were collected at 200 Hz using 8 VICON cameras and the PMT of muscles was recorded using a Delsys Trigno wireless system. The peak mean bat speed and the peak mean angular velocities of trunk, pelvis, and bat with PMT of 16 body muscles were computed. These kinematic and PMT data of both groups were compared by independent t-tests (p < .05). Results: The pelvis, trunk, and bat showed a sequence of angular velocity value during baseball batting. The PMTs of right tibialis anterior, left gastrocnemius, external oblique, and erector spinae were significantly different between the two groups. Conclusion: The PMT of body muscles was related to the shifting of body and rotation of the pelvis and the trunk segment, and this action can be considered the coordinated muscle activity of the lower and upper body.
Objective: The community has implemented a variety of exercise programs for the elderly population. However, studies comparing changes in the cardiovascular system through body composition and blood analysis after applying aqua aerobic exercise are insufficient. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a 12 weeks aqua exercise on body composition and cardiovascular index in elderly women. Design: Non-equivalence pre-post design. Methods: Thirty elderly women were assigned to aquarobic group(n=15) and control group(n=15). The aquarobic exercise was 60 minutes per every session, 2times per week, for 12weeks. Weight, skeletal muscle mass, body fat percentage, total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, and LDL cholesterol were measured before and after the exercise program. Paired and independent t-tests were performed using SPSS program. Results: The result showed was weight(p<0.05), body fat percentage(p<0.05), total cholesterol(p<0.05), triglyceride(p<0.05), HDL cholesterol(p<0.05), and LDL cholesterol(p<0.05) were significantly decreased and skeletal muscle mass(p>0.05) was not significantly increased after aquatic exercise program. Conclusions: According to the study result, aqua exercise program made a positive effect in the improvement of obesity and cardiovascular function in elderly women. Therefore, we suggest that you actively consider implementing the Aquarobic exercise program when operating the community health promotion program in the future. In addition, in future studies, comparative studies according to various ages and genders and studies on the effects of aqua aerobic exercise as a community exercise program for chronically illness patients are needed.
To compare of body composition and backmusclestrength between physical activity group (PAG) and non-physical activity group (Non-PAG). From Jun 14 to July 13 2018, 66 students were divided into PAG (male 20, female 13) and Non-PAG (male 18, female 15) from questionnaires for general characteristics and activity. All participants were measured body composition (Inbody 720, Biospace, Korea) and backmusclestrength (T.K.K. 5402, TAKEI, Japan) after obtaining written informed consent. Statistical analysis was performed by independent t-test and cross-sectional test using SPSS ver. 19.0 (USA). Sex and body mass index were not significant difference between two groups. Exercise was significant difference between PAG and Non-PAG(100% vs. 45.5%, p<0.001), especially running and push-up, sit-up(p<0.001). Body composition was no significant difference between PAG and Non-PAG (p>0.05). Backmusclestrength was significantly higher in PAG than that in N on-PAG (p<0.01). It is suggested that exercise affects to Backmusclestrength.

Upper body types were classified to develop the sizing system of the cycling wear top for the high school male cyclist. The research methods were performed using the anthropometric measurements of 111 high school male cyclists that included cluster analysis was performed. The research results are as follows. Type 1 (23.4%) has the longest biocromion length, is the tallest of the three types and a proper body type. Type 2 (25.2%) has the largest weight and developed muscles in the chest parts. Type 3 (51.4%) is the shortest of the three types and is a skinny body with a bending back. In order to develop a sizing system, the 12 anthropometric measurements were selected for correlation analysis. The bust circumference and stature were presented as the control dimensions of sizing system. The waist front, waist back length and biacromion length were less correlated with other items; consequently, they were independent items and were set as referable dimensions. Therefore, it was proposed as a sizing system because the 5 cm of bust and 5 cm of stature have a high coverage by body type. The total coverage rate was 81.9%.
Continuous monitoring of intracranial pressure is a well established medical procedure. Still, little is known about long-term behavior of intracranial pressure in normal pressure hydrocephalus. The present study is designed to evaluate periodicity of intracranial pressure over long-time scales using intraventricular pressure monitoring in patients with normal pressure hydrocephalus. In addition, the circadian and diurnal patterns of blood pressure and body temperature in those patients are studied. Four patients, selected with "probable" normal pressure hydrocephalus, were monitored for several dozen hours. Intracranial pressure, blood pressure, and body temperature were recorded hourly. Autocorrelation functions were calculated and cross-correlation analysis were carried out to study all the time-series data. Autocorrelation results show that intracranial pressure, blood pressure, and body temperature values follow bimodal (positive and negative) curves over a day. The cross-correlation functions demonstrate causal relationships between intracranial pressure, blood pressure, and body temperature. The results show that long-term fluctuations in intracranial pressure exhibit cyclical patterns with periods of about 24 hours. Continuous intracranial pressure recording in "probable" normal pressure hydrocephalus patients reveals circadian fluctuations not related to the day and night cycle. These fluctuations are causally related to changes in blood pressure and body temperature. The present study reveals the complete loss of the diurnal blood pressure and body temperature rhythmicities in patients with "probable" normal pressure hydrocephalus.
