Development of Automated Design Program for Electric Railway Pole Foundation (전철주기초 설계 자동화 프로그램 개발)

  • In this paper, a design program for electric railway pole foundation was developed by applying the estimation study performed by Korean Railway. There are two kinds of shapes in the cross-section of electric railway pole foundation: rectangle and circle. In foundation designing, The rectangular foundation should be satisfied with vertical, horizontal and moment equilibrium equations. On the other hand, the circular foundation should be satisfied with horizontal and moment equilibrium equations. The design program was coded into MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class) by MS Visual C. The equation's roots in the program were obtained by Incremental Search method. Dialog and property sheet(Wizard Mode) input windows were selected for user-friendliness. The biggest advantage of this program is to find an optimum depth in a given section.

  • The systematic management of plant risk is crucial for enhancing the safety of nuclear power plants and for designing new nuclear power plants. Accident sequence precursor (ASP) analysis may be able to provide risk significance of operational experience by using probabilistic risk assessment to evaluate an operational event quantitatively in terms of its impact on core damage. In this study, an ASP methodology for two operation mode, full power and low power/shutdown operation, has been developed and applied to significant accident precursors that may occur during the operation of nuclear power plants. Two operational events, loss of feedwater and steam generator tube rupture, are identified as ASPs. Therefore, the ASP methodology developed in this study may contribute to identifying plant risk significance as well as to enhancing the safety of nuclear power plants by applying this methodology systematically.

  • Noise and vibration performance plays an important role in the development of rotating components, such as engines, drivelines, transmission systems, compressors and pumps. The presence of torsional vibrations and other specific phenomena require the dynamic behaviour of systems and components to be designed accurately in order to avoid comfort and durability related problems. This paper provides an overview of the instrumentation and challenges related to torsional vibration testing. The accuracy and performance of five measurement techniques (high-speed incremental encoder, dual beam laser interferometer, zebra tape, zebra disc, direct pulse measurements with magnetic probe) is investigated by measurements on a Fiat Punto 1.4 liter engine. The potential sources of error are discussed to explain the inaccuracies of each technique.

  • This paper analyzes a operating characteristic for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of photovoltaic generation system. MPPT methods are used to maximize PV array output power by tracking maximum power point(MPP) continuously. To increase the output efficiency of PV system, it is important to have more efficient MPPT. MPPT algorithm is widely used the control method such as the perturbation and observation(PO) method, incremental conductance(IC) method and constant voltage(CV) method. In case of the radiation is changed, this paper proposes a response characteristic with MPPT control algorithms. Also, it proposes the direct for a novel MPPT control algorithm development through the analyzed data, hereby proves the effectiveness of this paper.

  • In this paper, the shape of the slit to provide a view of the sensor in such a manner as to encode the rotor position information using a single sensor for studies of economic rotor position and speed detection method for electric motor drive has a special electronic commutator bar-and proposes a robust encoder can produce a rotor position information for each of the woman, and reads out the location information by using the position detection method of the proposed new method compared to traditional DSP Capture function of incremental encoder that its validity was verified through experiments.

  • Recently, the J/T analysis based on elastic-plastic finite element analysis is popularly used in the nuclear industry to assess the integrity of a cracked pipe. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the effect of stress-strain curve for weld metal, variation of crack incremental length(${\delta}a$), and crack face pressure on the J/T analysis result. For this purpose, a parametric analysis was performed and the results calculated from finite element analysis were compared with those from the piping experimental data(stainless steel weldment pipe with circumferential through-wall crack). The numerical result using base metal material property is in agreement with the experimental one and the maximum load is decreased as the ${\delta}a$ for J/T analysis is increased.

  • Flow forming is an incremental forming process in which rollers are used to form cylindrical parts with repeated turning of both roller and starting material. Both sheet and tube can be used as the starting material. The process is highly useful for producing hollow shaped parts from a tube, with the benefit of the average strain in the final shape being significantly lower than that from a sheet material. In the present study, the flow forming process was studied and optimized for producing a hollow shaped part from seamless steel tube by both experiment and numerical analysis. Upon considering the difficulty of forming seamless steel sheet, the thickness reduction was distributed over several tool paths. In the end, an optimum process condition was attained, and the experiment verified the simulation results.

  • Delaunay triangulation is well balanced in the sense that the triangles tend toward equiangularity. And so, Delaunay triangulation hasn't some slivers triangle. It's commonly used in various field of CAD applications, such as shape reconstruction, solid modeling and volume rendering. In this paper, an improved Delaunay triangulation is proposed in 2-dimensions. The suggested algorithm subdivides a uniform grids into sub-quad grids, and so efficient where points are non-uniform distribution. To get the mate from quad-subdivision algorithm, the area where triangulation-patch will be most likely created should be searched first.

  • Metallic sandwich plates are ultra-light materials not only with high strength and stiffness but also with other multifunctional physical properties. Inner dimpled shell structure can be fabricated by a piecewise sectional forming process, and then bonded with face sheets of the same material by resistance welding. Possible region for bending and limit radius of curvature are defined to compare the formability of sandwich plates. Tests have shown that sandwich plates with inner dimpled shell structure subject to bending have longer possible region for bending and smaller limit radius of curvature than other types of sandwich plates. The proposed inner dimpled shell structure is shown to have better formability of sandwich plates for bending than other types inner structures.

  • 본 논문에서는 비선형 고체역학 이론에 대하여 특히 시간에 무관한 변형을 하는 초탄성 및 탄소성고체물질의 비선형 변형이론에 대하여 철저한 분석을 수행하였다 특히 비선형 변형의 해석방범론에 대하여 특별한 관심을 가지고 분석하였다. 비선형 변형해석 방법론으로 널리 논의되고 있는 증분뉴튼랩슨 방법에 대하여 수정된 개념을 제시하여 비선형 변형 해석의 정 확성을 향상시켰다.
