An incomplete factorization method for preconditioning symmetric positive definite matrices is introduced to solve normal equations. The normal equations are form to solve linear least squares problems. The procedure is based on a block incomplete Cholesky factorization and a multilevel recursive strategy with an approximate Schur complement matrix formed implicitly. A diagonal perturbation strategy is implemented to enhance factorization robustness. The factors obtained are used as a preconditioner for the conjugate gradient method. Numerical experiments are used to show the robustness and efficiency of this preconditioning technique, and to compare it with two other preconditioners.

By using the cyclic properties of symmetric balance incomplete block design(BIBD) codes and arrayed-waveguide grating(AWG) routers, a compact optical CDMA network coder-decoder(codec) can be constructed. It can be observed that the various code families obtained by BIBD improve the BER performance compared to M-sequence code.

In 2009, Japanese government requires exporters to have individual export licenses for certain items and removes South Korea from White Countries. The export control and regulations are likely to be affected by political factors. This study aims to analyze Japan-South Korea trade dispute with a sequential game with incomplete information. The results show that Japan may apply trade regulations on Korea regardless of efficiency of Korea and the possibilities of regulations increases when political factors are important in its decision on export policy.

In this paper, we present a conference key authentication mechanism by employing an algebraic method on IMT-2000 environment. To accomplish this, the symmetric balanced incomplete block design is applied for generating a conference key and then this key is distributed to participants. Through the technique for creation of a conference key and mutual authentications peformed based on identification information, a communication protocol is designed. The protocol proposed minimizes the communication complexity for generating a conference key. On a special case the complexity is O(equation omitted), where v is the number of participants. The security of the mechanism, which is a significant problem in construction of secure systems, can be assured since finding discrete logarithms is generally a hard problem.

XML is one of standard web languages. XML has a syntax architecture consisted of tags, which are used to descript contents and structures of a XML document. In XML documents, missing of markup tag is one of common factors generating incomplete inputs. Usually, editors will recognize incomplete inputs as syntax errors. And so, when editors find them, they will highlight lines in which syntax errors happened, and execute appropriate error handling routines. But, there are no more parsing actions. In this paper, we propose a method to recognize incomplete input strings and keep parsing phases going. To recognize pars missed grammatically in incomplete inputs and create them newly, we use an expanding parsing table. It includes additional parsing actions for newly generated input symbols. Through the information, incomplete inputs will be completed and parsing steps will be finished successively. Therefore, users can be assured that they make always correct XML documents, even if inputs are incomplete, and can not be nervous about input faults.

This study aims to present ways to enhance the stabilization of electronic medical records, ensure the commitment to filling in information of the medical record and improve the overall quality Electronic Medical Record(EMR) information. For that purpose, the present state of the incomplete record rate and the doctor's satisfaction in Electronic Medical Record(EMR) have been surveyed by comparing and analyzing Paper-based Medical Record(PMR) and Electronic Medical Record(EMR). The survey was conducted on 31 doctors in charge of EMR system and each PMR and EMR inpatients were collected for a period of 5 months and analyzed. The results showed that the doctor's satisfaction level was higher for EMR, and the rate of incomplete record appeared to be lower in EMR in departments of both internal and external medicine. In this context, it can be said that the higher efficiency of EMR helped accomplish the increase in commitment to completing medical record information and improve the quality of the data.

Usually, partailly balanced incomplete block design have been used a parametric design that make blocks of complete diallel cross. For that we use triangular PBIBD as parametric design, we have to find triangular PBIBD with corresponding parameters. Using the theorem that dual design of balanced incomplete block design with special parameters becomes triangular PBIBD, we can design block complete diallel cross without finding new triangular PBIBD. In this paper, we provided the plan and design satisfying such block complete diallel crosses.

The objectives of this paper are to provide information on the characteristics of the discharge signals in a low-voltage indoor outlet. Most of electrical fires are caused by short circuits, overheating of wires, deterioration and incomplete connection of wiring devices. The last two cases are predictable before the occurrence of fire because of its slow progress. We have simulated the discharge signals caused by the deterioration and incomplete connection of wiring devices using aged outlets. From the experimental data, we could characterize the frequency spectrums of the discharge signals depending on the cases. The higher frequency components of the signal are attenuated by the capacitance and inductance of power lines as the measuring point is getting away from the discharges. Main frequency components of the discharge signal are existent at 600kHz - 1.5MHz in incomplete connections and at 210H7z - 8MHz in deteriorations of the outlet.

In this paper, a Sommerfeld integral for an impedance half-plane is considered, which is one of classical problems in electromagnetic theory. First, the integral is evaluated into two series representations which are expressed in terms of exponential integral and Lommel function, respectively. Then based on the Lommel function expansion, an exact, closed-form expression of the integral is formulated, written in terms of incomplete Weber integrals. Additionally, based on the exponential integral expansion, an approximate expression of the integral is obtained. Validity of all formulations derived in this paper is demonstrated through comparisons with a numerical integration of the integral for various situations.
