The purpose of this paper is to develop a port simulation program for Inchon Port. The arrival and departure data from Inchon Port are analyzed, several probability density functions for the interval time and service time are estimated, and the berthing rules are constructed based on experts experiences. The port simulation program is written in visual basic considering the interarrival p.d.f., service rate p.d.f., berthing rules, and dual-dock system, and is used to analyze the effects of the changes in ship arrival rate and service rate upon the demurrage. It is expected that we can use the simulation results in order to prepare proper service level and to evaluate the appropriate investment strategy to be planned.

In this paper we present a Neural network approach to select weighting matrices of Linear-Quadratic-Gaussian (LQG) controller for TCSC control. The selection of weighting matrices is usually carried out by trial and error. A weighting matrices of LQG control selected effectively using Neural network. It is shown that simulation results in application of this method to one machine infinite bus system are satisfactory.

This paper which can simulate FRIENDS(Flexible Reliable Intelligent Electrical eNergy Delivery System) model of distribution electrical system presents a new algorithm. In the operation of FRIENDS model, dispersed energy storage(DES) systems have an important role. We can use the active and reactive power of DES to control customer's voltage. In this, the former means load levelling operation and the later means voltage control operation of DES. We focus our research on load levelling operation of DES. We develope an algorithm to get an optimal capacity and operation schedule of DES and then apply it to the FRIENDS model. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This work aims at examining the navigational safety of the entrance channel of Inchon harbour and suggesting the way to improve ship's navigation of the navigational safety at Inchon, that small ships such as fishing boats and barges coming out of the harbour through the East Channel cause major threat to the inbound large ships using the channel. An additional new waterway, therefore, has been recommended to be established in the middle of the East and West Channels so that the outbound small ships can use it. A waterway design simulation methodology has been applied to examin the sagety of the newly suggested channel. Minor chansge has been made to the original design after the simulation experiment, and the corrected final design of the waterway has been suggested to be implemented as soon as possible.

In this study, thin film evaporation of water on a horizontal plain tube is experimentally investigated. At a high heat flux, boiling of water is noticed inside the film. Once boiling occurs, evaporation heat transfer coefficient increases as the heat flux increases. In the non-boiling region, however, the heat transfer coefficient remains uniform irrespective of the heat flux. In this region, the heat transfer coefficient increases as the film flow rate increases. Comparison with existing correlations is also provided.

This study is to evaluate T-apartment housing located in Inchon by the occupants. The purpose of the study is extracting the design guideline to improve the physical environment in apartment housing from understanding and analyzing the residents'satisfaction and their needs. In this study, the strategy for environmental improvements is suggested to raise the occupants'overall satisfaction from finding the improvement priority. The results of this study are as follows: - The satisfaction level of the occupants is above the moderate level (3.31/3.00). - The construction quality is the 1 st factor in the improvement priority. - The characteristics of the occupants in this survey are that they are conservative in their present physical environment, but that they also need new trends in the unit plan.

배전계통의 신뢰도를 계산하는 기법은 Roy Billinton 등에 의해 연구되어 왔으며, 이중 방사상계통에 대한 신뢰도는 PSS/U와 같은 상용소프트웨어를 사용하여 용이하게 계산할 수 있단. 그러나, 루프나 병렬회로를 포함하는 배전계통에 대한 신뢰도는 개개의 계통에 대한 모델을 각기 구성하여야하는 어려움이 있어, 아직까지 일반화되지 못하고 있다.(중략)

RC(Rod Consolidation) technology in spent nuclear fuel management is an essential method and requires remote operation due to radiation exposure. Its technology may provide an effective means to double the storage capacity of spent fuel storage space. So development of this technology will provide a valuable contribution to establishing economical as well as technological basis for future spent fuel management.

The operation of RC(Rod Consolidation) technology carry out highly radiation environment. It requires remote operation and automation for efficient handling and for minimizing radiation exposure to the operator. So we investigated up and down position control of shock absorber device in RC system. To verify the research experimentally, a RC system was set up and PI control method was applied. Fuzzy control method was also tested to further improve control behavior.

인천시 소재 한 국민학교 어린이들이 머릿니 감염율을 알아보기 위하여 1995년 5월 26일과 27일 이틀간 국민학교를 방문하여 성충이나 서캐 감염 여부를 조사하였으며, 1,530명의 조사 대상자 중 5.0%가 성충이나 서캐에 감염되어 있었다. 여학생 762명 rdnsep 72명이 감염되어 9.4%의 감염율을 보였고, 남학생 768명 가운데 4명만이 감염되어 0.5%의 가염율을 나타내어, 여학생이 남학생보다 이에 대한 감염율이 높았다.
