Torsion bar spring을 가진 현수장치에 대한 최적조건 해석 (Analysis of optimum condition for the suspension system with torsion bar spring)

  • The spring constant and damping coefficient are vital factors of ride comfort and driving stability in the vibration of the vehicle which is mainly induced by a variety of the surface irregularity. This paper reviewed the optimum condition of the damping factor derived from the typical model of two mass-two degrees of freedom. Through the evaluation and discussion, it was presented that the spring of the torsion bar type was not effective for the driving stability in the large displacement of the wheel, and also that the damper with progressive performance has to be fundamentally selected to meet the requirement of the driving suability when this kind of spring is used as a suspension system of the vehicle.

바이모달 트램의 후진주차보조 알고리즘 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Developing Reverse Parking Assistant Algorithm for Hi-modal Tram)

  • The bi-modal tram is under development as a new public transportation. The features of the tram are an extended wheel base and its length. This features result in difficulties for drivers on maneuvering the tram. Therefore, the all wheel steering system is applied to the articulated vehicle. The AWS system enables the vehicle to steer all the rear wheels independently and improves its driving characteristics. However, the bi-modal tram has a problem to move backward in the limited place because of its geometric feature and the AWS system. Hence, the reverse parking assistant algorithm for articulated vehicle is developed to solve the problems of the reverse parking. Using the vehicle model which includes the reverse parking assistant algorithm, the dynamic analysis is performed for several parking cases. By the result of the analysis, the stability and validity of the reverse parking assistant algorithm is verified.

한국형 마네킨 구현에 의한 최적 시팅 패키지 설계 치수 제안 (Design Consideration of Optimal Seating Package by Generating Korean Manikins)

  • The primary objective of this research was to suggest the design dimensions of automotive seating package that has an important effect upon seating package design. To conduct the research, a set of manikin dimensions that are representative for Korean was determined by using a statistical scheme. With these dimensions, we generated nine manikins for male and female, respectively. Also, the preferred driving posture was investigated using the experimental setup. To find each joint angle for subjects, a driving monitoring system was developed and a three dimensional motion analysis system was employed. The joint angle for the subject was established and compared with related literature. With the generated manikins and each joint angle, the driving posture was simulated by using SAFEWORK that is a program to generate manikins. The positions and adjustable ranges from the accelerator heel point to the hip point and the steering wheel center point that are important variables in order to design seating package were suggested. Further research is needed to determine the seating package dimensions three dimensionally.

  • This Paper introduces a new design of motorized wheel chair for the disabled, which is intended to improve the quality of the disabled's indoor life. This vehicle was based on high manoeuvrability of the omnidirectional drive and saftey. Usually, the vehicle controlled by a joystick but also the voice control system to be prepared for the severely disabled. This voice control system responds to the result of voice recognition, state of system or warning of dangers with voices, which has real time response and 95.3% recognition ratio and satisfactory synthesis voice Quality Therefore this system is able to provide independency in driving and the disabled's daily life.

전동 스쿠터를 위한 DGPS 기반의 위치 추정 및 반 자율 주행 시스템 개발 (Development of a DGPS-Based Localization and Semi-Autonomous Path Following System for Electric Scooters)

  • More and more elderly and disabled people are using electric scooters instead of electric wheelchairs because of higher mobility. However, people with high levels of impairment or the elderly still have difficulties in driving the electric scooters safely. Semi-autonomous electric scooter system is one of the solutions for the safety: Either manual driving or autonomous driving can be used selectively. In this paper, we implement a semi-autonomous electric scooter system with functions of localization and path following. In order to recognize the pose of electric scooter in outdoor environments, we design an outdoor localization system based on the extended Kalman filter using DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) and wheel encoders. We added an accelerometer to make the localization system adaptable to road condition. Also we propose a path following algorithm using two arcs with current pose of the electric scooter and a given path in the map. Simulation results are described to show that the proposed algorithms provide the ability to drive an electric scooter semi-autonomously. Finally, we conduct outdoor experiments to reveal the practicality of the proposed system.

  • 자동차 바퀴 방향 지시기란 운전자가 차 내부에서 자동차의 바퀴 방향을 실시간으로 알 수 있도록 전자 장비에 바퀴의 방향을 표시해주는 시스템으로서, 본 연구에서는 자동차 핸들의 회전량을 측정하여 LED(Light Emitted Diode)와 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)에 자동차 바퀴에 대한 방향 정보를 표시하는 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 즉, 이렇게 자동차의 핸들 회전량을 측정하여 그 측정 데이터를 데이터 처리부에 적절하게 적용함으로써 자동차 내부에서 운전자가 인지할 수 있도록 해준다면 주차된 차를 주행하기 위해 자동차 창문을 열고 바퀴 방향을 봐야하는 등의 번거로움을 해소시킬 수 있을 것이라 사료된다.

  • To be satisfied with complex load condition of electric vehicle, fuzzy logic control (FLC) is applied to improve speed response and system robust performance of induction traction machine based on indirect rotor field orientation control. The proposed propulsion system consists of two induction motors (IM) that ensure the drive of the two back driving wheels of lightweight electric vehicle by means the vehicle used for passenger transportation. The electronic differential system ensures the robust control of the vehicle behavior on the road. It also allows controlling, independently, every driving wheel to turn at different speeds in any curve. Our electric vehicle fuzzy inference system control's simulated in Matlab SIMULINK environment, the results obtained present the efficiency and the robustness of the proposed control with good performances compared with the traditional PI speed control, the FLC induction traction machine presents not only good steady characteristic, but with no overshoot too.

차륜-레일의 동적효과를 고려한 측풍 원인 탈선 예측방법 연구 (A Study on Prediction Method of Derailment Behaviors due to Cross-wind Considering Dynamic Effects of Wheel-rail Interaction)

  • 본 논문에서는 단일윤축 탈선이론을 적용하여 측풍 조건에서 주행 중인 철도차량의 탈선을 예측하는 방법을 제시하였다. 기존 연구에서는 측풍에 의한 탈선은 모두 전복탈선이라고 가정하여 탈선 예측 이론을 개발하였다. 그러나 이러한 가정은 특수한 주행조건하에서 차륜 타고오름 탈선의 가능성을 무시하고 있다. 또 기존의 측풍 탈선 이론은 주행 중 발생하는 차륜-궤도 사이의 마찰력, 동적상호작용과 같은 주행조건이 탈선에 미치는 영향을 고려할 수 없었다. 본 논문의 방법은 차륜-궤도 사이의 동적 영향, 횡가속도 및 켄트 영향, 측풍 영향 등을 동시에 고려할 수 있었다. 본 이론의 결과를 기존 이론 및 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하여 타당성을 검증하였다.

4륜 거동 측정에 의한 카트 프레임의 비틀림특성 분석 (Analysis of the Kart Frame Twisting Characteristics using 4 Wheel Motion Measurement)

  • A kart is a vehicle without the suspension system and the differential gear. The kart frame as an elastic body plays the role of a spring. By the cornering of a kart, rolling, pitching and twisting motions are induced in the kart frame. Also the slip or noncontact of the wheel and a permanent deformation of the kart frame can be induced. In order to examine closely this phenomenon, measurement on height-displacements with various sensors and tracking system and analysis on the kart frame twisting characteristics with the rolling and pitching angle are needed. According to the measurement result, while driving in a curve at high speed the kart frame is quite twisted. Analysis on the measurement results shows that a kart used primarily in high speed requires a frame with low torsional stiffness and a frame material with high tensile strength and large elongation.

  • Maintaining track tension in tracked vehicles minimizes the excessive load on the tracks and prevents the peal-off of tracks from the road-wheel, and adequately guarantees the stable and improved driving of the tracked vehicles. However, the track tension cannot be easily measured due to the limitation in the sensor technology, harsh environment, etc. In this study, the track tension is estimated in realtime from the measurable signals of tracked vehicles and controlled based on a fuzzy logic controller. The proposed control system is implemented on tracked vehicles and its performance is evaluated under various driving conditions.
